Hey guys,
We just pushed up an art update that revisited a variety of our most common art assets. To some, these changes might be hard to notice, but will hopefully help with overall cohesion. Lots of these tiles hadn't been revisited in years!

Hello Super Chesslike Adventure fans!
We are thrilled to share some exciting updates about the future of our game. After many months of hard work, we are finally ready to unveil our roadmap and the fantastic features we have in store for you. Check out the roadmap and upcoming features in the images below to get a glimpse of what's coming!
Roadmap Overview
Demo and Early Access
We have just launched our demo on Steam and completed a round of marketing to spread the word about Super Chesslike Adventure. This initial release allows players to dive into Chapter 1 of the single-player campaign and experience the start of their adventure.
Setting Up for Full Release Launch
Our next focus is on refining and expanding the game features to ensure a polished and enjoyable experience for all players. This early access phase will have a set price and aims to achieve two main goals:
- Stabilizing Features: By giving early players access to various game features, we can identify and fix bugs and improve the overall gameplay experience.
- Building a Vibrant Community: Early players will contribute to creating a rich player experience with player-created levels, online rankings, and a bustling community that will be ready for the full release.
Planned Features
Here's a detailed look at the features we plan to introduce and enhance as we move towards the full release:
Single Player Campaign
- Chapter 1: Available soon in the demo. Players can continue in the town of Patzerton after defeating the King/Queen of Patzerton, setting the stage for Chapter 2.

While we are working toward the next major milestone: Early Access, we are also making improvements to the core game mechanics which will get updated in the Demo already available. Today is one of those updates! Direct Control in Overworld Movement We've updated the way controllers work in the overworld. You can see it featured in the latest trailer on the store page! Previously when you would press the analog stick, it would move a cursor that could select a destination for the party leader. Now when you press a direction with the analog stick, your piece will move instantly in that direction until you let go. It currently works for both the d-pad and analog stick. There were some similar controls previously for Fayette only, and only with the d-pad, but now it is extended to other party members, and controllable with the analog sticks in addition as well as the d-pad. Please let us know how you feel about this update in the comments, or on the discord! We're also super excited to announce that we've reached 600 wishlists on Steam! Thank you so much for all of your support, and especially a big shout out to the recent discord members being super active, and contributing lots of new item ideas! Thank you!
