New Xtra World: XS-X Party of Spirits
Music by: Cansol Tutorial Music by: Blooky Level by: NumbEr07 VFX by: Firestix Let's party! This was a really fun world to make. We knew we wanted to work with this piece for a long time, especially with how quick and bouncy it is. It was a perfect opportunity to introduce a new character, our Tiger. Firestix went the extra mile on animating all of our ideas, and we love how it came out. Enjoy!
New Featured Levels
Olie - Temple Of Treasure [by TeoC] Temple Of Treasure is one of the 5 episodes of Everypence, a story written by Olie. TeoC loved Olie's story so much he decided to adapt it to ADOFAI. We were impressed by how he created this adaptation, especially by making original gameplay gimmicks inspired by it. Temple Of Treasure stands out as our favorite because of its interesting gimmick that makes you switch between 2 pairs of planets that are different in speed. Pro tip: be mindful of the audio cues; they will help you during the switch-ups! Raimukun - Avantgarde [by Team Vega] Team Vega's return to making more high-quality levels couldn't be grander when they published Avantgarde, a level that won the 'Art-est Award' in LOTY2023 for its outstanding VFX made by talented creators around the world! This level is also one of the toughest featured levels, with an average BPM so fast that the rhythms you may be already familiar with were taken to the extreme! Lokan - Wild! West! Showdown! [by Star4th] Wild! West! Showdown! is a track made for PABAT! 2019, with an animation that tells the story of a duel between two foes for one treasure. Star4th adapted this to ADOFAI for the SMTL competition, where he was given a penalty that states: "The level must exactly have 48 twirls." Wondering where those twirls went should be the least of your worries though, because... Wait, huh? THE LAST TILE IS SENTIENT??? Camellia vs Akira Complex - Railgun Roulette (VIP) [by Econ, Twilight Skylines, ABorinGuy, yeetyote] Railgun Roulette (VIP) is a track made by a collaboration between Camellia and Akira Complex with their powerful head-banging take on Drum & Bass music! This level was made for FAINT, a fan-run sightreading tournament where players compete in levels they have never seen before! This level may look easy, but don't sleep on those visual distractions, they might catch you off guard! Thank you, Akira Complex. We miss you. (Note: This track may be flagged by fingerprint systems such as YouTube Content ID.)

It's the 5-Year Anniversary of A Dance of Fire and Ice!
Thank you so much for playing our game all these years. It's been amazing to watch how the custom level community has gotten better and better over time. The levels that the community has made are so creative, and the skills on display by the streamers who play them have been really impressive. We're a really small team, so we never imagined that people would still be playing after all this time.
We hope you continue to enjoy the game! To celebrate, we've added one new Xtra World and a set of new Featured Levels.

Updated Featured Level
Zris - Can't it be true Level by Lycklig For the year 2024, Lycklig has remade this level from scratch (with help from our staff, rKizCora)! We've also updated some elements of it. - Now tagged as "Community Featured". - The difficulty has been increased from 2 to 3. - The new speed trial aim is x1.4.

Improvements and Bugfixes
- Game should support many more tiles on a single level. In our testing, a level with 86,000 tiles used to run at 26 FPS, after optimization it now runs at 128 FPS.

