Lovely people, I am proud to announce my new game: Stuff to do. A minimalist and experimental escape-room with touches of psychological horror. A total drift from my previous games, however you will still find intriguing puzzles and mystery as well as some interesting gameplay mechanics. The demo will be available during the Steam Next Fest in the link bellow: Stuff to do Use your head, your hands. And remember to check your pulse.
Your lovely Majesties, Now you can enjoy the game in Ultrawide monitors. Long live Lex! More news coming soon.
Your Majesties, may the 4th... First anniversary! I have to say that I love this game. The goal was clear from the beginning: to apply everything I learnt in the first one and translate it here. It has been accomplished. On the other hand, despite having participated in a Steam Next Fest, having a better promotion (From Lex to Rex didn't have any), the wishlist and the congratulation messages, the game hasn't had the expected buzz, although, ironically, it has made more players go to the first one. In the end Lex has ended up being an extension of myself (if he wasn't already in the first one): someone who has to do everything and persists despite the odds with humour, pretty much my summary as an indie developer. Both games will be on sale during these days. Take the opportunity to grab them or recommend them if you consider it (and leaving a review too, this helps a lot). Keep playing. Lex loves you.
Your Majesties, From Lex to Rex is now available in French! I will probably add some more languages (sugestions?), however it takes a ton of time so be patient. The next goal is to finish the french translation of Press Lex to Metaverx. This patch also includes some minor fixings like a typo here and there and a trim in the code so the game can work even better. Enjoy.
Your Majesties, From Lex to Rex is about to be two years old in no time. It has been as crazy as Lexs adventures. I can say I am quite proud with the game, especially after the polishing and improving. In the end, as I said before, this has been a learning experience. Thanks to you the game is still working and didnt get lost down there in Steams deepness. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. Now, once again I ask you (because asking is free and sometimes works) to consider leaving a review for the game (or, while youre at it, for both of them). This one is undoubtely the hardest quest of them all, even though I receive congratulations messages. This way you will help me shake Steams algorithm to make the game more visible. It really helps. It is so hard to get a review that something related will be included in the next game... Because, yes, Lex still has one adventure left. Keep playing.
Majesties, I hope this Royal message finds you full of energy. For the second time the game has been nominated to te Steam Awards, this time, as you can see, in the Labor of love category. Holy starters, how can that be possible? Well, this year the game received a major update (Royal patch) that included:
- Polished animations.
- A complete change of sound effects and the addition of profesional music.
- An autosave system.
- A new secret zone with four exclusive achievements.
Your Majesties, The pace of the cinematics has been improved, this means theres more time to appreciate the actions and the dialogues (there were some scenes that felt a little rushed). A small blink in an animation has been fixed. Some dialogue lines have been gathered in one complete sentence. Keep playing and, once again, be kind and review.
Majesties, Summer sale starts tomorrow, the best momento for you to get any of the games, even both of them with an additional discount. Madness! I also encourage you to leave a review. Its a small gesture that means a lot to us, indie developers. Thank you. Enjoy. Rocknroll.
Majesties, First of all, greetings to the (many) new players who have decide to join Lex in his quest. As you may have already seen (or will see soon) he will need your help, so hes certainly grateful.
- This patch includes minor fixes that didnt affect the playability: some pacing between actions (some felt a little rushed); the music from the first stage kept playing for a while during the second one, thats now fixed; a sudden camera blink and the main character position after using an inventory object on an NPC (he moved to one place and then headed to the right one). Fixed.
- If you see minor patches from now on that means Im polishing little things like the pacing.
- If you enjoyed this adventure, please check the awesome new one Press Lex to Metaverx
- There are some interesting news coming.
- Should you like to share your love, leaving a review could be the ultimate gesture!
Majesties, Press Lex to Metaverx arrives today. Im so proud of it and everything Ive learnt. It is a bigger step from the first one in all aspects with an awesome story linked to the gameplay. Ive spent hours and hours of dedication (I truly dont want to know how many to avoid a heart attack), sometimes almost going crazy, but here is the result. Being a one-man project it is easy that Ive missed some typos or bugs, so please, majesties, just let me know and Ill fix them before you can say blueberry pie. I hope you play it, enjoy it and support me. Thank you so very much.
Your Majesties, Press Lex to Metaverx arrives on the fourth of may. A moving story awaits you. See you soon.
Today is From Lex to Rexs first anniversary. It started as a feat (it really was) turned into reality. I have probably said this before, but in the end it has been a learning experience. I can assure you Ive spent many nights thinking about how solving unexpected bugs or investing more hours than any other person would just to improve the game. There were oppossed emotions, highs and lows and even once I dreamt about a character that didnt allow me to keep developing the game (can you guess which one?). Now all this is part of the experience of developing an indie game. A year later Im finishing the (unexpected) sequel Press Lex to Metaverx of which I attach a new image. There will news soon. Meanwhile, keep playing, unlock those achievements, spread the word about the game and if you want to do extra mile leave a review. Every little gesture helps. Thanks for being there. Press Lex to Metaverx
Your Majesties, Somewhere in the castle, hidden and awating to be found, theres a secret area where Creepshow and Boris Vian meet to deliver a crazy puzle that will take you around twenty minutes to beat (all achievements included). However, it wont be easy to find. Look around, examine and think. Thanks for playing, keep doing it, enjoy and be kind, review.
