You still have one month to live as a Dwaal and to pace the pixelized paths in search of the abundant resources nature offers. Three years have gone by since Kwaan was launched, and it's lost the success it had when the adventure started. There are fewer and fewer players, but the game's evolution relies on multiplayer gaming. As in every natural cycle, the repercussions are instantaneous: this lack of players leads to a lack of resources that allow us to continue providing regular fixes and updates. Keeping a game alive through a process that unearths ever more bugs is not a solution. After communing with the God-Tree, we learned he has had his fill of good vibes, and can retire in peace. The Kwaan adventure is coming to a gracious close. We thank you all for joining us on this journey. Don't forget: The pixel is eternal!

Hello dear little Dwaals.... Yes. It's been a while. Storms have come and gone, water, clouds and velvet sunsets over the sky. Thank you for taking care of this world. As you know, KWAAN is an experiment, something unique that worked beyond our dreams - and even though we know it is still under the radar - this tiny universe will continue to live on. As some of you already know, this project was never meant to be our sole focus, and we have to spend more time on other stuff. We think the game is OK as it is, full of good content for new Dwaals. We will continue updating and fixing bugs, at a slower pace though. But because we have less development time available, we rely on you to tell us what we should focus on first. Please, use the comments here to tell us more about your thoughts - you know we've been super reactive so far, and we need a roadmap. On another note, we will have an update for you in a couple of weeks, a quantum mystery that will get you to ask questions... We are also thinking of giving out the right to create private servers to play with your friends. Let's make this thing happen, ok ? We love you very much.
Hi guys, This update add some new stuffs, you now have personal constructs in your bedroom that will follow you from server to server. This will allow you to store more items in your bedroom as you upgrade your storage for exemple! We also did a lot of balancing such as object to buy from Oscaar or sell to Indy. The Chalice should also be much simpler to get now as there are new place to get it and an increased spawn rate at its original spot. Lastly, along other bug fixes, we fixed the Unable To Connect bug that we've been experiencing lately. You might still see it from time to time as it comes from various situation but it should resolve itself if you try to connect again. See you in game!
Hello, Just a little message to say that there is a new patch live on the servers. We fixed many bugs like the return to lobby that didn't work. Next update will bring some really cool new stuff, can't wait to show it to you guys. Play on!

In this patch we bring a new taaz : the eclipse! Where is the sun, what is happening? Solve the mystery and you might have an answer.
We also added a new crit to the game. You won’t be able to summon it thought, you will need to interact with one of the current crit to bring it alive. We’ll let you discover it when Kwaan deem it necessary for its daily ritual!
Sadly, one of our server had its Kwaan going too sad. He cried and cried until the whole server was flooded. We had to let it die and bring a new one to life.You can all meet him in the Solar server; let's all work towards keeping it alive!
Finally, we unlocked the kwaan height to allow it to grow taller. As usual, we fixed some bugs along the way and added more tooltip in the different menu.

Hello everyone! Today's update focus is to unify the all the dwaal playing on different servers. Two features will help to accomplish this: - An option to return to the lobby without quitting the client - A way to send message to all other server, we expect this to be pretty useful when a server is missing 1 or 2 dancers! However, this feature won’t be free, you will have to spend some of those hard to find Paash token in the totem! You can also expect to be refused an entrance if you don’t have any Paash to spend there. So what are you waiting? Find some right away! We also started to add tooltip in the interface. This will allow us to give more information to the player and explain things that have been hard to understand so far. There are only a few for now, but with the feature in place we’ll add a lot of information to the interface! I’m sure many of you will be happy to know that our favorite running-dwaal Oleg is back to full health! A while ago, he hurt himself while running too much and had to stay in place which made him quite sad. With the authorization of its doctor, he now started to run again and haven’t stopped so far. Give him a shout when you see him pass you by in town, he might have something interesting for you to trade! Finally, we added a way to get to the flying boat. We’re still working on its final implementation but you can give it a look in case there is something interesting for you. As usual, there are a couple of bug fixes and optimization. Next updates will add some new cool feature and we can’t wait to bring it to you. See you in game!

Hi all ! For all the Dwaals who love to dance, a new ritual step has been added ! This ritual unlock the Goddess mode, a special Kwaan' state during which you can collect special items and soon be able to unlock cool features. Be careful, It will only last for 1 hour (6 phases) ! Hey y'all ! A quickie just to tell you we fixed a couple of things in the dirt level under the Kwaan : pay special attention to the items there as they will pile up faster now ! We hope it is not going to crash the servers though ! If there is a problem, i will be there this week end to restart them just in case so please be patient :) Rico has fixed a lot of stuff based on your feedback, thank you so much for engaging with our world... Still so much to do and so many good things happening already :) More hints, some changes in recipes, and new secrets :) For our french lovers out there, the translation is up ! Welcome, all of you new players, joining us in the whimsical mystery that is KWAAN ! The game is now out and we have patched it immediately to offer everybody a suitable way to play - meaning we added keyboard support for moving, breaching our vow to stick to the mouse. After 9 months of Early Access, we're proud of showing you our little world...
Some words of advice :
- KWAAN is an online community. A lot of the gameplay is based on COMMUNITY. This is NOT a solo game, although it has some stuff to keep you entertained if you're a loner. some reviews are complaining about the fact that you need the community to do stuff. You know what ? THAT'S THE CONCEPT !
- It's a game that will continue to grow, based on the feedback from the community. We want to hear from you and our goal is also to grow this game based on your experience of it. If you don't like something, ask away, gather support and show us why we should fix this or that. THAT'S THE CONCEPT !
- KWAAN is not a plateformer, a sandbox or a RPG or just an ecosystem. It is something else. Don't expect the same approach than in any other game. You will need to think outside the box. A lot of the content will only be revealed after DAYS of play. You don't have to play KWAAN a lot. Just enjoy it 20 minutes per day, it is designed that way. Just participate and have a relationship with it. Of course you can do more. But nothing is mandatory.
- Finally : there are a couple of issues with the french translation, please forgive us. It will all be fixed next week. Linux support should be fine too.
- Our last update features some hints in the quest labels, some fixes on the keyboard, overlays etc... We keep on polishing...

