The Jackbox Party Starter - Now Localized for Brazilian Portuguese!

Your copy of The Jackbox Party Starter just got a bit more cultured. Weve just launched a free update to all three games to include a Brazilian Portuguese language option. The Jackbox Party Pack 10 was our first foray into localizing content for the Brazilian market, and today were so excited to launch three more of our most popular titles in Portuguese! Why did we do this? We want to make our games as accessible as possible to fans from all over the world. Our Brazilian fans have asked for more games available in Portuguese, and we are gladly obliging. Earlier this year we also launched social media profiles in Portuguese to better accommodate Brazilian audiences.
Will we update more of our back catalog to be available in other languages? Not at this moment. Creating these language patches is more than just running scripts through Google Translate and copying and pasting the results. Its much, much more than that. We take all of the in-game content and hire localization experts in the region to emulate the irreverent tone that makes Jackbox so special. Then we hire local voice actors and adapt the game art, theme songs, and every other in-game detail to give fans a seamless experience in other languages. We also add in completely new content thats geared for the region. For example, youd likely see questions about Brazilian football teams rather than American football teams. All of this takes time to do, but we are always working to make our games available to fans around the world.
There are fifteen games available in French, Italian, German, Castilian Spanish and Latin American Spanish. Titles in bold are also available in Portuguese:

How to Play The Jackbox Party Starter Remotely

Are you looking for ways to connect with a friend in a different city? Are you tired of only talking to your pet all day? Want to replace that weekly call home with The Jackbox Party Starter? Congrats! Youve found the perfect blog post. Jackbox Games are local multiplayer games, but with a few extra steps, its easy to get a game started with others in remote locations. If youre unfamiliar with our games, our general How To Play page is a great place to learn how to start a room and connect players to a game. After youve checked that out, hop on back to this page! Playing with Friends and Family If you feel confident about your internet connections, just jump onto a videoconferencing service (like Zoom, Discord, or Google Meet). Start a game on your laptop and use the screen-sharing option so that your players can see the game. Everyone can play along on their own mobile devices by using a browser and going to Jackbox.tv. If youre having difficulty getting back to your video conferencing screen from the games full-screen mode, go to the settings in the main lobby and turn off Full Screen Mode. If youre a Steam fan, you can skip the videoconferencing step and use Steam Remote Play Together. This feature allows you to share your local co-op games online with friends. Using Remote Play Together, only one person needs to own a copy of a Jackbox Games title. Up to four players (or more with faster internet connections) can join. Discord screen sharing can also be a great option if youre playing on a laptop. You and up to nine of your Discord friends can connect and have both the game and video-enabled. Youll want to see your friends faces when theyre laughing at your responses in Tee K.O. 2. Some consoles also have screen share or co-stream abilities as long as youre playing with someone who also owns that platform. Instead of streaming, many people have set up an additional webcam in front of their TV as an easier option. You can stream using many different platforms, but we generally recommend using a PC to stream over a video conferencing service such as Zoom or Discord. Introducing QR code login!

Gone are the days of having to manually type in your room code. We're happy to introduce QR code login, a brand new feature for our games to The Jackbox Party Starter! We've also patched in other bug fixes and performance issues, such as the minigame error in Trivia Murder Party 2 where you can cut a finger you've already cut in a previous punishment. Not a sentence that we ever expected to include in patch notes, but there you have it. The Jackbox Party Starter is coming soon to help get your party started! We’ve gathered three of our most beloved games into one handy pack! With so many titles to choose from, we decided to help take out some of the guesswork and hand you three games that are sure to give you hours of entertainment!

We’ve updated Quiplash 3, Trivia Murder Party 2 and Tee K.O. with all of our most recent settings and improvements such as moderation, subtitles, content filtration, and settings menu upgrades. Additionally, we’ve fully localized the voice acting, subtitles and even credit songs in French, Italian, German and Spanish!

No extra controllers needed; players use their phones or tablets to play along! Got a bigger group? Play with up to 8 players and up to 10,000 audience members.

Quiplash 3

Players enter a head-to-head battle of wits by answering a comedic prompt and letting the other players (and the audience) decide which they like best!

Is that it? Uh, no.

Quiplash 3 now has a Moderation feature that allows responses to be seen prior to being displayed on screen. Additionally, a new filtering option allows profanity and hateful speech to be blocked before even reaching moderation.

So that’s it, right?

Thank you for asking, but no! Quiplash 3 has a new final round called Thriplash, where the prompts ask players to enter three responses. That’s three times the chances to be funny!

Originally part of The Jackbox Party Pack 7, Quiplash 3 in The Party Starter has been fully revamped with new features and localizations in French, Italian, German and Spanish!

Tee K.O.

In Tee K.O., players are on the clock to create drawings and write as many slogans as possible. The pictures and slogans are then given out at random. Whoever combines their drawings and slogans to create the best t-shirt wins, as designs are pitted against each other in head-to-head battles. The t-shirts with the highest votes in each round must survive the final gauntlet to become the best. Tee… K.O. Get it?

Perhaps the most beloved part of Tee K.O. is the fact that you can make your stupid great creations a reality and purchase actual versions of your t-shirts. Just click the gallery button at the end of the game or view your past galleries at Jackbox.tv.

Trivia Murder Party 2

Still on the run from the police after the events of the first Trivia Murder Party, the serial killer host has moved into the Murder Hotel where he grew up. In the past his family killed unsuspecting guests at their hotel, but now the host is using the hotel to run his bizarre game show… where he kills unsuspecting guests.

Like the first Trivia Murder Party, players answer trivia questions–and answering incorrectly will send you to the Killing Floor to play mini-games that can kill. New mini-games include avoiding swords jabbed into a magician’s box, tattooing the killer’s back, and most terrifying of all… using a rotary phone!

Trivia Murder Party 2 is packed full of new surprises. Can you finish the game with a bomb strapped to your body? What would you do if you could haunt one of the other players? Would it be weird if the killer thought you were his mother?
