Hexham Ruins Update

Warriors of Tynedale,

One of my biggest updates has dropped, again focusing on the quality of the game and the fun:

Gameplay:
-New puzzle in Hexham Ruins
-Area redesigns for Longsands Beach, Kielder Forest and Dunstanburgh Castle, including more enemy placements and variations, vegetation placement and challenge
-More pots and enemies in Dungeon 2 and 4

Enemies:
-Two more monsters have slipped into the world, well hidden under bushes, pots and rocks. One will hunt you down, the other is a little lazier but will still jump out at you boo!

World Building:
-Well, since I created the world, I thought Id move in if you can find me!
-A variety of food and drink items have been delivered, celebrating the great traditions of Tynedale
-More books around Tynedale, available if you want to dive deeper into the world of Tynedale

Graphical and animation updates too:
-New bridge designs in Gosforth courtesy of a little charity fun run and our resident stone mason laid the foundations
-Ladder climbing animations instead of running down, youll climb elf and safety n all dat.
-UI improvements and changes for better player feedback
-Smoke particles for them chimneys and camp fires

Sound FX:
-Water falls sound like water falls rather than silent things
-There are a range of pots smash and bush chopping sounds
-Cleaned up some sounds sounding when shouldnt

Bugs Fixes:
-Various small bugs splattered, including some collisions and enemy respawning

Finally, unbelievably, it is Tynedales Two-Year Anniversary! Happy Birthday, Tynedalers! Thank you for your incredible support!

Great Park Update

Welcome, Intrepid Adventurer!

Another update for you, you legends of Tynedale! This one is mostly focuses on improving the quality-of-life of the game:
- New artwork updates and numerous graphical fixes and been sprinkled across the land.
-Theres also been a major coding update to the health system that had created a game breaking but we squashed the critter! Splat!
-New particle effects added too, making the world feel even more lived in.
-A FPS options has been added
-Other incidental bug fixes too, mostly around player interactions that had been accidentally removed during a programming update
-Camera fixes, including in and around Druid Bay
-More enemy placements go get em, Tiger!

Ford & Etal Update

Hello, Adventurer,
Another big update for the Legends of Tynedale is here!

Dungeons:
-new rooms have been added to the Ashington Mines
-the Laidly Worm of Spindleston Heugh has had a wrist slap (or tail!) for being too aggressive (naughty!)
-there has been some design and puzzle refinement as well

Tynedale:
-gate guards are now animated when opening the gate
-another underground cave can be found. More food options (yum!)
-all gravestones have a story to tell. New graphical updates, refinements and font corrections

Audio Improvements:
-low health sound plays to warn the player if health very low
-more sounds for enemies, such as bursting out of walls or water

More Tips, Secrets and Lore:
-added to the Book of the Unexpected in the library and loading screens

Bug squashing (stomp!):
-pressure switches would sometimes unpressure despite a weight on top - fixed
-extendable enemy moves smoother
-extendable enemy graphical update
-corrected music for some underground rooms
-bool not loading correctly for one underground puzzle - fixed

Edlingham Update

Tynedale Traveller!

The Edlingham Update is here. This update includes much enrichment of the the world of Tynedale, including new assets, graphical updates, animations and sounds.

You can also rebind your keys if playing on the keyboard or you can use the gamepad.

More details below:

UX
-Keyboard Rebinding options now available
-Buttons change reference if controller inserted or removed
-New scene transition animations
-New title screen animations
-New Pandoras box animations
-New Tips and Lore on screen transition

Major Graphical Updates:
-New building models
-Walk under gates and house entrances
-New assets and graphical changed

Bug Fixes:
-Player can be hurt by other projectiles while falling to death fixed
-Player can pass through fall2Death after dying - fixed
-Many other quality-of-life improvements

Dunstanburgh Castle

Tynedalers!

The Dunstanburgh Castle update has landed. A huge range changes have come to Tynedale:

New Enemy:
-Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No its its the killer falcon! The new falcon is up in the sky and will be swooping in to aid your misery!

Gameplay Improvements:
-Save inventory choices between loads
-Rumble features for gamepad players. Buzzzzz

Update UI and UX:
-New dialogue boxes for rewards, signposts, NPCs and books
-New font
-Dungeon keys displayed in the top left corner, under heart pieces
-Coins fade out after a few seconds, keeping the camera clean
-Loading bar when starting the game
-Sound effects when selecting new weapons

Richer World:
-Take a trip to the beach, with waves and sounds
-Animated rocks in the river
-Fish in the water
-More sound FX in the world
-NPCs greet the player
-Additional pixelated animations
-Shadows and overlaps added to word objects
-New enemy and obstacle graphic designs

Bug Fixes:
-Shop UI in the Overworld has been fixed
-Sound effects for the Chillingham bull fixed
-Other bug fixes and performance issues fixed

Corbridge Update

Adventurers!

The Corbridge update has dropped. Tynedale has been invaded by new enemy because, you know, there arent enough things trying to kill you. In fact, many places and spaces have had more enemies invade them. So, get your sword out and smashy, smashy! Tread carefully in Kielder Forest as the places is shrouded in low clouds.

The band has got together to create more music and add more sounds: dungeons, UI and the world all feeling the groove. The UI has had some love and care. There are new colours, backgrounds and animations. Gamepad users can use the shoulder buttons for easy inventory screen swapping. Screen resolution options have been added too.

The Alnwick Update

Tynedalers,

I'm excited to announce the Alnwick update is here! I have been busy listening to feedback and working on improving the game. There are loads of new features to add to the experience, from achievements to more effects in the game! Enjoy!


New Features:

- rainfall to Allen Banks
- a windy storm at the top of the Cheviot mountains
- sandstorms in Blanchland
- achievements (10)
- animation to all dungeon doors
- animation to inventory selection (pops on selection)
- animated wall torches and candles
- animated hookshot use
- animated fire ring use
- more particle effects to secrets and reveals. Bombs too.
- developed Cragside, adding in another puzzle
- fireballs burning through grass
- more sound effects, eg rain, flames, weapon noises

Update v1.11 Environment Update

Hu-rah, fellow legends!

Another update has landed in Tynedale. This one focuses on environmental and experiential improvements, enriching the land!

Update v1.1 Controller Support Added

Hello!

Controller support is here! Players should be able to use an Xbox or similar controller to play!
