Are you looking for ways to connect with a friend in a different city? Are you tired of only talking to your pet all day? Want to replace that weekly call home with The Jackbox Party Pack 9? Congrats! Youve found the perfect blog post. Jackbox Games are local multiplayer games, but with a few extra steps, its easy to get a game started with others in remote locations. If youre unfamiliar with our games, our general How To Play page is a great place to learn how to start a room and connect players to a game. After youve checked that out, hop on back to this page! Playing with Friends and Family If you feel confident about your internet connections, just jump onto a videoconferencing service (like Zoom, Discord, or Google Meet). Start a game on your laptop and use the screen-sharing option so that your players can see the game. Everyone can play along on their own mobile devices by using a browser and going to Jackbox.tv. If youre having difficulty getting back to your video conferencing screen from the games full-screen mode, go to the settings in the main lobby and turn off Full Screen Mode. If youre a Steam fan, you can skip the videoconferencing step and use Steam Remote Play Together. This feature allows you to share your local co-op games online with friends. The Jackbox Language Pack

December 15, 2022 Were thrilled to announce that The Jackbox Party Pack 9 is now available fully localized in French, Italian, German, Latin American Spanish and Castilian Spanish as part of our Language Pack update. Weve fully translated these games in every way - from the settings menus to the end credit songs after each game! You will soon be able to Roomerang en en espaol and Quixort auf Deutsch. The Language Pack is part of a free update to The Jackbox Party Pack 9. Making more of our games available in additional languages has always been our goal. For the first time ever you can enjoy a full Party Pack available in more than English! Lets take a look at our progress over the years: On April 8th 2020, Jackbox Games released Quiplash 2 InterLASHional, a game which took Quiplash 2 and gave it a robust update in four new languages. In 2021, we updated Drawful 2 in French, Italian, German and Castilian Spanish. Then, in the summer of 2022 we released The Jackbox Party Starter, a collection of three of our more popular games fully localized from top to bottom in all previous languages plus Latin American Spanish. Now were localizing The Jackbox Party Pack 9 for our non-English speaking audiences! To play, simply update your copy of The Jackbox Party Pack 9 on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. Nintendo Switch customers can enjoy this free update in January 2023. FAQ: When will we see a Jackbox game in Latin? Its really difficult being funny in English, and translating our humor into other languages compounds the challenge. Were starting out with French, Italian, German and Spanish because we have existing demand in those languages. If we see broad support for other languages, we will certainly consider adding to our language options! Latin is really unlikely though, sorry. Will you update past games to support these language options? This isnt currently in our plan, though we never say never. We will continue to add more languages beyond English to new releases moving forward. I noticed an error in this translation? Hey, thats not a question! Join the Party Pack 9 Launch Day Marathon Stream!

Were celebrating Party Pack 9 release day by hosting a marathon stream! During this marathon livestream, you can expect to meet several members of our team. Well start the day with a cozy draw-along featuring artists from the Jackbox Games staff at 10 AM CT. At 11 AM CT, well transition into hour-long blocks highlighting each of the five games in The Jackbox Party Pack 9, starting with Nonsensory. Jackbox team members will play the new games and invite you to join the game audience and influence outcomes (or perhaps even play the game yourself)! This time block will also provide you with the opportunity to ask questions about creating party games. Start thinking about what you might want to ask the Jackbox Games team now, and be ready to send those questions in the stream chat. Well end our block of individual game features with Roomerang. For the first time ever, Jackbox Games will be participating in Steam Next Fest! About Steam Next Fest Steam Next Fest is a multiday celebration where Steam users can try out game demos, chat with developers, watch livestreams, and learn more about The Jackbox Party Pack 9 ahead of its release on Thursday, October 20th. The fest begins on Monday, October 3rd at 10 AM PT and ends on Monday, October 10th at 10 AM PT. During this window of time, youll be able to download The Jackbox Party Pack 9 demo from the Steam store page and try out abbreviated rounds from three of the new games in the pack. Once the fest ends, the demo will no longer be available to be downloaded! Then, the Video Game Illuminati descended and told us that our selfishness would be punished with ten years of cursed parties if we didnt see the error of our ways. *shudders* In a totally unselfish attempt to ensure your hangouts are engaging and fun through the holiday season, weve decided that The Jackbox Party Pack 9 is coming to major digital platforms on Thursday, October 20th! Were on cloud nine to have successfully finished what might be our best pack yet. Why did you make us wait so long to share a date? Its true that we usually release our new title around this time of year! In the time leading up to launch, we have to submit our game to all of the many platforms were available on. Until we pass the submission process, were unable to select a release date. Because we have a speedy annual release cycle, the time between submission and release is super quick!
