Join me as I rescue science vessels stranded in space@
The developer will play for a while to showcase the game.
After a couple of months of hard work porting our game to mobile, we can now announce that Extinction Eclipse is officially available for Android devices on the Google Play Store.
Download now
We put a lot of effort adapting the controls, gameplay and screens to work great on touch screens and we are very happy with the end result.
For instance, we worked a version of the map that can be expanded from the mini map and move selected ships from there, allowing you, the player, to control your fleet easily.
And of course, we adapted the tutorial for this touch controls version.
The game is free to download, and you can play the first 2 missions for free. If you wish to unlock the full game, there is a single IAP for $2.99. The game has no ads.
Check it on the Play Store
During all this time we received a lot of comments about Extinction Eclipse being a perfect fit for mobile, so now we are happy to bring it to you.

Thanks to great feedback from our players, we have added two new features:
Auto mining
Before, when mining ships finished extracting all the resources from an asteroid, they stayed idle until the player order them to move elsewhere, but now, they will look for nearby asteroids and will automatically mine them! This makes the game more dynamic and fluid. But if you prefer to micro manage your fleet, you can turn this feature off from the Settings.
Automatic help
When bases or ships without weapons (such as miner ships and exploration probes) are under attack, they will automatically ask for help from nearby, idle warships (fighters and battle cruisers) which will come and fight the attacking enemies, automatically.
Both features work with nearby asteroids and ships, so you will still need to look after your fleet.
We hope you enjoy these new features! We will continue to work on enhancements and bug fixes to offer the best gaming experience possible.
Hi all,
Today, were adding another skirmish mode: Search and Rescue ! In this mode, you, the commander, need to find a rescue science vessels that are stranded in deep space, before they are found and destroyed by the Harvesters.
This time, the radar signal is lost! so you will need to fly blindly to find and mine asteroids and build a satellite quickly to restore map funcionality.
With the level being procedurally generated, the vessels will spawn in different positions every time you play, so you can jump back in, do battle over and over again, until youve mastered the art of space exploration and war!
Thanks as always for your support,
Jeudy
We bring you a great 30% discount on Extinction Eclipse! Explore the universe, find asteroids, build bases and a fleet and destroy the aliens!
Hi all,
Theres many ways to play Extinction Eclipse, from starting out with your small crew and building up a mighty fleet in the campaign, to going all out on skirmish mode with our fast (or slow) paced game modes ready for you to explore the universe, do battle, destroy every Harvester on sight and survive to tell the tale.
Today, were adding more!
Enter our new skirmish mode mission called Stop the Grid, bringing you on a journey of search and destruction, where you must travel the galaxy to locate the enemy hexagons, eliminate them from stealing our sun rays, and ultimately rendezvousing safely back to base after completing your mission.
With the level being procedurally generated, the hexagons will spawn in different positions every time you play, so you can jump back in, do battle over and over again, until youve mastered the art of space exploration and war!
Beyond that, were received requests to add more languages to the game, so should that need continue to increase, you can expect more languages to be added to the game in 2023. Were also not done in terms of game modes, keep an eye out as there will be even more ways to play Extinction Eclipse in the near future.
Thanks as always for your support,
Keep your spaceships steady!

