The Jackbox Party Starter - Now Localized for Brazilian Portuguese!

Your copy of The Jackbox Party Starter just got a bit more cultured. Weve just launched a free update to all three games to include a Brazilian Portuguese language option. The Jackbox Party Pack 10 was our first foray into localizing content for the Brazilian market, and today were so excited to launch three more of our most popular titles in Portuguese! Why did we do this? We want to make our games as accessible as possible to fans from all over the world. Our Brazilian fans have asked for more games available in Portuguese, and we are gladly obliging. Earlier this year we also launched social media profiles in Portuguese to better accommodate Brazilian audiences.
Will we update more of our back catalog to be available in other languages? Not at this moment. Creating these language patches is more than just running scripts through Google Translate and copying and pasting the results. Its much, much more than that. We take all of the in-game content and hire localization experts in the region to emulate the irreverent tone that makes Jackbox so special. Then we hire local voice actors and adapt the game art, theme songs, and every other in-game detail to give fans a seamless experience in other languages. We also add in completely new content thats geared for the region. For example, youd likely see questions about Brazilian football teams rather than American football teams. All of this takes time to do, but we are always working to make our games available to fans around the world.
There are fifteen games available in French, Italian, German, Castilian Spanish and Latin American Spanish. Titles in bold are also available in Portuguese:

How to Play The Jackbox Party Starter Remotely

Are you looking for ways to connect with a friend in a different city? Are you tired of only talking to your pet all day? Want to replace that weekly call home with The Jackbox Party Starter? Congrats! Youve found the perfect blog post. Jackbox Games are local multiplayer games, but with a few extra steps, its easy to get a game started with others in remote locations. If youre unfamiliar with our games, our general How To Play page is a great place to learn how to start a room and connect players to a game. After youve checked that out, hop on back to this page! Playing with Friends and Family If you feel confident about your internet connections, just jump onto a videoconferencing service (like Zoom, Discord, or Google Meet). Start a game on your laptop and use the screen-sharing option so that your players can see the game. Everyone can play along on their own mobile devices by using a browser and going to Jackbox.tv. If youre having difficulty getting back to your video conferencing screen from the games full-screen mode, go to the settings in the main lobby and turn off Full Screen Mode. If youre a Steam fan, you can skip the videoconferencing step and use Steam Remote Play Together. This feature allows you to share your local co-op games online with friends. Using Remote Play Together, only one person needs to own a copy of a Jackbox Games title. Up to four players (or more with faster internet connections) can join. Discord screen sharing can also be a great option if youre playing on a laptop. You and up to nine of your Discord friends can connect and have both the game and video-enabled. Youll want to see your friends faces when theyre laughing at your responses in Tee K.O. 2. Some consoles also have screen share or co-stream abilities as long as youre playing with someone who also owns that platform. Instead of streaming, many people have set up an additional webcam in front of their TV as an easier option. Introducing QR code login!

Gone are the days of having to manually type in your room code. We're happy to introduce QR code login, a brand new feature for our games to The Jackbox Party Starter! We've also patched in other bug fixes and performance issues, such as the minigame error in Trivia Murder Party 2 where you can cut a finger you've already cut in a previous punishment. Not a sentence that we ever expected to include in patch notes, but there you have it.
