The Nightvision demo is now available! Nightvision is the first road-lite game combining an intense nighttime highway driving simulation with Roguelike elements such as randomly generated, endless levels. To begin with, all you know is that you need to get there fast, but the road is smooth and straight so that should be no problem, right? You're soon met with chaotically swerving roads, blind hills, inclement weather, retina-searing headlights, and more. If you fail a segment you can try again, but the road isn't quite how you remember it... Hone your driving skills, learn how to really push your humble car, and rely on your instincts, featuring the unique challenges of fast driving through a lonesome mountainscape, limited visibility, and no luxury of the same drive twice. Practice and enjoy an easy endless drive, or hand-craft your own blistering challenges to taunt your friends with in Sandbox Mode, giving you free rein to create over 10 quintillion different level variations. The demo lets you try out the Sandbox with only one level seed (out of 1 billion) available, and some Road & World options are disabled such as time of day (still allowing several MILLION variations in the demo!). Wishlist now, and be among the first to experience Story Mode and all of the world generating possibilities available in the full game when it launches on October 13th! Will you see the night through?

Happy 4th of July, Visionaries! Nightvision v0.8b is live! BIG UPDATE: - Discord integration now shows driving state, elapsed drive time, and current passphrase. - Cloud shadows fixed. - Fixed bug where a hole in the ground would sometimes appear along the edge of the road. - NPC (non-player car) psychopathic tendencies reduced somewhat. - Stopped spawning new NPCs after crash/too-slow fail. - Fixed misaligned volume sliders (no idea how those moved... spooky!). - Fixed ultra-rare bug where falling through the ground meant falling through time and space forever. - Fixed misaligned stats-screen menu. - New fail condition for Rainbow Road (secret mode). - AI waypoint recycling (in pursuit of truly infinite Endless Mode). - [Non-Demo Beta] Secret Visual Styles/Modes now available. - Improved a thing I can't tell you about. :P - Minor performance optimizations. - Many other small bug fixes and tweaks.

Drive Forever
Nightvision is a "road-lite" night-driving simulation with randomly generated levels. You must go fast, that much is clear, but why? And how fast is too fast? With intense highway driving, a story mode that gradually ramps up the difficulty, and a fresh world and road to master each time you get behind the wheel, Nightvision will have you in a cold sweat as you anticipate the next curve about to come into your headlights.
- Realistic seat-of-your-pants racing featuring the challenge of limited visibility; is that a sheer mountain pass lurking in the darkness, or a switchback on the edge of a cliff?
- Randomly generated terrain. Never the same drive twice.
- Lost desert highways engineered by RoadGen™ artificial intelligence in real-time carve through the random hillsides.
- Engaging story integrated seamlessly without long cut-scenes taking away from the action.
- Sandbox mode: to practice, hand-craft unique challenges, or leave up to the RNG gods.
- One BILLION world seeds, four different RoadGen™ algorithms, and over a dozen road and world settings, offer >10 QUINTILLION levels. Play 'em all!
- Share your favorite level passphrases with your friends and dare them to make it as fast or as far. Or just repeat your favorites and try for better times.
- Literal Endless mode to test your endurance or just enjoy a relaxing drive.
- Spectacular crashes! Die over and over and love every minute. Wincing has never been so much fun.
- No map. No memorizing the "track". No getting bored.
- Unlockable, game-changing secret modes hearken back to the history of driving games and give a fresh visual take on the gameplay you love.
- Gripping original soundtrack that mirrors the tension of the drive.
- Experience the thrill (and fear) of what lies in the darkness ahead.
What's makes Nightvision the Rogue-of-the-Road? There isn't Permadeath in the traditional Rogue sense. Instead, if you crash or don't go fast enough, you'll restart the same chapter but the level will be completely random within the same road and world characteristics. So you can't memorize a track, and instead have to rely purely on skill and technique... and maybe a little bit of luck.
You'll need to maintain your speed and your wits or you'll never make it...
But make it where?
It's light versus dark.
It's risk versus reward.
It's life or death.
Whatever happens, you have to see the night through
