What if I paid for access in the past?
If you had a Closed Beta Supporter Pass, a Slacker Pack, or a Kickstarter Founders Pack you should have Online Access already enabled for your account. If the game is telling you that you still need Online Access, please reach out to @CAKO in Discord here -> https://discord.gg/rushdownrevolt

How do I unlock all characters? Do I have to pay for them?
No, you do not have to pay for any of the core 12 combatants. They are also all unlocked in training mode, in local play, and even in online custom lobbies. The only place characters are locked is in matchmaking queue to ensure new players have a proper introduction to the game and its characters. To unlock new characters, simply play matchmaking games and a new character will unlock after every game is played.
Can I use any controller with this game?
Yes! You can use any controller you want. You may need to go into Steam Big Picture mode to fiddle with the settings to get it to work right for you, but all controllers should work out of the box (with a few exceptions - listed below.).
- GameCube Controllers require the Zadig driver. GameCube adapters must also be plugged in before the game boots up. If the adapter is unplugged during the game, the game will have to be restarted.
- Nintendo Switch Pro controllers require a special Steam Big Picture mode configuration that will prevent other controllers from working at the same time. Said differently: a single PC device cannot both have a Nintendo Switch Pro controller and any other controller.
What happened to old Gauntlet or Friendles Mode?
We're bringing back Friendlies and Gauntlet mode next week! They'll be combined into one "Friendlies" mode and there will be a lobby setting called "Recovery" which allows you to decide whether or not you heal between rounds - as was the standard way to play in Gauntlet and Friendlies, respectively.

This update includes:
- The long-awaited 2v2 queue is finally here!
- A new leaderboard system that showcases players with the highest win count. Win matches to climb the rankings each week!
- A major polish pass on bugfixes and performance improvements. The game has never booted up faster or ran smoother!
For this weekend only, we are bringing back something very special: Guardians mode! This 2v2 and 3v3 tag team game mode will be available for queue until Monday, so hop on to Rushdown Revolt now and try it out with your friends!
Bugfixes - Fixed some instances of XP gained value displaying incorrectly - Fixed issues with Mastery > Achievements tabs not functioning as intended - Fixed issue where a default unresponsive track would appear for new players - Fixed issue where untucked Side-Bar would lock but stay untucked when entering the Fight submenu - Fixed Zhurong Raven and Phoenix skin descriptions displaying incorrectly - Various minor visual/interface improvements - Removed settings button from CPUs in local games - Fixed issue where Level 10 Mastery Rewards: Player Icon and title did not appear to be unlocked in your inventory even though they were. Known Issues - Sometimes your Profile customizations will reset to default. All Stages - Combat Intensity has been tuned and updated to line up correctly. All legal stages except for Cyber Skyline now have an Intense soundtrack. AfiGalu - Grabs now have the correct distance offset to place the opponent in AnGs hands when grabbed. - sSp forces and spark cancel windows were erroneously changed during the redesign. The forces have been tweaked and the cancel once again buffers to f12. Raymer - sSp orb should now properly clank and give the opponent spark. The clank-only hitbox offset has been slightly increased. - Some collision logic has been edited on dSp grenade. This should hopefully fix the fake zoom bug. - Frozen stasis grenade no longer reactivates on opponents shields. Reina - Tumble animation has been adjusted to prevent Reina from teleporting to the ground when she gets knocked down or techs.
A hotfix is now live with more fixes to throws on Weishan and Raymer, and Ashani recovery bugs!
Post-Reina Balance Patch 10/19/22 General: - Fixed bugs related to spark cancels out of throws on Zhurong, Seth, and Weishan. Ashani: - Air sSp: - Blink window is now before the forward travel. - Fixed a bug where it could hit twice. - Fixed a bug that allowed Ashani to use uSp twice in the air from the rekka. - Due to this bug fix, the turnaround followup tech had to be removed. Reina: Note: all damage adjustments will not affect knockback calculation, and thus should not affect combo routes/kill potential. - Now has an animation for her missed tech slide in both stances. - Fixed a bug where Reina's kunai did not die when eaten by Ezzie. Ezzie dSp now spawns a normal lvl1 Abraxxas when a kunai is eaten. Blade Stance: - UAir: Strong hit DI angle multiplier: 1x -> 1.2x Chain Stance: - DThrow: Now applies a normal amount of meter gain. - Jab: No longer has a reverse window on startup (this mechanic may be brought back across the cast later) - UStrike: Damage: 14/11 -> 12/9 - DStrike: base damage: 9 -> 7 - FStrike: base damage: 8 -> 7 - Fair: base damage: 8 -> 7 - UAir: - Weak hit base damage: 7 -> 6 - Weak hit DI Multiplier: 1x -> 1.2x - Autocancel start frame: f25 -> f35 - BAir: base damage 8 -> 7 USp: - Teleport distance on grab success has been reduced - DI multiplier: 1x -> 1.15x - KB scaling: 10 -> 25 - Now only grants 5 seconds of buff (additive) instead of refilling completely NSp: - Projectile kick angles on several moves adjusted. - Grants spark when dislodged from terrain. - No longer breaks when kicked by opponents. - Minimum kick force: 12 -> 14 SSp: - Hit now grants spark.
**Hotfix #2 10/12/22** The Reina desync was observed to still be happening on the Bloodlust skin. This should hopefully be fixed now. More Reina bugfixes: - Fixed a bug where Reina could cancel her chain dthrow before the throw frame with shield. - Fixed a bug where Reina did not have a grab tech window on her blade stance grab. - Fixed an oversight where Reina's grab was frame 8 instead of frame 6. Grab is now active f6-7 in both stances.
PATCH NOTES - Casual Matchmaking has been renamed to 1v1. - Zippy Respawn has been disabled in 1v1 matchmaking. - KO zooms should now work as intended. - Reina: - Fixed a bug where Reina could not special cancel into sSp in blade stance. - Fixed a desync caused by Reina sSp. - Fixed a bug where chain stance ledge attack on the Bloodstained skin had the wrong trail effect. - Velora: - dSp can now be plinked with the grab button.