Your majesties, In order to make the best game possible, this Royal patch is a huge one.
- Fixed the repetition of the first frame at the end of some (or many) animations.
- Autosave system / Resume button on the main menu.
- New music and sounds: 90% of the sounds have been changed for better ones. There are more ambient and objects sounds and new music (even where there wasnt any). I must say the lack of music was made on purpose (think of the first Monkey Island) but now Ive made a more "inmersive" game.
- The second part of the rooftop stage has been completely reworked (thanks for the crash Unity and AC). The puzzles remain the same but the dialogues have been changed for funnier ones (overall the main message is the same). New animations have been added.
- In case of death (of the character, of course) the scene starts on a previous point and not at the beginning. Keep in mind that this case is in some stages, however the next update will have it in all of the ones you can die).
- Many more things for you to enjoy. The game keeps its difficulty.
Your Majesties, I would like to wish all those who have played From Lex to Rex a happy New Year. 2022 has been an important one, highlighted by the release of my first game, something that, not so far ago, wasnt even in my list of intentions. It has probably been the most difficult creative task Ive ever done and it has provided me with tons of knowledge and insight about this world I enjoy so much: the videogames one. Thanks for giving it a chance. Now its turn to keep focused on the next project, something bigger in all aspects. Happy New Year.
Your majesties,
- The new patch includes better sounds and music (main hall and feast stages).
- Changed some dialogue lines (for better ones).
- That "hidden" object almost everybody complains about at the tailors has now a short animation to make it more visible. Dont expect neon lights, but is there.
Hi lovely Majesties, Im proud of the story and plot I achieved in From Lex to Rex, and it seems many of you liked it too! While the game has been an intense grinding for me, full of ups and downs, I can say that, as a writer myself, Ive discovered a new and exciting way to tell stories. My main focus was giving you, not only the best story, but the best old school point and click game possible, and Im still commited to it. During this hard task it's always great to see the support I get from you and how much you have enjoyed the idea and story of the game, thats why I would be humbled if you would nominate From Lex to Rex on the category Outstanding Story-Rich Game. I cant wait to hear from you and share with you exciting news! As always, thank you.
Greetins Your Majesties,
- Willing to make From Lex to Rex a more complete and better game, Im adding better sounds and music in order to improve it. Its a slow revision process, so expect continuous minor patches.
- I would like to make a call for reviews. . Developing a solo indie game its an ardous task full of learning. Support means everything, thats why if you consider the game gave you a moment of joy and fun or even helped you forget about daily problems, please consider leaving a simple review.
- As you may know, From Lex to Rex is about food. Like the protagonist here many people cant access basic food, thats why, as gratitude, next week Ill make a donation to the charital food gathering held in my hometown.

Your majesties, Happy Easter! Do you know whats very common during this time (besides processions here in Spain). Easter eggs! Turns out From Lex to Rex is stuffed with them, in particular as references to pop culture (from movies, paintings, other videogames, to sentences from books or lyrics). Hows the hunting going? You might get an achievement if you look closely... As I said the last time, Ive been polishing the game to solve translation stuff and that annoying thing with the cursor during the second stage. Looks like some reviews are on the way too. Play the game, enjoy the story and then go for those achievements!
Dear players, Thanks to your comments I have spent the past few days fixing and updating the content of the game, especially aiming for a better translation. Im still working on it, thats why you will see some minor patches on a regular basis. Soon there will be a brief guide with tips to unlock those sneaky achievements you might have missed during gameplay. Thanks a lot for playing and for your patience.

From Lex to Rex - Linux [211.16 M]
about
From Lex to Rex is a point-and-click adventure game inspired by classics of this genre such as Monkey Island, Indiana Jones, Hollywood Monsters and all the others you already know. It is about a plebeian who, tired of being hungry, decides to usurp the Rex! It is about the power of appearances using food as a common thread and strives to be funny and intelligent.
It's a quest where each room presents itself as a challenge.
lex Is Tired Of Being Hungry!
Your journey will take you through pixelated scenarios inhabited by peculiar characters from the medieval royalty. Forget the main plan and go straight to the plan B. Become a friend of a pig, start from below and make your way to the top, let a princess get angry, deceive a chef, use objects from the enviroment and from your inventory. Whatever it takes to become Rex! But were you the first to come up with that plan?
features
a Cute Protagonist.
pixel Art Work!
developed By One Person!
food!
Simple Mechanics and Not So Easy Puzzles.
4th Wall Breaking!
Replayability! (Are you going to leave all those poor achievements unachieved?)Laughs, logical nonsense, pop culture references and hopefully a feast!
