PUKE mode is taking more time that I thought. Or actually, it was ready a couple weeks ago, but I decided to make it even weirder. The city and the colors and the effects will follow Isak's beats and do stuff to try and drive you crazy.

If you were following the news, you know how CD Baby was falsely claiming Goscurry's videos because of Isak's soundtrack being also sold separately via their store. Well, that is officially no more, and CD Baby is gone. It took more than a month of suffering but we're very happy. Whew!

We're gonna celebrate that with the new PUKE MODE update, which will almost surely come at the end of this week or the next one (and will also contain other minor improvements).

Also, Goscurry's got a completely new and revamped website. More minimalist and straightforward.

Hello ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the first Goscurry Steam update.

New Features

• Added optional unlocked cities randomization.
  On the PLAY panel you have a new option which, if checked, will randomize the order of all the cities you unlocked. The ones that are still locked will keep their order, so this is just a visual candy, and not a way to unlock cities more easily.
  

• Fixed Ram and Diver achievements calculating values per mode instead than overall. If you should've got one of these achievements already, starting Goscurry after this update will immediately grant it.

UPDATE (February 02 2015): we did it! CD Baby is finally out of the way. You will get no more claims for any video related to Goscurry. Whew!

First of all, dear YouTubers, we want to assure you that you have all the right to monetize videos about Goscurry.

Until January 29, CD Baby might try to make claims on your video, saying it contains copyright music by Isak J Martinsson. Isak is Goscurry's musician. He doesn't want CD Baby to claim his copyrights on YouTube videos. When he discovered that was happening, he disabled that option and we waited a couple weeks for that to take effect. Now that option is completely disabled in CD Baby so their claim is not only unwanted but also unlawful (and kind of scammy to be honest).

If CD Baby tries to claim your video, just contest the claim, get back to monetizing your stuff, and everything will be alright.

Sorry for this annoyance, Isak is talking with them and we hope to get them out of the way once and for all.

Yes we're pretty angry because of this (and we're usually very un-angry guys).

Additional Note
Both Isak and I agree that a musician's copyright should be protected, that's not the problem here. The fundamental notion here is that a musician's music is his, to do what he pleases with it. Nobody needs a patronizing web company to take control of their music and do with it as they please, ignoring the musician's wishes so they can go on skimming money for themselves.

Isak talked with CD Baby and they say they might go on claiming stuff until January 29 (because apparently they need more than 5 weeks to understand that a checkbox has been unchecked)*.

Here is Isak's CD Baby settings, just to show that they shouldn't claim anything already. In no place it's stated that that option is not truly disabled.



* Actually, we understand that some processes might not be that easy (I worked on big websites in the past, I'm definitely not a newbie to the workflow). That said:
1) More than 5 weeks to truly uncheck an option is really really truly too long
2) In no place it says that that checkbox will take such a long time to be truly unchecked (nor it says that the checkbox state doesn't mean anything at all apparently, since CD Baby still claims stuff after finally unchecking it).
3) The option is now disabled since some days, which made us think we could release Goscurry without any CD Baby claims (otherwise we would've waited). Did you trick us on purpose CD Baby? You ever heard of usability and transparency?

How to get your Steam keys
If you already bought Goscurry via Desura, the Humble Bundle widget, the Brandon Boyer Bundle of Love or the GamesRage bundle, you will get a Steam key as soon as it's out (you might actually get it even sooner, but the Steam version won't unlock until release date).

How to get it from Desura
Login and go to your Collection. Find Goscurry and rollover its picture, so that the "My Keys" button appears. Press it and voil, Steam key!

How to get it from Humble
Login and find Goscurry in your Library. From there you'll be able to activate it on Steam (please note: keys might appear a little later than the release time, but surely within the day).

Save data
When you start your Steam version the first time, all your existing save data will be converted so you won't lose it and it can be used with Steam Cloud. That is, unless you last played on a Goscurry version older than v1.2.060, in which case I'm deeply sorry but all your data will be reset (older versions use a leaderboard system that sadly failed and that I had to replace completely).
