We hope you're as excited for the rework as we are! As we gear up to release the new and improved "The Pool Party" reworked episode next week on September 26th at 3pm EDT/12pm PDT/8pm BST, we wanted to share some of the big changes we've made to the episode.

Firstly, "The Pool Party" now truly lives up to its name. We've meticulously crafted the build-up for the party throughout the episode. From party prep to conversations with the other characters, we ensure that the anticipation is palpable and feels natural.

Player feedback on the episode has been at the foundation of this rework from the beginning. The tone of this episode is now in line with the rest of the series, and speaking of consistency, the personalities of our characters in this episode were a big focus for us and we worked hard to ensure that the characters felt true to themselves and that they act accordingly throughout the events of the episode.

Something were very excited for players to check out is the increased control weve given to the players over MC's personality. Your choices now carry a lot more weight in the story, shaping the events of the episode in more impactful ways. As a new member of the recently revived Social Planning Committee, your decisions will directly impact both the success of the party, as well as the relationships youve built from Episode 1. If you put in the time with the girls youll be able to find all the new sex scenes weve added into the rework!

If you have saves from Episode 2, you will be prompted to restart the episode from the beginning to enjoy the newly updated content.

While its not necessary to play the updated Episode 2 to continue Episode 3 saves, we should note that not doing so will reset your Episode 2 decisions to default settings. This means some of your choices may not align with your previous preferences.

Steve here. After a lot of hard work from the team, we're delighted to finally announce that the long-awaited rework of Episode 2 "The Pool Party" has an official date of September 26th locked in on Steam. Check out the official trailer on our YouTube!

We want every episode of CK to live up to the expectations of our fans, and Episode 2 originally didn't quite hit the mark of what CK is supposed to be, so we've been working non-stop on reworking the entire episode from the ground up and we're confident that it's now one of our best episodes ever. So...

[h2]What's new?[/h2]
As well as reworking what's already there, we've added in tonnes of new content for players to discover, including (but not limited to) new sex scenes, an expanded free roam, and more frat time with both the Wolves and the Apes! We've worked directly with the fanbase and their feedback to ensure that we've cut content that didn't fit CK, and I personally led the re-writing of the episode.

[h2]How will this affect existing saves?[/h2]
A lot has changed in episode 2, if you load an existing episode 2 save now you will be placed at the beginning of the episode with your decisions from episode 1 intact. Loading an episode 3 save will give you the option to either start at the beginning of episode 2, or to continue from your save point in episode 3.
New choices that can be made in the episode 2 rework will be set to default options if you just load episode 3. We recommend starting episode 2 fresh to experience the great new content, and to ensure that you're making choices that feel right for you!

[h2]Will it cost anything?[/h2]
If you already own the Pool Party chapter then this rework is completely free. If you only own chapter 1, purchasing chapter 2 is required in order to access the reworked content.

Hey everyone!

The overhaul of Episode 2 "The Pool Party" is coming later this summer and we wanted to share some of the awesome things that it will contain with all of you.

[h3]Why are you overhauling episode 2 now?[/h3]

It's really important to us that every CK episode lives up to expectations and feels exciting to play. We often experiment with new ways of doing things with the hope of finding ways to make the game even more exciting.

Sometimes however, those experiments don't pan out as expected and we need to revisit them. Episode 2 is a prime example of that, it just didn't quite hit the mark of what CK is supposed to be.
After turning things around with Episode 3, we believe now's the perfect time to overhaul Episode 2 based on your feedback and turn it into one of our best episodes yet.

[h3]What's going to change?[/h3]

In order to make this happen, we're adding lots of new content, as well as adjusting pretty much all existing scenes in one form or another. Some have been fully reworked, some have been slightly edited and some completely removed.

We're also adding 10 new sex scenes (5 of which include penetration).

Here are some of the highlights of what's to come:

- The pool party free roam has doubled in size, with Chloe, Sam and Amber joining the fun!

