Hi everyone, I have been working on a new little game known as Slime Climb: A Count Pumpcula Tale. This game is a little expansion to the world of Lanthir. It takes place in an ancient pit known as " The Abyss." What more can you do other than to Bounce, jump and slide your way out. This game was inspired by foddian games like "Getting over it" and "Jump King". I hope you all take a look and have a good time... or a frustrating one. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2969960/Slime_Climb__A_Count_Pumpcula_Tale/
A small bug that was causing UI shop items, Power-Ups and Mana/ Health pickups was causing the UI to freeze is now fixed and should not happen again. Although this bug would rarely happen it could cause problems for the players vision in the game. Happy Easter weekend, Luke
Fast Travel has now been Implemented into Count Pumpcula. Fast Travel will only work once a player has visited a particular area, at which point it will unlock in the Fast Travel Map. Note: Players that have already played the game will need to revisit a particular area for the Fast Travel work. Although it's not necessary, it should make the game feel more player friendly. If you are a new player, then this mechanic will become active when reaching allocated Fast Travel Checkpoints. I may do a few more tweaks over the next week but I do feel like the game is in a good place at the moment. Upcoming Updates: - Improve shop UI (pricing, UI bug, add "Sold" sign when buying) - Potentially add a new shop that will sell a map to allow players to find Health and Mana Power UPs. - Pause screen UI upgrade (allows player to see abilities more clearly) - Other small bug fixes. Hope everyone has a good week, Luke
The map now has a more detailed feel. This should make the game easier to navigate around. Although it's not perfect, it should still make the game feel more player friendly. Now that the map is complete, I will enable a fast travel function of the next few days. Hope everyone has a good weekend, Luke
A few people were having a trouble with the difficulty of this area, so I have done a minor rework. Changes: - Added a new enemy character to make Minas Gilath feel less repetitive with constant wall climbing and pogoing. Although that is still the main theme of that area. - Added an additional Mana Statue to an area that may be difficult for some to pogo through. -Removed a few Mace balls, Spikes and Posionous Water Traps to help lower the difficulty. These may be minor changes, but they should make Minas Gilath feel more player friendly. Next Update I will incorporate fast travel. Hope you all have a good day and let me know if it feels easier, harder or about the same in difficulty. Luke
Hi everyone, Spikes should now stop doing multiple waves of damage. Also, in the patch yesterday, I changed the base damage from 1 to 0.5 damage and extended the Iframe time from 2 second to 3. This should be fine considering in the end game area there are Mana statues per level. I know this game can be buggy and frustrating at times, but I will make changes so that everyone can have a good time. I will also incorporate fast travel between areas and bosses. I didn't think this was an issue at first because the game isn't that long, but I will do it non the less. Just know that constant updates will happen, but in time. All the best, Luke
Few players are having trouble with the Iframes and spike damage. As is I have made a few changes. - Iframes now last a little bit longer going from 2 seconds to now 3 seconds. - All Spike and Trap damage has been reduced from 1 damage to 0.5 damage. I will need more time to fix these issues so that they are more player friendly. I also appreciate the input from those who have purchased the game so far. Over the next few weeks, I will try to incorporate a few more features such as: - Fast travel (to boss rooms and certain areas of Minas Gilath) - Clearer UI (knowing what power ups you have in the pause menu) - Larger sword hit box (helps with pogo-ing and enemy fights) - Shop UI (I will add a "sold" sign over items purchased) - Rework a few areas of Minas Gilath so that there will be less spikes and more enemies (this may take the longest, but I will make it happen) I am just one person at the end of the day so please be patient and I will do my best. Hope everyone has a good day, Luke.
Hi everyone, I appreciate all the love and support over this last week with the current Steam Next Fest event. The Kickstarter project will run till the 8th of November 2022 and there are special tiers that you can purchase if you wish to have your own NPC or house in the world of Lanthir.
