You already know the Steam Points Shop, right? There are two kinds of people in this world: those who have played Happy Game, and those who haven't.

If you have played Happy Game, you should keep an eye on your Steam Inventory, because we've just released a set of Steam Trading Cards featuring your favorite happy creatures and other... things. An hour of playtime should grant you 4 cards, out of the total 8. In addition to the cards, you can get yourself a set of very happy emoji for your Steam chats and spooky backgrounds for your Steam profile, either by collecting cards and crafting badges, or via the Points Shop.



And if you haven't played Happy Game yet, well, maybe this is just one more reason to give it a try and experience Mr. Jaromr Plach's most disturbing creation yet.

This small update addresses an issue that occured on systems running high refresh rate monitors with very high frame rate (120+ fps), which made the game's point-and-drag mechanic a little bit harder (slower) to use. If you're a user of a high refresh rate monitor, the frame rate will now be capped at a lower value, closer to the standard 60 Hz, and the game will work as intended.

Game is now playable on screens with ultrawide resolution.

Happy Game is an absurd horror adventure game designed by Jaromr Plach, who previously brought you the family-friendly games Botanicula and CHUCHEL. This time, however, Jaromr decided to make something a little less cheerful, and the result of his teams work is a psychedelic journey through a little boys three horrible nightmares, each with its own style, creatures and puzzles.

Once again, were very happy to have worked with our favorite Czech music duo DVA, who created all of the spooky sounds and music for Happy Game. The original soundtrack is also available to purchase on Steam and is coming later to streaming services as well.

The long-awaited news is finally here! Happy Game, the latest Amanita Design game designed by Jaromr Plach (Botanicula, CHUCHEL) is releasing on Steam next Thursday, October 28th. Just in time for Halloween! To support the announcement of the new release date, weve made for you a rather unconventional trailer. Happy Game will, as you're already used to, launch alongside DLC which includes the original soundtrack by Czech freak-folk duo DVA, as well as a hefty digital art book capturing Happy Game in various stages of development, from the initial designs to its final form. It is not recommended to look at these just before bedtime, as it may not necessarily induce happy dreams. This year's Gamescom is currently happening, and while we're not having an online booth or anything, our charming little Happy Game was chosen to represent our country, Czech Republic, in this year's EuroPlay competition. And maybe it will be your vote to decide who wins - you can now vote for your favorite happy game on this website, and it's literally a matter of 3 clicks (that includes opening the website.) Unfortunately, we were unable to make it happen in spring as we initially announced, but in order to deliver the best possible Happy Game, were going to need these extra few months to add some more blood and fine-tune the screeches. Then again, Happy Game feels just like the right game to accompany you during the rainy days of grey autumn, and we hope you wont mind the extra waiting too much.

With this off the table, you can now look forward to more Happy content here on Steam and our socials, as well be getting closer to the new release window. We will specify the day and time of release as soon as we can.