- Get excited about a wet t-shirt contest, teaching Aubrey to swim in the deep end and an all new fight with a gate-crasher. (Also based on a popular request, the Mrs. Woods sex scene has been updated to include significantly less pubic hair)

- You'll have a much more active role in setting up the pool party as well, which include fun one-on-one scenes with Nora, Lindsey and Riley!

- If you're dating Nora, you have the chance to impress Mr. Rose. Are you good enough for his daughter?

- Lots of opportunities for alone time with many different girls. Sometimes you'll even have to choose between them. Just be careful, because they might get jealous.

- More frat time, with unique scenes for both Wolves and Apes!

- Penelope's AVN is gone, but you'll be able to help her with her new venture.

- Amber's detective storyline is also largely removed (but only the episode 2 one, the cabin storyline of episode 1 remains unchanged.)

[h3]Will this affect saves?[/h3]

Because of these and many other exciting changes that will transform episode 2 completely, we recommend that you replay the episode from the beginning and replay episode 3 as well, as it will also experience some small changes to align with the new and improved episode 2.

If you have an existing episode 2 save, loading it after the overhaul is out will keep all your decisions made during episode 1 and it will place you at the beginning of the all new episode 2 so that you can experience it fully.

If you have an existing episode 3 save, loading it after the overhaul will give you the option to start at the beginning of the all new episode 2 with your decisions from episode 1 still in tact (which is what we recommend), or to just keep on playing from your save point in episode 3, with the new choices that were added in the episode 2 overhaul simply set to the default option.

[h3]Will I need to pay for this update?[/h3]

If you already own episode 2: "The pool party" on Steam, then you will get this overhaul as a free update as soon as it's out! If you do not own the episode, you will need to buy it in order to get the overhaul.

I wanted to give you guys an update on what we're currently working on and all the exciting things to come!

[h3]Episode 2 Revamp[/h3]
There is no way for us to let people properly play one episode without having played all previous episodes. Even though we've added a number of scenes to Episode 2 back in December, we're very aware that it has some fundamental issues that require deeper changes.

With Episode 3 out of the way, we thought it'd be good to revisit Episode 2. We're currently working a revamp that will add new core storylines, remove others (such as the Amber detective storyline) and overhaul all existing scenes. We'll be adding a large amount of new scenes and sex scenes with the goal of Episode 2 feeling completely different, much more in line with the College Kings you know and love, and worthy of replaying.
This update will come Summer 2023 and will be free to all existing owners of Episode 2. We hope that this will cement the longevity of College Kings, as we have lots more content planned for the future!

[h3]Episode 4 [/h3]
Episode 4 is fully outlined and partly written. We know a lot of you are wishing for longer, meatier episodes. So with Episode 4 we'll be developing the episode in two halves, each of which is aimed to be roughly the size of Episode 3, so Episode 4 will hopefully be about twice the length of Episode 3.
Once we have both halves completed, we'll be releasing them as one meaty Episode on Steam.

You can expect the full Episode 4 later this year.

[h3]Other Changes[/h3]
Episode 3 Steam Achievements have now been added, for all of you completionists out there!

Episode 3 will be getting minor changes and adjustments when the Episode 2 revamp is out to ensure everything lines up.

Lastly, we've been doing a major code clean up for both CK1 and CK2 with the hopes that it should drastically reduce saves issues, especially for save transfers, which will be released soon.

Unfortunately weve had multiple unexpected circumstances that delayed the development of CK2 Episode 3 during the last month. Ranging from team members needing to go to the emergency room, our rendering program making certain renders and animations unusable and our art directors home being flooded with dirt after a sewage pipe burst.

Despite these, weve been working as hard as we can to get Episode 3 out as quickly as possible and we dont want to release an unfinished product. Thats why weve decided to delay both Patreon and Steam release dates by one week respectively.

Here's an update on what we've been working:

The 2.2 Major Update that's coming for free to all owners of CK2 Episode 2 "The Pool Party" is coming mid December, the exact date is tbd.

[h2]On the free 2.2 update[/h2]

The update adds 16 new scenes, 8 of which are sex scenes. Note that some of these scenes are transitional and one of the sex scenes does not include penetration, but all the others do.

