We have spent the last few weeks watching a ton of streamers and youtubers play our game, it's really fun watching people enjoy the game and come together to solve the puzzles.

We have seen and heard that especially level 2-29 has been a wall for a lot of people (we saw a couple of streamers spend an hour on this level alone, but they endured and succeeded, which is crazy! Thank you for being so persistent). We made some changes to help improve this puzzle and it's onboarding.

We have also gotten some valuable feedbacks on other things, thank you guys for being vigilant and reporting issues you find!

• Minor changes to level 2-29 (now level 2-30), the puzzle is still the same, but with a minor adjustment it might be easier to read (crossing fingers*).
  
• We added a new level 2-29 before the really difficult one, to better prepare levels for the incoming challenge!
  
• We updated the implementation of keybindings and how they are presented in the menu, now correct key should be displayed according to your keyboard.
  
• Level 2-23 has been changed a little bit, but we forgot to update the "best score" for it!
  

We thought it would be really cool to support the Linux community by making a native Linux build for Rob Riches, and it's available now!

This is a nice opportunity for us as a team to learn more about building for Linux, and also to prepare ourselves for the Steam Deck. We have tested it on Ubuntu and Manjaro, so we hope that works fine with your systems. Would love to hear from you if you are happy with it.

• Merged Mouse-Only mode and DPAD mode, and made a separate toggle for always showing mouse! Thank you ak-ryuu for pointing out it was confusing, and also BadCodePlays on youtube for showing the mouse cursor issues!
  
• Made right click double as left click, made the spacebar double as enter, and IJKL work as WASD/Arrow Keys, to hopefully cover some more ground there! Thank you for inspiring this!
  
• Also made a super tiny thing happen if you hover over my name in the credits, but sshh, I didn't tell anyone else about this so keep it between us >.> <-- DO NOT CLICK THIS IF YOU WORK FOR MEGAPOP! And don't check any commits related to the credits-page!

Hello everyone, hope you enjoy solving our puzzles in Rob Riches. We have made a few updates to the game that are live now:

• Added optimal step counts for each level in the level list, this is what we developers think are the best possible solutions for each level. This is a nice reference for people to maximize their own steps, and is an open challenge to try and find better solutions than we have!
  
• Added one more secret and achievement!
  
• Added more settings for graphics.
  
• Fixed an unintended level solution (this has been taken into consideration for minimum step count)
  
• Fixed multiple visual bugs.

For those of you who played the demo, you will see quite a lot has changed in the past months, including a new full 3D-modeled Rob Riches live in the game, along with huge visual improvements to our environments and temples. We think this is definitely one of the coolest looking puzzle games out there now! We have also added more features, such as quality of life with better settings options and an undo feature!

We challenge you all to see who finds the most optimal paths of the puzzles and the fewest number of steps to solve each temple!

Hello fellow adventurers! We have finally announced the release date for Rob Riches. The adventure starts on the 16th of November, and it launches as a premium game for PC (Steam), iOS and Android!

Welcome to our Steam-page for Rob Riches. Our upcoming puzzle adventure game has been in development for a while by now, and we feel we have something great cooking for you all. With this page we plan to keep you updated as we progress towards our October launch. The current page shows the state the game is in right now, but way more is coming. So, Wishlist to follow our progress.



So, what is Rob Riches all about? As you can see you play as Rob Riches, an adventurer and treasure hunter. He is on a constant search for the next big treasure, but to get hold of them he has to go into deserted temples around the world. And, of course, those temples are filled with traps and challenges. The game is hence about solving the temple mysteries!



During the autumn and winter, we prototyped a lot of games internally, and when the dust settled it was Rob Riches which was clearly the best candidate. It was fun and interesting from the first iteration, and as we have experimented with more worlds, traps, levels and a full setting around it we have fallen more and more in love with it. If you love puzzle games, we are fairly certain you will really dig Rob Riches!



The first prototype was inspired by one the early ice-gyms in Pokemon. We felt this puzzle had a lot more to it, and we decided to build more functionality into it. As we did, we unraveled a pandoras box of cool gameplay mechanics. We didnt want to make it an action game, more zen-like in nature, so we decided then to hone in towards the TRAPS of ancient temples. As that whole gameplay came along, we saw this game deserved a really cool world around it, and then invented a world around and Rob Riches himself.

Our first external showing of the game was then at the recent Big Indie Pitch (PC/Console edition), where the game was tied for third place and got an Honorable mention. Showed to a variety of judges, we felt this was the first proof point of the quality we are building.



By now we have built three distinct worlds, taking inspiration from the ancient world. One is a Maya, one is a Viking (of course, we are Norwegians) and one is Egyptian in nature. Using these ancient places means we have a lot of cool stuff to pull from.

With this game we are then making it a premium experience, lasting a few hours depending on your wits, pace and wish (there will be ways to find smarter ways through the temple, more on that later). We hope, and believe, you can really immerse yourself in this world, and are now also building a full soundtrack and custom music around it. We will do all we can to make it a rewarding, intriguing and unique puzzle adventure experience.