Hello my dear ones :) It's been a few days since the game finally came out and we're glad you like it so far ! We've been having a couple of non-critical issues, some due to the specificities of online play, and we mostly fixed them. Here are the fixes : - hell's door is fixed - no more waterfall pink glitches - music is fixed - shark entrance is fixed - lors of NPC dialogs fixed and/or added - added wall underwater to prevent pirate's trampoline from going overwall - added all items spawner (tooth, crystals, turtle...) - hired Dancer that were in ground are fixed - green crystal item added - ritual crystal position fixed - bad zazen frame is fixed - Acid ball in shark that were destroyed on spawn + put them farther to put them behind acidpools (nasty) - stupid ragequit bug We have more coming ! Dear all, We are currently uploading a new build of Kwaan. All neat and pretty. Lots of new stuff, art and quests ! Please, help us make sure all is functionning ! Hey Dwaals ! Pfew...... We're almost there. But to finish the game as we want, we are taking one more week (until the 21st) to polish the game and make sure all the systems work - and the french translation is up. We are also putting together a new trailer and a new website. Too much work for our small hands ! Keep us with us, we won't disappoint ! We love you !
Well well well little Dwaals Another year, another chance to make the world better. 2015 was tough for a lot of you out there, and we wish you peace and a better eveything ! Let's make this happen : OPTIMISM IS REAL ! On the KWAAN front, we are hard at work to make it to the january 14th release date, and all look good. As Yam has said in his xmas note, we are reconstructing the game from scratch, with a new expanded level design, a nano-tuto and a lot of very cool mysteries. Of course, after the release, we will keep on updating and expanding the game, with new content and tiny features to make this experience unforgettable. We know KWAAN is a very different game, not easy to get (as a lot of people are saying in the negative reviews section :p) and our small team is sometimes too small to adress all the problems of an online RPG - ah, sometimes, we wish we had made an offline solo game. But NO. We have decided to make an online game we wanted to play, and here it is. Take it or leave it. Your feedback has been priceless and we hope we haven't disappointed you in this Early Access. It was a wild ride, and sometimes, yes, we despaired - making such a game and having no one to play in is like organizing a great birthday party and nobody shows up. It will take time. It's ok. In the end, we will make it to this dreamland we set up to discover when we started developing this adventure. Thank you again for being with us. Enough of this ramble ! Hey my litte Dwaals....... Oh yes, things are moving. Before anything else, here is a gift for you all : snow ! Yes ! A new Taaz, full of snow and stuff to do and new things we're trying. As you will see, now, in each taaz, a NPC will give you a special quest, related to the the current taaz. We just implemented one to test, but be sure they'll be a lot more, as these quests (some recursive, some not) will help you figure out the mysteries of this world. These quests will become super important to reveal content and what to do - this is the narration we have chosen : we still want a game that needs to be figured out - we still hate tutorials (although we are adding a small one just to teach basic controls). Sorry for the mess with the recent bugs, we had a hard chasing them :) Kudos to Yamato for being the best daddy in the world <3 Kwaan is really a weird little thing. It is growing on us and on the people that play it. A lot of stuff is still in the can and we really hop to be able to implement everything ! But Kwaan is also a very small project, with a very small team, so don't expect the kind of stuff any big MMO team could be doing ! We have really a lot of work to do if we are to stay on course for our target release date. Of course, this game will stay alive for long and keep on growing and expanding, based on the feedback from the community. More soon ! Stay Warm ! Love etc

Ok, so we're implementing all the remaining taaz and the new one, Out of the Eons, features our old friend the Triffid - for those who don't know these buggers, we urged you to read John Wyndham book, The Day of the Triffids, a wonderful book ! Triffids are nasty, hope you'll find a way to get rid of them ! We also fixed the Linux build, sorry for the problems folks ! We're now working on the new taaz, 50 words for snow, and we will fix Too Many raindrops. There will be 2 more to go before the whole thing is complete (hopefully for Christmas). The Story will be there for the release. We plan on doing a couple of new stuff after the release, based on your feedback, so please, keep on sharing your impressions with us ! AN DAILY BATTLE
Each day, the game checks the state of the god tree's mood. If Kwaan cries, the server will drown in tears and crash. The players must restart - keeping their experience ! If Kwaan is happy, the tribe will progress through events and will hopefully unlock all the secrets of the game. If not...
CONSTRUCT, ORGANIZE, DISCOVER
To make Kwaan happy, develop its branches, summon animals, create flowers, fight the pollution, use your grappling hook explore and unearth the secrets... Each action has an influence on the world! Each day, a new narrative mystery will appear, revealing more information about the Kwaan and the origin of the tribe.