Information on which girls these scenes are with can be found at the bottom of this post. So if you don't want to know, you'll want to stop reading before the spoiler warning below.

Unlike Episode 2, most of these scenes have been written by me (Undergrad Steve). Some of the scenes were written by the writers of Episode 2 and fully edited by me.

These scenes are first and foremost a reconciliation gift to all of the fans that we've disappointed with this release, I'm really sorry we didn't do better.

As you can hopefully see from this message, my goal is to be very clear on what you can expect from this update and future episodes.

[h2]On Episode 3[/h2]

With the goal of brining back the magic of OG CK, CK2 Episode 3 has been fully plotted by me and will be solely written me (Undergrad Steve). I can't promise that it'll be better or more to your taste, but I can promise that it'll be closer to CK1 than any other Episodes of CK2 have been. Hopefully with improvements from everything that I've learned.

I expect Episode 3 to be roughly the same length as, or possibly slightly longer than Episode 2.

It'll contain 15 sex scenes, though it very much depends on what you define as sex scenes, not all of them will have penetration, some might not even have animations (for example an underwater handjob).
If you're interested I have laid out who those sex scenes are with below under the spoiler tag.

We'll most like price Episode 3 lower than Episode 2, possibly around $7.99USD, as that's what most of you voted as fair a fair in the survey on Episode 2 and the length will be roughly the same. However this price is by no means locked in. We need to find a balance between value for money and being able to fund the development of future CK episode.

We do not have an exact release month for Episode 3 planned, but it'll be sometime early 2023.

I hope that you try the 2.2 update when it's out and I hope that we can win your trust back with Episode 3.

Hey everyone,

This is Steve, giving you an update on what's happened since the video I made.

First of all, thank you for all of the incredibly kind messages. It's been really heartwarming to feel such support after explaining how many mistakes I personally made.

Currently about 10 scenes, including 6 sex scenes are being written (most of which already done) and are going into production soon to be released as a free update to the pool party, hopefully to be released the end of November.

Unlike with episode 1, we have decided against making many changes to the episode itself, as most issues are fundamental and not easily fixed with a few line edits. Instead we'll focus on just adding new scenes which are mostly written and edited by me personally, to hopefully make you guys feel better about your purchase.

This brings us to a bigger change that happened, both of our writers have decided to leave as they felt that their ideas, vision and writing style for CK did not match what fans wanted and CK needed. I wish them all the best for the future as I know they did everything they could to make episode 2 great, but they were just the wrong people for the job.

This means that there's only one person left to write Episode 3, and that's me. In all honesty I hadn't written a scene from scratch since CK1, but I'm getting back into it with the episode 2 free update scenes and I'm actually really enjoying it.

Even though it's a big challenge, I'm excited to plot and write Episode 3 from scratch by myself with the help of two talented editors.

Thinking about what to do with Episode 3, I've noticed that there's some gaps in my knowledge of what you guys actually want. For example, what previous choices do you feel haven't had any ramifications in ep2? What haven't we addressed?

The Pool Party aims to improve upon Episode 1 with more realistic and lifelike character personalities; a more entertaining, engaging, and hilarious gameplay story; more authentic romance and love; wilder and steamier sex scenes; countless player choices with loads of replayability; gorgeous graphics and cinematic artwork; and more beautiful, high-definition animations.



The Pool Party will be shorter in duration than Episode 1 as we've spent about 2 months improving upon Episode 1 post-release as well as completely overhauling our development process. Whilst Episode 2 may be smaller, it will be of much higher quality, particularly from a writing and plot perspective, with more exciting and meaningful scenes.

Going forward, we intend to release a new College Kings 2 Episode every 2-3 months and weve already outlined the entire rest of the season. We will confirm an exact release date for The Pool Party soon.

College Kings 2 Episode 1 Major Update Coming on June 23rd

Its been 2 months since the initial release of College Kings 2 Episode 1. After listening to all your feedback and putting in a lot of work, we are proud to announce the upcoming launch of our major update to Episode 1 on June 23rd!

