New flight controls

Hello airfield managers,

I'm back with an update in which I implemented the gamepad support, reviewed a mini-game and added a new gift! Let's see the details:

[h2]Gamepad[/h2]
This feature is in beta. Please report any bugs here: Bug report.

Now you can play with your favorite gamepad. The game automatically detects the connectivity; you can also switch between mouse/keyboard or gamepad in game by simply pressing the keys.




[h2]Bomber/VIP escort[/h2]
The mini-game Bomber/VIP escort has been revised.


  • Added two new maneuvers, usable only once, but allowing the plane to move more widely.
  • Added a message indicating the number of incoming enemy aircraft.
  • The number of enemies now increases with each mini-game in the same combat session.
  • Raised a little bit the difficulty.




[h2]McKennon's P-51 livery gift[/h2]
Those who subscribe to my newsletter will receive a code by email to unlock the exclusive P-51 livery of the ace Pierce McKennon. The new livery will replace the standard one (P-51) in the Normady USA campaign.

It will not change the performance of the aircraft. Those who are already subscribed will receive the code via email.

New Update Auto Pilot!

Hello everybody!

I've released a major update that introduce a new way to approach missions. Now you can play in an auto-combat mode, where pilots will perform the combat completely automatically, without you having to act in the mini-games (Of course, the manual mode will always be present).
At the beginning of each mission, you now have two buttons to choose how to approach the mission. Besides, throughout the day, you'll also be able to choose to do some missions in manual mode and others in automatic mode.



[h2]What changes during the mission?[/h2]

The action icons will still appear, but they will no longer be clickable. To their right will be shown an animation of what your pilot is doing. Obviously each animation is different depending on the type of action.



Keep in mind, however, that you'll have less control and less information. The manual mode is the one that gives you the best chance of mission success because you can take direct action.
All bonuses from skills bought in HQ will also be applied in automatic mode. So for example with the skill "Strong arm" your pilots will have more chance to hit the target.



[h2]Additional improvement[/h2]
I added a switch in the squadron choice menu to refuel aircraft before a mission. I noticed that the square button was not very clear, couldn't tell if it was clickable or not. With the slider switch now it should be easier to immediately identify which aircraft need assistance.

Added in the Options menu the link for leaving a feedback.
(Data will be collected anonimously).


[h2]macOS build[/h2]
Finally is here! Now you can play Until the Last Plane on your macOS. If you encounter any issue, please report it in the section on the forum.
The game is designed for working better on 16:9 monitors, so there will be two black bars on Mac models with 16:10 monitors.

It's good to have friends, expecially if they are indie developers like me and they're making strategy wargames steamhappy So we decided to run a new bundle deisgned for wargames like us steamthumbsup

Sorry, I was busy with the Full Metal Sergeant announcement.

So back to us. Based on the feedback I've received from you guys, it seems that a lot of the mini-games are not liked, so I'm working on improving the game....I will be adding more mini-games! No, no, don't worry, I'm joking steamhappy

[h2]Welcome auto combat![/h2]
Each mission will be playable with automatic combat mode, so no more mini-games. When deciding which pilots to send, you can also choice to do the mission automatically or manually.

New update "Rearmed"!

Hi everyone. The new major update "Rearmed" v.1.1 has been released! It's focused on giving more depth to aircraft management and repairs.

[h2]New bombs management[/h2]

Bombs have been separated from ammunition and they are now the 4th resource. Each aircraft has its own amount of bombs it can carry. This allows a more precise management of the squadron: bombing with fighters will require more units because they will return more often to reload.

[h2]New repairing system[/h2]

The in-platform repair system has been completely revised. Now you'll be able to perform multiple tasks at once, but the time and number of technicians required will be higher. You may decide to refuel an aircraft that has only returned for ammunition, so you don't risk it coming back for fuel anytime soon.
Note: It remains mandatory to repair/refuel the aircraft for the primary reason it landed.

[h2]Back to base![/h2]

It is now possible to recall aircraft to the base and abort the mission. However you will receive a reduced percentage of the reward, based on the progression in the mission.
Note: not available for "Escort bomber" and "Bomber attack" missions

[h2]New workbench[/h2]

The 2nd workbench in the workshop has been revised, now it allow to complete repair the seriously damaged aircrafts. The regeneration cost has been increased, now it requires 50 spare parts instead of 5; but even aircrafts can sustain more damage.

[h2]More info, more clear[/h2]

More information has been added during combat such as fuel level and ammo. Also, now when you hover the mouse over your aircraft, the fire cone preview appears.

[h2]New tanker[/h2]

Based on the new repairing update, the tanker was also revised. It is now no longer mobile but always gives the refueling speed bonus. Also it adds +10 fuel and its cost has been reduced by 30%.

[h2]Other features[/h2]


  • Customizable day duration: Added the possibility, from the options menu, to choose the length of the day. 3, 4 or 5 (default) minutes.
  • The Aces no longer take seriously damage.
  • Reduced the intercepting percentage during bombing. Form 25, 50, 75% to 20, 40, 60%.


[h2]Bug fix[/h2]

  • Fatigue: Added timer. Also, the crash check only starts if the user has chosen NO.
  • The ace of the Coldani event in Italy carried fatigue/stress values in the Normady map.

In the next update...

It's time to give some previews about the next update. It will focus on repair management in order to give more depth to field operations.

[h3]New bomb management[/h3]

Bomb load per aircraft has been added. They are now separated from ammunitions. Some planes will be able to carry more bombs and therefore return to base less often.

[h3]New repairing system[/h3]

The repair system will be completely revised. You will be able to choose what to repair/refuel when the aircraft is in at service platform. Obviously the more operations you choose, the more time and mechanics will be required.

[h3]Back to base![/h3]

You can finally call you pilots back to home.

New update "Friendship"!

Hi everyone. Is available the "Friendship" update (v.1016) focusing on pilots friends and morale.

[h2]Best friend[/h2]
Now every pilot can have a best friend (not everyone will). You can check it hoovering the mouse on the pilot in the hanger list.

The best friend will affect the stress and fatigue during combat; If two friends are in the same squadron they will accumulate 30% less fatigue and stress. But beware, if a pilot's best friend dies, they will suffer a morale malus of -50.

When you are about to send a squadron on a mission, you can now check the morale of each pilot. When you select two friendly pilots, the morale icon will turn yellow indicating that both will benefit from the bonus in battle.



[h2]Morale system revised[/h2]
Based on new "best friend" system, also the morale has been moved from squadron to single pilot. Now each pilot will have their own morale value. The morale shown in the top bar will then be an average between all pilots.

In addition, morale penalties in the event of a squadron member's death have been revised:


  • If a Captain will die: morale of each pilot -30
  • If an Ace will die: morale of each pilot -50


[h2]New chain event[/h2]
New chain event for the Russian campaign Moscow. From the second day will come to the camp the leader of the partisans with a request. Depending on the answers you give there may be a final bonus (the bonus will be carried over into subsequent Russian campaigns).

(Apologize but previous saves are not compatible, at the end of the event the bonus will not be awarded)

[h2]New features[/h2]

  • The menus of the buildings can now be closed with mouse right button.

[h2]Bug fixes[/h2]

  • Kurks campaign: The entry point of the landing track is now shorter, otherwise it would take too long for the planes to return.
  • Vehicles bombing missions: Fatigue and stress were not assigned.
  • The Ju-87 (Stuka) is no longer used by the enemy as an interceptor in the "bomb factory", "bomb artillery" and "bombing ship" missions.
  • Reduced the probability that a pilot will crash from fatigue.
