Another message? Okay, this time it's not an update. As you may know, the Steam Awards 2023 are coming up, and we would be honored if you would nominate us for Labor of Love. For those of you who havent heard, weve been working on our next game in the Duck Simulator franchise for quite some time now. But while weve been busy slaving away on yet another action-packed game, weve been taking lots of time to polish Duck Simulator 2 to be the best game it can be! Since the Steam Awards just so happen to be around the corner, wed love to have your nomination for the Labor of Love award! We dont quite have the same chance compared to many other popular games out there, but if you really have enjoyed our work as of late, wed be incredibly glad to have your support! Whether or not you decide to vote for us, weve loved our time with all of you in our Discord server (shameless plug) and were so happy to have such a great community! Duck Simulator 2 is officially two years old today, and weve got lots of plans for the future. Youve all been amazing, and well see you all around! - Orius and Eliza
Another one?
Yep, another update. Here's the list of bugfixes this time.
- Fixed a bug where an error cutscene would play on first boot.
- Fixed an issue with the Prologue shop not adjusting in volume.
- Fixed a rare crash due to issues with the volume manager.
Happy 13 months and 4 days since the last update! This is likely the final update coming to Duck Simulator 2, which brings a variety of changes that will help us out as we transition to Duck Simulator 3!
- Switched to Orius Games account system (achievements cross-save)
- Created new speedrun leaderboard
- Rewrote a whole bunch of stuff
- Tweaked final boss fights
- Removed right-clicking or pressing ALT returning to previous screen
Hey there buddies, so funny story... the audio in Duck Simulator 1's credits was taken directly from Duck Simulator 1 (big surprise) but it turns out that I never actually changed it to my own music for Duck Simulator 2... which is a big no-no for copyright purposes... so I changed it, please don't sue me. And one final time, please feel free to join our Discord server if you wanna hang out with the thousand other members we have!
Hey there! Wanna see the world's fastest update?
- Fixed dialogue sessions in Chapter 3 with only one line of text being unskippable.
Man, and just when I thought that I was done with this game...
- Fixed a major bug that caused speedruns under four or even three minutes to be submitted.
- Fixed a bug where starting a new prologue game after buying scenery in a prior run caused the scenery to give out free coins despite not being purchased yet,
Hello, everybody! First of all, thank you for the insane support! We've reached over 80,000 units "purchased" and it's absolutely insane to see how the community has grown since our launch around nine months ago. And to thank you all for this momentous occasion, I've put together one last hurrah before the big work on Duck Simulator 3 and other projects begin! I'm not sure how much more I can actually do with this game, so I am going to assume (though I have been wrong several times before) that this is the final update. So without further ado, here are the (hopefully) final patch notes:
- Added an optional speedrun timer when starting from the prologue.
- You can now link your Discord account through our official server to receive rewards!
- [strike]the door now opens to those who prove themselves worthy...[/strike]
- Added "press any button to skip" text to cutscenes.
Hey all, Developer here! I thought this would be nice to do, but I really just wanted to say that I unfortunately may have to delay Duck Simulator 3. I've been kind of burned out with all of this, and I'm gonna take some time to just do some fun game development stuff with some friends. Hopefully, however, this should lead to a better experience in Duck Simulator 3 with everything I learn in the new game! Make sure to check out the Duck Simulator 2 Discord Server if you're curious or have questions, and I'll see you all soon!
Yeah, so the achievement community decided to come after me due to the difficult nature of the two new achievements. Frankly, it was a stupid decision of me to add achievements after the game launched in the first place. But now, achieving any of the new secret endings will change the particles of your main menu to a gold color! Reminder that if you can still prove that you beat Quackcore Mode, then you're still eligible to receive the almighty Cilantro+ role on the Discord server! Oh yeah, I also made Duck Simulator 1's remake available from the beginning of the game. There was way too much confusion surrounding that. No, you DON'T need to download an entirely separate game to unlock this achievement! See you all around!
Hey everybody, it's me again! Duck Simulator 2 is currently sitting at 60,000 units purchased (giving me a profit of -$100) and I couldn't be happier! This game grew to be way bigger of a project than I first anticipated, as I simply made it to prove to my friends that I was capable of publishing a game to Steam. I definitely did not expect people to actually find any joy from this game, and yet we now have a dedicated community just to speed run the game! And while I would love to update this game till the end of time, the truth is that the game is getting a bit stale after the three months it has been popular and it's time for me to move onto other projects. Don't worry, Duck Simulator 3 will eventually release! But my focus is on my personal life and other programming projects for now. And to close this little preface out, you're all an amazing community and I just wanted to thank you! With all of that out of the way, here are the final patch notes until I inevitably change my mind or have to fix the smallest bug known to man.
