The global full-auto mode update introduced some unforeseen side effects that I failed to test for, sorry about that! If you happen to run into a bug, remember that you can report it on the Touhou Crisis Steam Discussions page!

Dang, what a first week! Didn't think there'd be this many bugs that slipped through into release haha. In case you missed the previous patch notes, Reimu's Reimungton was nerfed a little, Marisa's M4G1-C was buffed a bit and that dreadful Discord glitch got fixed. We've been looking through all the feedback we've gotten on the game since its release, whether it's been the Steam discussion forums, store reviews, or videos! You can say that this update changelog is our current response to said feedback!
What's New in Version 1.1.0
Custom Attract Mode Videos!
Did you know that if you left the game idle for a few seconds on the title screen, it'll automatically enter Attract Mode? "Attract Mode" is the name of the state that an Arcade machine will routinely enter to showcase its gameplay by playing demo footage, emitting sounds, and flashing cool words. Touhou Crisis can do this too, so you can really feel like you just stumbled upon a cool game at the arcade, just begging for your credits! The Attract Mode only comes with one attraction footage, but with the recent update, you can now load your own attraction footage!

How to add Custom Attraction Footage

Trigger-Finger Accessibility!
Added an accessibility option that enables full-auto fire mode across all weapons, even in the UI! You can still do semi-auto fire even with this option enabled, though you may accidentally miss some shots if you hold the fire key down thoughtlessly.
Those with an active trigger finger should also note that manual fire is still possible with the option on, and mashing the fire key will still, always be faster. Hopefully, this new addition lessens the strain on everyone's fingers!
Removed Lightgun Flash Effect
Removed the lightgun flash option, I don't think anyone ever liked it. It's always been an option people would rush to turn off and no one would ever bring it up as a positive. Let me know if you actually want it back!
Adjusted appearance of in-game options interface
Did you know, you can press ESC in-game to adjust some choice settings? It looked a bit ugly before, so I adjusted it by removing the panel and now it looks slightly better.
Fixes
- Fixed Marisa being unable to fire if restarting the battle while holding the M4G1-C
- Fixed the buttons in the credit screen not playing the proper sounds when activated
- Spaced out Reimungton shotgun rounds in the Ammo display (sorry again for the nerf, but it had to happen)
- Fixed game timer counting up before the game starts properly after restarting the battle
- Fixed How-To text passage mentioning that you had 9 bullets rather than 8
- Lowered Sakuya's health bar position on-screen to accommodate more aggressive Sinden Lightgun borders

This is all quite exciting, it's my first Steam launch and we've had quite a reception! We've already gotten quite a bit of feedback so I had to really rush this new build-out quickly, hopefully, no more bugs were created haha.
What's New in Version 1.0.1
- Buffed M4G1-C to have 40 (up from 30) rounds every charge and slightly increased fire rate to keep up with the Reimungton
- Reduced Reimungton 890's ammo count (from 8 to 6), I usually don't like to nerf things but it was just too powerful for its own good. Inflating the numbers haphazardly would make it weird for lightgun players who can't pull the trigger as fast as mouse players
- Increased Sakuya's health in her later stages, people weren't getting time-stopped enough!
Bugfixes
- Fixed the game trying to launch Discord on start when Discord was closed (and also just behaving strangely for some people who didn't have Discord installed). Sorry again!

Wow, we're only a week away from release! Before Touhou Crisis comes out, I'd like to introduce some ways to play to help maximize your enjoyment! Despite its modern design approaches, Touhou Crisis is made to play like a certain series of classic arcade lightgun games. So while it can be played with a mouse and keyboard, I did a lot of testing to make sure it's playable with a lightgun and pedal. Below I'll be going over some hardware that I personally recommend picking up to help play Touhou Crisis and other lightgun games on PC. This isn't a very exhaustive list nor will I go into a terrible amount of detail as there are plenty of guides out there that go deep into this stuff. Hopefully, this little post will serve as a good jumping-off point for you to get into lightgun gaming at home!
The Sinden Lightgun
The Sinden Lightgun is probably the device that set off the recent surge in interest for lightgun games. It's largely due to the way it works, which deviates from the usual "infra-red" tech that most modern lightguns make use of. The lightguns of old previously went the way of the dinosaurs since they relied on CRT tech that modern LCD TVs and monitors couldn't make use of, but the Sinden solves that through the use of a camera in the gun barrel literally looking out for where you're pointing on your screen! You can check out a video on it here for more detailed info: [previewyoutube=hfo004_4xwU;full][/previewyoutube] I've got it myself and there's even built-in support for it in Touhou Crisis, so I am absolutely biased on this.
A Wii Remote
If you still got your good ol' Wiimote from ages ago, you can pair it with your computer to play all sorts of games! For the best experience, you'll also want to pick up the Mayflash Dolphinbar to enable proper tracking on the darn thing.
That's not all though, to play Touhou Crisis, you'll have to install software like TouchMote so you can convert your Wiimote button presses into mouse clicks!
Dinky E-Commerce Pedals
If you only plan on getting a pedal for playing specific lightgun games, getting one of these plastic foot pedals off the web isn't a terrible idea. They're not super durable, but they're cheap and will last long enough for you to think about whether or not you like pedal action gameplay in the first place.
Dance Pad as a Pedal
If you're a big dance game guy like me (or you just like doing Dark Souls challenge runs) you can hook up your pad to your computer, get a program like Joy2Key to bind one of the pad's buttons to the pedal key and go at it like that!
Alright, that's it, there are a couple of cool products I haven't brought up like the Gun4IR lightgun and the Elgato Stream Deck Pedal but I'll leave some of the fun of researching to you, see you all next week!

Take on a menacing boss with nothing but your gun, your reflexes, and your other, bigger gun in this short, arcade-style, lightgun game!
Originally developed in 72 hours for the 6th Touhou Fan Game Jam, the game has since been polished into a complete experience!
Story
One leisurely spring day, a large crate landed in a certain shrine courtyard, piquing the curiosity of a shrine maiden and her magician friend lounging nearby. Inside were some guns and a treasure trove of ammunition.Unfamiliar with kinetic warfare, the two girls treated the weapons as toys and played until the sun went down. It was then that a rare guest made a surprise visit to the shrine gates.
"So anyway, I started blastin'", said the shrine maiden, recalling the incident.
Also there are UFOs, but don't think it about it. It's probably another Myouren Temple conspiracy.
- Two Playable Characters: Play as either Reimu with her powerful shotgun, or as Marisa with her full-auto assault rifle!
