New Hermit Demo Out! Right on time for Steam Remote Play Together Fest!


Hello you beautiful people! We have some amazing news! We have been hard at work to create a new version of the Demo, more accessible, more fun to play, and with more content than ever before! The new Demo includes:

  • Tutorial, brought to you by Bromedes the turtle!
  • Mini levels, featuring crabs!
  • Objectives, unlocking starfish!
  • One boss level, with a giant crab!
  • An infinite level with steam leaderboards to measure your skills against your friends!
  • Skill upgrades shop
  • Shell upgrades shop
  • Three languages: English, French and German!
We made sure the demo is live for the Steam Remote Play Together Fest, which starts Monday! We hope you enjoy playing the demo as much as we enjoyed creating it!

We are happy to announce that the first public Demo of Hermit: an Underwater Tale is now available for free to play for all!
The demo includes:

  • A tutorial, and first easy level (ok ok maybe not that easy).
  • A second challenging level.
  • An infinite level, with leaderboards and high score. Try to beat your friends!

Hermit: an Underwater Tale is a fast paced action game with arcade elements. You play as a hermit crab who faces waves of creeps and dangerous sea creatures. In order to protect yourself and defeat your enemies, you will use a wide variety of empty shells as weapons. Each shell comes with a specific set of moves and attacks and will eventually break after use. Without any shell, the hermit is fully exposed and any damage he receives will be lethal. The game features a simple core mechanic paired with a high and ever increasing difficulty over multiple levels. In order to beat the game, you will have to combine skill, real-time resources management, smart item purchases, upgrade strategies and serious stamina in order to survive.