After a lot of pain and suffering, I managed to release Duck Simulator 2 on XBOX! And yes, this was the primary reason for me adding controller support to the game. Hurray for big announcements! I'm not sure if I'll be able to publish this to other platforms, as PlayStation and Nintendo have much stricter requirements. However, I'll try my best and let you all know in the Discord server (patent pending) should anything happen! You can also get a role there for beating the game, if you're interested. Thank you all for playing Duck Simulator 2, and I'll see you later! https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/store/duck-simulator-2/9pkkrpblfqpk
This is probably one of the last major updates the game will be getting, but Duck Simulator 2 is not quite finished. I have big news coming in the next day or two, so make sure to join the Discord server so you won't miss out! Here's the changelog for this version.
- Controller support
- Sensitivity options are available in the settings
- Amount of pizzas collected is now viewable in the New Game menu
- Changelog no longer shows up on first bootup
- Fifth wall cutscenes are now skippable
- Rearranged the main menu UI
- Bug fixes
Basically, I've had about a two-week winter vacation from school. I've had a lot of time to think about what I should do with the franchise, especially now that we've sold over 50,000 units! For nearly the whole vacation, I've been trying to decide whether I would want to make Duck Simulator 3 and reach a bigger audience (this was just a school project I put on Steam!) or update Duck Simulator 2 with a multiplayer campaign. And tonight I just realized that I was going about it all wrong, and should ask all of you what you think! Should I begin work on Duck Simulator 3 in a few weeks, I would likely be able to promise a Summer 2022 release date. However, if I update Duck Simulator 2 with a multiplayer campaign then Duck Simulator 3 could be delayed as far as Winter 2022. The multiplayer campaign definitely wouldn't be any small addition, either! Either way, here's what you could expect from both. Duck Simulator 3
- A completely new game with a much longer story (2-4 hours compared to Duck Simulator 2's 30 minutes)
- An included multiplayer campaign, whether that be at launch or via an update
- Actual content after the main campaign ends
- An update to the already existing Duck Simulator 2
- Up to four players per room in a game similar if not exact to "A Fable of Below"
- Three chapters, each about 20 minutes long (players can only play at their combined lowest chapter)
Hey everybody! So, I just wanted to preface this changelog by giving a big thank you for all the support over the past few days! In about a week, we've gone from 2,000 downloads to nearly 25,000 downloads! I have big plans for the future, but those must wait as I am currently writing this at 1 AM and need to catch some beauty sleep. With all of that out of the way, here's the actual changelog. Thanks once again for everything, and make sure to check out our official Discord server if you want to hang out!
- Added chapter selection for the campaign in the settings
- Added Bonuses menu to the original Duck Simulator
- Added splash text and footer text to main menu
Hey there fellow quackers! No pressure or anything, but it would be indeed be very cool if we were to get nominations for the Most Innovative Gameplay reward. I'm incredibly happy to report that over 2,000 users have downloaded Duck Simulator 2 in the past three days, which is more than I could've ever hoped for! Thank you all for your support since launch, and I hope to bring more news on future updates soon!
This update just adds some very requested final finishes!
- Added checkpoints for each minigame of the final boss fight
- You can now left click or press enter to skip dialogue in the RPG section
- Fixed a bug where taller aspect ratios would have a bloated clicker scene
- Fixed an issue where getting no pizzas could result in a softlock at the credits.
- Fixed the game softlocking while attempting to load into a finished campaign save file
- Tweaked the floppy bird section of the boss fight
- Fixed the wave going out-of-bounds in the boss fight
As promised, Duck Simulator 2 has officially launched for free! I hope you all enjoy the game as much as I did developing it! Anybody who found any issues or wants to hang out can join our official Discord server! https://ducksimulator.com/discord

You'll begin by quacking your way through a clicker game, but before you know it the rubber duck will go rogue and completely destroy it! From there, the developer will create several different games (each with a varying genre) for you to complete while they try to find out what went wrong with the original game. So one moment you may be shooting red capsules, but in the next you could be hopping between islands whilst trying not to fall into the void!
Features
- Four different types of games within the campaign
- Includes a remaster of the original Duck Simulator
- An original soundtrack
- Completely free
