Hey runners, In this update, we've hidden a lot of shiny things in some levels, and you can try to find them NOW! This update brings new collectibles. By collecting them, you can unlock new levels. Also, you can test your speedrun skills on the new trial level. Full patch note: Added

• Added 5 collectible chronothyst gems to chapters 1, 2, 3 & 4; which unlocks a master level for the corresponding chapter after collecting them all in a chapter You can access them from the Chapter Select Page.

The June update brings Collectibles hidden throughout most levels. While collecting them is completely optional, players who manage to gather a significant portion will unlock something special: Secret Levels. Later in the summer, I plan to improve and update the Trial Levels UI and enhance the speedrunner experience. I'll also add a new trial level, giving you one more fast but challenging level to compete on! There will be a separate leaderboard for this new level, but dont worry, previous results and leaderboards will not disappear. Throughout the year, I will work hard to bring the platforming-with-portals experience to Nintendo Switch players. While doing that, we will also do our best to optimize the game even more for all players on handheld devices. Hey-hey runners, It's been a wild ride. Countless hours of coding, testing, and tweaking every pixel to perfection. But now, it's finally happening. Inspiration and Motivation

As a player who loves 2D platformers like Celeste, who is also obsessed with Valve's Portal, I thought of how I could mix these two. I felt like what people call "portals" in 2D games are usually some basic teleportation system, skinned to look like a portal. I wanted to design portals in 2D, such that it would feel seamless like 3D games.

Development Challenges and Overcoming Them

The biggest development problems that emerged were caused by portals. The biggest issue was how common algorithms and systems used in game development couldn't be used when you have portals that bend spacetime. In the end, I had to implement portal versions of core systems and common algorithms which made everything interact with portals.

PORTALS. Ingression has an implementation of portals like no other 2D game ever had before. On top of that, as portals are the main focus of the game, every mechanic and level element interacts with portals to create an immersive and unique experience.

Jump through seamless portals

One of the most fun things in the whole game for sure are seamless portals. And when you combine them with a dynamic precision platformer - it creates an absolutely wild gameplay that will put your reflexes to a test!
We had tons of fun creating these levels, and we hope that you'll have even more fun playing them! I don't want to spoil the fun for you, but in the future, we'll have a LOT more to show to you!

If you watched the trailer - I think you get what I mean, and if not - [spoiler]please watch it, we worked really hard to put it together [/spoiler]
In any case, the levels are designed to be challenging enough for you to struggle your way through them, but not to an "almost impossible" level of struggle. If you are afraid that it will be too hard for you - then hey, give it a shot! The prologue is free and it will be here for a while. And if you find that the game's levels are too easy...

Challenge yourself with a Trial level!

Oh boy, I've spent countless hours on this one already... A true testament to your skills and your will to be the best of the best. Sure, just going through it at your own pace is probably not that hard, but try to do it in under 20 seconds and you'll get what I mean.
Compete with players worldwide on the leaderboard, or get your friends and decide who's the best once and for all! And if you'll manage to do it in under 19 seconds... Well, I don't really have a reward for that, but chances are that your name will be on the top of the leadearboard!
