Huh, has been a while, hasn't it? Hope y'all have been good, etc. etc.
So I got a 3D printer recently and figured I could make some of the game's cars printable, specifically the ones from v1.0 (pre-Steam stuff). So I did. If you wanna make some yourself, they're available on Thingiverse entirely for free: https://www.thingiverse.com/fabiofontes/
I might make more later, we'll see. I'll more than likely make them in the same order I added them to the game, so that gives you an idea of when your own favourites will be available.
That'll be it for now, seeya next time!
Yep, this is a big one. Not just the update itself, that one's fairly chunky. But it's also the last update to the game, which carries a bit of weight in and of itself. A bit of them pesky feels, ye know? I'll address this whole "it's the last one" deal further down, but in the meantime...
v1.2.0 had a few of them bugs. Specifically: - The "blue ball crash" still wasn't fixed. I hope it is now. I swear, blue balls have never been this frustrating to deal with. - There were issues with scrolling between cars in the menu for Endless Road. - Related with the above fix, the scrolling message meant for Van Diesel in the Endless Road car selection was sometimes being shown for other cars. - Fixed a bug in Shifty Gear where one couldn't select past the Custom 1 decal for player 2/CPU when pressing right. - The Suburbia environment wasn't being drawn properly in Shifty Gear. Too many houses and too much z-fighting. Fighting's for the cars, not the Zs, dammit! And that'll be it for now! Seeya next time!
Yep, been a while hasn't it? Sorry about that, but the game has a few more things!
MORE CARS
Bringing the total to 15, you now have more cars to scribble some lettuces on, or whatever you kids like to do with cars these days. What's that, one of them is hidden up there? Well, if you know you know, don't you know?
MORE ENVIRONMENTS
Because it doesn't hurt to make runs more visually diverse, you got more scenery to look at, bring the total of those to 24.
MINOR ADJUSTMENTS
- Fixed a bug that'd have you lose speed when in midair while offroad.
- The custom decal folder path now requires a button to be held for it to be visible.
And that'll be it! Hope you dig the additions and seeya next time!
So, the game crash caused by the spiked balls the cops toss at you? I said it was fixed in the previous patch, but turns out it wasn't. So I took a more brute-force approach, and hopefully it's fixed now. The keyword being "hopefully".
On a brighter note, this week I started work on v1.2.0, which will be a content update. More cars to draw eggplants on, more silly environments to do the fasts in, that kind of stuff. Below you have the first of the new cars:
And that'll be it for now! I'll let ya know once I got some more on this!
So here's a rundown of what this one fixes: - Booting the game on Linux was iffy (translation: borked). It should be working well now (at least on Ubuntu, which is what I can officially support), and sorry for taking a while to fix this. - Saving was prone to some errors, specifically cars and environments not being saved. Things should be better now. - A rare game-crashing bug would occur related with the spiked balls dropped by the police. That should be fixed. And that's it for now. Seeya next time!
Another quick patch fixing 2 things: - The "Rubberband Champion" Steam Achievement wasn't working properly. It is now. - An exploit related with racking up points by button-mashing air tricks has been toned down. Read, toned-down, not removed. Also added a nod to the person that found the exploit, for good measure. You'll know it when you see it.
Yeah, Steam screenshots weren't working. You can now mash that F12 to your heart's content!... or whatever key you assigned, I'm not gonna judge! That'll be it, seeya next time!
So the leaderboard display at the end of a run had a display issue, showing the #1 score at #10, instead of... showing the #10 score. As you normally would. Because of course there's something to fix right at release! If you see "v1.1.3" on the bottom-left corner of the title screen, you're all good to go!