Hi everyone, Launching a game as a small indie studio is always a challenging labor of love, and with Extinction Eclipse being our first major title, from development to launch, weve learned a lot, also thanks to you. First things first, thank you so much to all the players who have already picked up the game here on Steam or on Nintendo Switch, its been fun to interact with different people, to read your reviews, and to work on the feedback youve shared for Extinction Eclipse. Moving into 2023, we want to confirm our commitment to continuing to develop the game with you, so keep an eye out for important updates, new localisations, new game modes, and so on, as they are released throughout the year. Well also be slashing the price of our title for good. Whilst were incredibly grateful to anyone who purchased our title at the previous price, and to all those who took advantage of our launch-week discount, weve decided that our game will now be available for just $9.99. This will help us continue to make Extinction Eclipse accessible to more indie and RTS fans, so we hope you support our decision. Thats all for today, we wish you all a fantastic new year! Jeudy
Thanks to the great feedback received, we have now an updated version of the game with significant enhancements:
- Enhancements on initial position and distribution of ships and satellites. When the mission starts, ships will be grouped by type, not as randomly as before.
- Automatic repair. Pods will now start repairing any nearby damaged ship or building. Enable or disable automatic repair with the action button on the left.
- No WASD disabling while ships are being build.
- Queued way points. Shift-right click to define a scouting path with multiple points (similar to Age of Empires 3)
- Ships selection when touching Icon from ships counter
- Ships won't lose their paths after a battle.
- Squadrons defined with CTRL + a num key will now be selected by pressing the numkey that defined them, and SHIFT+num key will move the camera to the center of the squadron.
We recently received reports from players complaining that ships sometimes were not obeying commands (specially when running away from battle) so we have fixed that. When you send ships to explore, and the stumble upon enemies, they will engage, but if you command them to run away, they will not look back! Also, for the controller version, we are slowing down ships under the cursor so it's easier to select them. Finally, we noticed in many let's play videos that sometimes, the structure previewer when building a structure using mining ships disappeared. We found the cause and fixed it (it was really annoying!) Thanks for your reports!
Thanks everyone who have submitted bug reports! In this update, we fix some issues when selecting units with a large selection box, and also, some display issues with the smoke trails in the bullets. More content coming soon!
Extinction Eclipse will be participating in the INDIE Live Expo Winter 2022 and we want players to have the chance to try out the game in our free demo! The demo offers the first missions of the Preparations campaign in Story Mode, and 10 minutes of any Skirmish mode mission. Check it out, wishlist and get it today!
We fixed a couple of minor but annoying bugs:
- Audio in intro and game map explanation of ships had a weird reset, fixed now.
- Controller support was failing on ships selection, this is also fixed.
- When playing on controllers or on the Deck, the buildings positioners got stuck when you selected a different ship.

You will build your fleet gradually, and before each mission, you can choose which ships to use. After you build your ships, any of them that manage to survive during the mission will become part of the available fleet.
You will also accumulate unused metal and water to trade for upgrades and power ups in the store. These upgrades will make you faster and stronger, increasing your chances of succeeding.
But be careful, the aliens will not sit back and relax while you expand. They will attack your bases by surprise, so be prepared to defend them constantly!
Story
There is a point in space between the Sun and Earth, known as the Lagrange L1, that is gravitationally stable. Anything you place in there, will stay there. This is the spot our scientists observed when temperatures on Earth started to drop inexplicably after a reduced input of sunlight. What they found was disturbing.
A grid of gigantic hexagon-shaped objects was being build on Lagrange L1 by an unknown alien intelligence. They were hostile to the space probes we sent to explore. Humanity has only one path: build a fleet of combat spaceships, destroy the grid, and the aliens building it!
The Story Mode is divided into campaigns with several missions each. Completing a campaign will unlock others so you can play in a non-linear way. You decide the path to victory.
The Skirmish Mode allows you to configure the match: map size, goal, initial fleet and upgrades, etc. The world will then be procedurally generated, offering a unique experience everytime!
Key Features
- Resource mining and management: Use miner ships to mine water and metal asteroids. Miners will bring the resources to the closest Space Station or resource deposits. Use them to build your ships, bases and for upgrades.
- Base Building: Expand your territory by building space stations, communication satellites, research centers and resource deposits.
- Defend your base: strategically place defense towers around your bases and precious resources. They will activate automatically and attack enemies that get too close.
- Resupply mission: if you are running low on ships and resources, you will have access to a procedurally generated mission with asteroids and just a few enemies.
- Upgrade store: trade accumulated metals and water for upgrades for your fleet. Your ships can be faster, stronger and sturdier!
We put great effort into adapting the controllers so you can enjoy this RTS experience using a controller. Make sure to complete the short tutorial, it will explain the mechanics, user interface and controls.