We have refined the game from start to finish, added new scenes, new choices, and even a brand-new ending. All of this content will be free to existing owners of College Kings 2 Episode 1.

Weve packaged a ton of goodies into the new build, including more opportunities to spend one-on-one time with your favorite characters and improved save transfers from CK1! We highly recommend you replay the episode once the update is out.

The vast majority of these improvements are inspired by your feedback and discussions in the community, so please continue to share your thoughts with us. We are excited about the major upcoming update coming next week and hope you enjoy it!

Its been over a month since the release of College Kings 2 Act I and weve been able to collect tons of valuable feedback from all of you! As a first commitment to improving the gameplay experience of the Act, we released the CK1 save transfer patch.

Weve seen your positive response to this first step and were excited to bring a major free update to College Kings 2 Act I in June! Weve refined the entire game from start to finish and added new scenes, new choices and a brand new ending!

With deeper relationships, more cohesive storylines and a satisfying conclusion, we hope to show that we listen to your feedback and theres nothing more important to us than making sure you love the game.

Initially this update was scheduled for late May, but due to the sheer volume of new content, weve decided to reschedule it for June so we can really make the game worth replaying.

With this update, well rename College Kings 2 Act I to College Kings 2 Episode 1. All future releases will be known as Episodes. This will hopefully simplify some of the confusion internally and externally, as well as allow us to improve the story structure in our releases.

The number one feature you requested for College Kings 2 Act I was the ability to transfer your save games from CK1 right into CK2. It's finally here.

With 3.0.6 you can go into the game and load your CK1 saves straight from the start or the load screen. Simply click the big "Load CK1 Save" button. Now, all your choices from CK1 will automatically carry over into CK2. This feature is still in alpha, but will be improved upon with future patches.

We've also addressed bugs and crashes that some users were experiencing to make the game run smoother, but that's not where it stops. 3.0.6 is just the first part of our continuous CK2 Act I improvement plan.

Over the last 2 weeks, we've listened to, compiled, analyzed and evaluated thousands of pieces of your feedback. We've identified opportunities to improve the act, from tightening the cohesion of CK2 as a whole to redeveloping inconsequential relationships. We're even adding a brand new ending in addition to implementing many of your other suggestions.

We are tackling all of these improvements for an overall better gameplay experience over the next month. We've halted all work on Act II until then. We want to give you guys the outstanding act that you expected, nothing less.

We plan on releasing the College Kings 2 Act I 3.1 Update on May 24th. It will add extra scenes, a new ending and tons of writing and story enhancements. We're excited for our dedicated fans to replay the Act once 3.1 is released, we want to hear if we're on the right track so we can keep improving player experience. The update will of course be free to all existing owners of CK2 Act I.

I'm Undergrad Steve, creator of the game.

I live and breathe College Kings and seeing CK2 get mixed reviews is devastating to both me and the team. The reviews are full of valid criticism, you guys are right, we messed up.

The biggest criticism is the lack of save transfers. This is a feature that we know is possible, but it's quite difficult to achieve and we didn't anticipate it being so highly requested, big misjudgment on my part.

We are prioritizing getting save transfers to work and will patch it as soon as possible, however it may take a few weeks.

Besides that there are bugs in the game and the feeling that some paths where more set in stone. This may have been caused by the pathbuilder start or some weird interactions with reputation, that were unintended. I believe CK2 actually has much more complex relationships, but we do not display those properly so it may feel a lot more simplistic, which is again, a mistake on our end.

I also understand that some players are upset about CK1 being made free completely, even though they paid for it. We had hoped that this would allow easier access to CK2 and give the franchise longevity, it may have done the opposite.

College Kings 2 was an ambitious new beginning, but we missed the mark. Mistakes were made and my own judgement lead us wrong multiple times. But whatever happens, we will fight to make the game better.

So we're sorting through all of your feedback, all the reviews and we will start improving CK2 Act I bit by bit. Enabling save transfers, fixing bugs, making the storylines more complex, closing plot holes, etc.

We may make mistakes, but please believe that there's nothing we care more about than the playerbase enjoying the game. So we will improve the game until that's the case for the vast majority of people.
