This Summer, Episode 6 Summer Showdown is coming to blow all expectations in a grand finale for the ages with everything an ending needs, wild partying in Mexico, sexy cosplay babes, and the fighting tournament that lives in the heart of every true SVC student as the pinnacle of the college experience! Next month, once weve gotten further with development we should be able to pin down an exact release date, so keep an eye out for that update!
To kick things off, the gang decides to blow off some Steam down in sunny Mexico. Shenanigans await in ancient Aztec Temples, and the local girls are looking good in Mexicos tequila-fuelled party-scene. Moving over to the production side of things, were currently about 60% through the rendering process, and writing is almost entirely complete. The team is working hard and making solid progress and so right now Summer is our target, with an exact date to come next month. image Weve been talking to the community and listening to feedback which weve been implementing into the finale. Achievements. Everyone loves them. The pride and joy of any Steam profile. However, we've been made aware of several achievement issues that have been spoiling your College experience. While we're hard at work on Episode 6 and other College Kings updates, we want to let you all know we are aware and are applying some fixes to the most pressing issues: Achievements in General: We love nudity. We love nude achievements a little less. EP4-5's missing achievement images will be added back in over the weekend. Episode 1: Taskmaster: An old classic. Unfortunately, several updates to the game have made this achievement impossible to get. As a short-term fix, we'll be simplifying the achievement, so it'll look like this: Clear half of Imre's checklist (Episode 1). We'll restore the achievement to its original version once we've fixed these issues. Episode 2: Shots For Everyone: A slight coding issue made what was meant to be a simple achievement significantly harder to obtain. We've fixed the issue and updated the text: Serve shots to everyone (including yourself) at the Pool Party (Episode 2). Girlfriend Collector: Some misleading text and incredibly strict requirements meant that this achievement was nearly impossible to obtain. We're relaxing the requirements and clarifying the text to this: Make Lauren and Penelope your girlfriend in the same day (Episode 2). Episode 5: Great to Hydrate: Turns out, MC doesn't know how to count properly. You can now obtain this achievement. Future Updates: With all of the achievements you can earn, it has occurred to us that Steam doesn't really specify which episode an achievement belongs to. We're going to be cleaning up the achievement text to clarify the episode where you can unlock them. We'll also be clarifying some of the more vague descriptions, and seeing if there's any other achievements that can be simplified. As always, thank you for playing College Kings!

Right now it's looking like we'll be releasing the episode on Steam in the late Spring or early Summer of 2025, development is a very fluid thing so we can't be more specific than that just yet, but as soon as we're able to be more precise we'll make sure to inform you all accordingly! Its been two weeks since the release of Episodes 4 & 5 Moving Out and we wanted to take some time to review the launch and be transparent about what happened, our actions so far, and our plans going forward. We understand this wasnt our smoothest release and many of you experienced bugs and other issues after downloading the double episode, including game crashes and laggy sex scenes. (Both have now been fixed.) The reality is that I (Steve) faced some personal health issues during production and we have been playing catchup ever since. We wanted to avoid delaying the announced release dates any further so as not to keep you guys waiting, but unfortunately that led to us not catching important bugs that should have been fixed before the release. As we gear up to release the new and improved "The Pool Party" reworked episode next week on September 26th at 3pm EDT/12pm PDT/8pm BST, we wanted to share some of the big changes we've made to the episode. Firstly, "The Pool Party" now truly lives up to its name. We've meticulously crafted the build-up for the party throughout the episode. From party prep to conversations with the other characters, we ensure that the anticipation is palpable and feels natural. Player feedback on the episode has been at the foundation of this rework from the beginning. The tone of this episode is now in line with the rest of the series, and speaking of consistency, the personalities of our characters in this episode were a big focus for us and we worked hard to ensure that the characters felt true to themselves and that they act accordingly throughout the events of the episode. Something were very excited for players to check out is the increased control weve given to the players over MC's personality. Your choices now carry a lot more weight in the story, shaping the events of the episode in more impactful ways. As a new member of the recently revived Social Planning Committee, your decisions will directly impact both the success of the party, as well as the relationships youve built from Episode 1. One of the biggest criticisms we saw was that there were just not enough sex and romance scenes in Episode 2. So from this major update, you can expect: 22 new scenes including 8 sex scenes Many small changes to existing scenes to better capture the characters Bug fixes For better replayability, the new scenes are integrated into the episode, not just added at the very end. We hope that this update makes the episode significantly more enjoyable and exciting to play and we'd love to hear your feedback after you've tried it. Hey everyone, This is Steve, giving you an update on what's happened since the video I made. First of all, thank you for all of the incredibly kind messages. It's been really heartwarming to feel such support after explaining how many mistakes I personally made. Currently about 10 scenes, including 6 sex scenes