Hi! It's been a month since the release of Gensokyo Odyssey. I would like to thank everyone for the high praise the game has received this past month, which has greatly exceeded my expectations of audience reaction. I have poured years of work into this project, and it means everything to me that it has been so well-received. I want to thank all the players for your support and feedback, which have been extremely helpful in improving the game and making it even better. I've recently finished a semester and now I am able to return to further refinement of the game. We're working on adding: - Adding unique special minigames for most of each boss - Expanding post-game Blackjack - Refining some cutscenes (including a cameo from a certain Walfas lover) - Balancing some fights - Adding more dialogue - More leniency towards requirements for the Secret Boss route
As for releasing the soundtrack on platforms like Spotify and other streaming services, I've received many questions regarding the status of this. I've been working towards release for over a month; well before the game's release. Unfortunately, in my pursuits I have been thoroughly convinced that many distributors do not provide service congruent to the demands of the public. Despite my efforts, it seems the time when the soundtrack releases is at the mercy and leisure of these distributors. As such, I cannot promise or provide an ETA. Rest assured that I will continue to strive for a timely release for the enjoyment of the people. For the time being, the soundtrack is streamable on BandCamp, playable on YouTube, and downloadable on Steam.
