Ready for your new job ?
You've been hired at the Diamond Straits Resort and Spa as protection officer. Unfortunately, the company has been going through a rough patch with various guests, millionaires, and celebrities vanishing from the resort. Your goal is to provide security to both yourself and our clients.
What to expect on your night shift:
Due to advancements in DNA splicing, we have been able to produce animal-human hybrids. Unfortunately, they have a habit of exhibiting strange behavior at night. Their typical actions involve damage both to the property and our associates, so security is essential. During your shift you will be operating the doors on either side of you to prevent these creatures from getting access to your office. You will be provided with a company approved squeaky toy on your desk to assist in decreasing your stress levels. Breaking down on the job is game over.
During your time here, you may be stationed at one of our four properties. For example you may be asked to control access to our Casino, Bar, Warehouse, or Administration office. Each of these locations have different mechanics that you will need to quickly adapt to. Acclimation is the key to success!
Don't worry about the vents.

Monitoring
We have installed an array of security cameras that you may use for keeping track of the creatures roaming around the facility.
Maintenance
Occasionally you may be required to fix various machines in the facility, just think of it as a minigame. Luckily for you, you can do this from the comfort of your camera station. You might even spot secrets through your monitor, like one of those point and click games!
The results of failure:
If you happen to allow one of the experiments into your room, or if you don’t maintain the machines in the facility, you'll need to be ready for the worst. Negligence in your work can result in a monstrous attack, which certainly will be game over for you.

\nWe know youve been waiting for more info, and another peek into what weve been cooking, so gather around the pot and lets lift the lid together.
The Arcade is well on its way, and while theres still a long way to go, we can at least give you a little more detailed information now that were getting more comfortable with what were working with.
\nThe Arcade at its core is going to be more similar to Security Office than Nightclub in its design, with a return to gameplay focusing more on surviving the night than maximizing scores. But, a big change that separates it from the traditional Security Office is the variety of girls and the mechanics that they bring. Were not going to spoil anything in this log, because when we asked your opinions on the matter you all seemed to prefer staying in the dark as much as possible, and we respect that.\n
Just know that each girl will have their own quirks to manage, and your old favorites will be appearing in ways youve never seen them before.

Currently were looking at most of the map being fully modeled, and getting the rest of the characters animated the way we want them so we can start our second round of character testing and arranging the characters into nights for further testing. The balancing act we find ourselves in is trying to get the right mix of gameplay variety and excitement while also considering narrative intrigue and general difficulty. Were still quite a ways off from having this in the place we want it to be, but were optimistic about the spot were in regardless.\n

This does mean that well still be asking for your patience a while longer, though, because we pride ourselves on our transparency, and when the game mode is going to be focused around outdoing both the previous modes and providing the replayability that makes IN HEAT: Lustful Nights a game worth coming back to when the story is over, we need to take our time to make sure what we have is special.\n

All that said, though, we know that youre all eager for something new, so with that in mind were happy to announce that our talented collaborating artists have been working on something to help tide you all over, and theyre finally ready.\n

Introducing IN HEATs very own Steam trading cards and profile backgrounds! Theyve been in the works for a while now, and were very happy with how they turned out. The cards were done by our resident artist Matt (be sure to show him some love in the Discord!), and the backgrounds were a collaborative effort between a number of artists that have contributed to IN HEAT in numerous ways, and were proud to have their work forever linked to the game itself. We wont spoil the surprise too much, but be sure to check out the description of the backgrounds and cards to see who did what, and be sure to check their socials for more great content!\n
That about wraps up all that can be said for this month, but well be continuing to chip away at the workload required to get the Arcade out to you all as soon as possible.\n