are being written (most of which already done) and are going into production soon to be released as a free update to the pool party, hopefully to be released the end of November. Unlike with episode 1, we have decided against making many changes to the episode itself, as most issues are fundamental and not easily fixed with a few line edits. Instead we'll focus on just adding new scenes which are mostly written and edited by me personally, to hopefully make you guys feel better about your purchase. This brings us to a bigger change that happened, both of our writers have decided to leave as they felt that their ideas, vision and writing style for CK did not match what fans wanted and CK needed. I wish them all the best for the future as I know they did everything they could to make episode 2 great, but they were just the wrong people for the job. This means that there's only one person left to write Episode 3, and that's me. In all honesty I hadn't written a scene from scratch since CK1, but I'm getting back into it with the episode 2 free update scenes and I'm actually really enjoying it. Even though it's a big challenge, I'm excited to plot and write Episode 3 from scratch by myself with the help of two talented editors. Thinking about what to do with Episode 3, I've noticed that there's some gaps in my knowledge of what you guys actually want. For example, what previous choices do you feel haven't had any ramifications in ep2? What haven't we addressed? I've created a 5 minute survey below. Its been over a month since the release of College Kings 2 Act I and weve been able to collect tons of valuable feedback from all of you! As a first commitment to improving the gameplay experience of the Act, we released the CK1 save transfer patch. Weve seen your positive response to this first step and were excited to bring a major free update to College Kings 2 Act I in June! Weve refined the entire game from start to finish and added new scenes, new choices and a brand new ending! With deeper relationships, more cohesive storylines and a satisfying conclusion, we hope to show that we listen to your feedback and theres nothing more important to us than making sure you love the game. Initially this update was scheduled for late May, but due to the sheer volume of new content, weve decided to reschedule it for June so we can really make the game worth replaying. With this update, well rename College Kings 2 Act I to College Kings 2 Episode 1. All future releases will be known as Episodes. This will hopefully simplify some of the confusion internally and externally, as well as allow us to improve the story structure in our releases. The number one feature you requested for College Kings 2 Act I was the ability to transfer your save games from CK1 right into CK2. It's finally here. With 3.0.6 you can go into the game and load your CK1 saves straight from the start or the load screen. Simply click the big "Load CK1 Save" button. Now, all your choices from CK1 will automatically carry over into CK2. This feature is still in alpha, but will be improved upon with future patches. We've also addressed bugs and crashes that some users were experiencing to make the game run smoother, but that's not where it stops. 3.0.6 is just the first part of our continuous CK2 Act I improvement plan. Over the last 2 weeks, we've listened to, compiled, analyzed and evaluated thousands of pieces of your feedback. We've identified opportunities to improve the act, from tightening the cohesion of CK2 as a whole to redeveloping inconsequential relationships. We're even adding a brand new ending in addition to implementing many of your other suggestions. We are tackling all of these improvements for an overall better gameplay experience over the next month. We've halted all work on Act II until then. We want to give you guys the outstanding act that you expected, nothing less. We plan on releasing the College Kings 2 Act I 3.1 Update on May 24th. It will add extra scenes, a new ending and tons of writing and story enhancements. We're excited for our dedicated fans to replay the Act once 3.1 is released, we want to hear if we're on the right track so we can keep improving player experience. The update will of course be free to all existing owners of CK2 Act I. Thank you for all your patience. Hey everyone, I'm Undergrad Steve, creator of the game. I live and breathe College Kings and seeing CK2 get mixed reviews is devastating to both me and the team. The reviews are full of valid criticism, you guys are right, we messed up. The biggest criticism is the lack of save transfers. This is a feature that we know is possible, but it's quite difficult to achieve and we didn't anticipate it being so highly requested, big misjudgment on my part. We are prioritizing getting save transfers to work and will patch it as soon as possible, however it may take a few weeks. Besides that there are bugs in the game and the feeling that some paths where more set in stone. This may have been caused by the pathbuilder start or some weird interactions with reputation, that were unintended. I believe CK2 actually has much more complex relationships, but we do not display those properly so it may feel a lot more simplistic, which is again, a mistake on our end. I also understand that some players are upset about CK1 being made free completely, even though they paid for it. We had hoped that this would allow easier access to CK2 and give the franchise longevity, it may have done the opposite. College Kings 2 was an ambitious new beginning, but we missed the mark. Mistakes were made and my own judgement lead us wrong multiple times. But whatever happens, we will fight to make the game better. So we're sorting through all of your feedback, all the reviews and we will start improving CK2 Act I bit by bit. Enabling save transfers, fixing bugs, making the storylines more complex, closing plot holes, etc. We may make mistakes, but please believe that there's nothing we care more about than the playerbase enjoying the game. So we will improve the game until that's the case for the vast majority of people.
