Your career as a security researcher ended abruptly when Big State moved onto the island. With no job and no way out, your path is to rain glorious comeuppance with firearms, explosives, and a little cyber-infiltration.
Get aggro in wide-open areas swarming with enemies, or break into living quarters and workplaces to give your victims a fun surprise. Blow your ammo and switch to classic melee weapons, and when that fails, use your cyber skills to pull off feats on the edge of human comprehension.
Dive into a world full of conspiracies and corruption. Discover nonsensical architecture and impossible pieces of engineering. Read deranged writings in text files and on walls. The island is isolated in a world much like our own, but crazier, filthier, and more broken.
The engine is built from the ground up to be reverse-engineered and modded. Is a mission too hard? You can tweak it. Does that parking lot look a little plain? You can add new assets in a reasonable amount of time.
