I\'ve received quite a few questions about DSC vs DS3:
How similar is DSC to DS3?
As a Deadswitch 3 player, you will be very familiar with the gameplay of DSC. However, there are a lot of cool new features and mechanics like Sliding, Mantling, Drivable Vehicles, and much more in DSC.
Customization has been massively expanded including total character customization, weapon skins, attachment skins, custom laser & flashlight colors, and more!
Why is DSC a new game, as opposed to updating DS3?
Development for DS3 started in 2019 and there have been a lot of tech advancements since then. As such, the older game engine is harder to optimize and would require a complete overhaul starting fresh with a new game engine was ultimately the best decision.
I also want to preserve DS3 in its current state without changing the underlying metas that exist.
Will DS3 still receive updates?
The short answer is YES however these will most likely be performance oriented.