We do not support this mode, if a bug is found specifically in DirectX mode and not in Vulkan it is not guaranteed to be fixed. Eventually once Vulkan has been optimized on all systems, this workaround will be removed.

Rushdown Revolt explores making it FUN for you to introduce uninitiated friends into the fighting game genre. Until now, the most common way to learn fighting games was to get your @$$-whooped. Rushdown Revolt's Tag Team and Gauntlet modes explores an exhilarating and collaborative experience for hardcore and new fighting game players to enjoy this beautiful genre together.
Core Mechanics
We've spent the last few years focused on making the most electric, combo-centric and expressive fighting game we can imagine.
Sparks are the defining mechanic of Rushdown Revolt. It's embedded into every attack and move in the game and - once understood - Sparks will push you faster and further than you've ever gone in a fighting game before.
At odds with their skill potential, Sparks are as natural to harness as dribbling a Basketball or Soccer ball (once you've gotten a bit of practice of course). At the earliest levels of play, even modest use of Sparks will dramatically improve your speed and skill in Rushdown Revolt.
Sparks directly support our primary goal for Rushdown Revolt's 1v1 gameplay: to create a skill ceiling so high and with so much potential for expression that Revolt will never cease to push our players to increasingly-inspiring feats of skill.
Gauntlets turn our core 1v1 gameplay into a never-ending round robin hangout where you can come and go as you please. Gauntlets are the go-to destination for players to congregate online whether you're hosting a custom lobby or hitting quick play from the start screen. Each player rotates through a never-ending cycle of players to defeat the reigning Ruler of the Gauntlet.
Armed with only one life, you'll have to give it your best shot. The Ruler, meanwhile, never replenishes their health after each successive victory until they are usurped. No matter how skilled you are, as Ruler you will eventually be taken out by the never-end hoard of Revolters.
Tag Team pits a team of Revolters and Rulers into a 2v2 or 3v3 Tag-Battle. Each player on each team rotates through several lives. While your team is rotating through another team member, all "non-active" Assisters have access to their Characters' Four Special Abilities in order to directly contribute to the battle.
After you're knocked out for the first time, you'll be armed with a PowerPlay!
Even though you will have more lives coming, you will unlock a new ability. Think of this as your "Ultimate" attack: You will jump into the action and have full control of your character to set up any number of exhilarating team combos with your active team member.
West Coast to Europe? No problem. Vortex Rollback supports controller-to-screen time of a blistering 2 frames with no additional delay necessary up to 150ms latency. *
Vortex Rollback been in development for four years to fully embed it into every aspect of our game engine in order to minimize delay and rollback impacts. Additionally, Vortex Rollback supports Dynamic Save States so not just 2 Players - but up to Six Players - can come and go in our Gauntlet-style play.