New Team Members:
We've added a few new members to the 7th Beat Games team! Hyonsu and Paring are two programmers who have come aboard to help us with all sorts of ADOFAI features, especially for the level editor. They work fast and have been incredibly helpful members of the team for the past few months. Rikri and rKizCora have also joined us! rKizCora is helping us with Featured Level selection and Rikri is helping us with licensing and communication with level creators. Having them assist us is crucial to us being able to add more Featured Levels, so we super appreciate it. It's a lot of things to manage at once while developing a game! On a related note, our team member Nichipe has stepped away from an active role in helping us with Featured Levels, due to a busy schedule. Rikri and rKizCora have joined to help us in Nichipe's absence, so please don't send Nichipe any questions or messages regarding Featured Levels!
New Featured Levels:
Fog sees it "Fog sees it is a great example of a level where everything is made by the same creator, which is something you don't usually see nowadays and is highly commendable for doing so!" We've actually included two different versions of the level. Those are Plant Guy - Fog sees it Level by: Plant Guy "This level features a gameplay gimmick to keep your eyes peeled for, as the only thing that will guide you in this journey are the sign tiles. Follow the directions, and never lose your sight!" Plant Guy - Fog sees it (Metal Powered) Level by; Plant Guy "This is the "metal-powered" version of Fog sees it. Unlike its original, this level features faster speeds and intense visuals. Use the sign tiles as your advantage to visualize the challenging hidden pathways, but act fast or one small trip can send you to the void!" (Note: It is highly recommended to play the regular "Fog sees it" first.) Othinus - Fragor Magnus Level by: Hawkyrious and TeoC "Recall the wonderful voyage you've gone through in this equally wonderful level made by Hawkyrious with rock-n-roll tunes by Othinus! It uses the concept of remixing all of ADOFAI Worlds 1-12 into one memorable level. This level has been given a visual remake by TeoC and a song rearrangement by Erichey to give the level a more refined sound and look. (Cutscene music courtesy of 0mni) (Portal image courtesy of Plant Guy) Kubbi & Jonas Dam - Up In My Jam (All Of A Sudden) Level by: Kin "This level won 1st place in Rhythm Doctor Lounge's ADOFAI Community Competition 1: Steampunk! With great chiptune + rock music made by Kubbi & Jonas Dam and brilliant decorations and storytelling done by Kin, this level feels like a crossover of a cartoon show! It perfectly gives you the experience of taking a tour around a place you've never been before, filling you with excitement and curiosity while you gaze at peculiar but glamorous works of art." Inverted Silence - Vista Level by: Econ and Yeetyote Vista is the end product of mixing Econ's great taste in charting, YeetYote's beautifully explosive VFX, and Inverted Silence's head-banging glitch-hop sounds! Wild rumors say that during this journey, your vision may be distracted and the sense of time may be frozen, but once you reach the top, your eyes will surely be fed well with a beautiful view! (Some assets courtesy of kernby) (Note: This track may be flagged by fingerprint systems such as YouTube Content ID.) Jade Kim - Love Letters (KOTDARI Remix) Level by: FluffyYoshi, yhld120, pixelo3o "This level won 2nd place for the "Best Relaxing Level Award" in LOTY 2022! Also known as "4-EX" and hosted by Team Vega, it took a different perspective of what World 4-X would look like if the theme was something else. FluffyYoshi, yhld120, pixelo3o, and KOTDARI thought it would be a cool idea to turn World 4-X into a modernistic-designed level with chill but energetic glitch-hop music. Turns out, that was a perfect match!"

Don't step on the noisy tiles!" Jam With Pancake Music by: Frums Level by: Daming "While Frums' characteristic style of music has an unmistakable flavor, they wanted to try something different for Jam with Pancake. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year
This is the final update you should expect to see from us in 2022! After taking a few weeks off for the holidays, we'll be back in 2023 to add more Featured Levels and small improvements. A Dance of Fire and Ice, the Neo Cosmos DLC, and Rhythm Doctor are all on sale as part of the Steam Winter Sale. If you haven't tried all three before, now is a good time to pick them up. Likewise, if you have a friend who might enjoy rhythm games, let them know about the sale. Or surprise them with a gifted copy in their Steam inbox! Thanks so much for playing, and for all the support in 2022. It really means a lot. We never knew that people would still be enjoying ADOFAI for this long, but the continued support on social media, the playthroughs on Youtube and Twitch, and over 15,000 community levels on Steam Workshop have all been so eye-opening for us. Thank you. Twitter: @adofai Official Discord: https://7thbe.at/discord/ Website: https://7thbe.at/

New World!
World XN: Trans-Neptunian Object (Music and Illustrations by Valerie Halla, Level by Jenny, Tutorial Music by Blooky) For this level, we had the honor of collaborating with illustrator, cartoonist, and composer Valerie Halla! We were excited enough to get a chance to chart her track, but being able to work together on the visuals was an exciting bonus. You can find the level on Xtra Island.
Additions and Improvements

- Copying and pasting floors containing decorations will now paste the decorations over the selected floors.

- Hovering over decoration items will display cyan borders on the decoration objects for easier visualization.
- We've added a huge optimization to the CLS that makes loading the level list over 100x faster.

They worked directly with TaroNuke in composing for the levels, and we really love the tracks they created. If you'd like to support us and the featured artists, check it out!
We're Working On More Neo Cosmos Content
We have three things we want to note quickly! 1. We are now working on adding more content to be added to the Neo Cosmos DLC! It will take a while, but please look forward to it. We were waiting to see what the reception of the DLC would be, and since so many people enjoyed it, we're happy to keep going and add more to it. These updates to Neo Cosmos will be free content patches. 2. As we announced before, we are going to continue adding to the base game. That means new worlds, new Level Editor tweaks and improvements, new accessibility features, etc. are being worked on for regular A Dance of Fire and Ice as free content patches. 3. We're making a minor price change to the Neo Cosmos DLC. After receiving a lot of really positive feedback from players, and surprise at its price, we have decided to raise the price by $1 USD. If you already own the DLC, this doesn't affect you at all! You don't have to pay anything extra. Thank you for supporting the DLC so early. Consider the earlier price just a "super Launch Discount!" The sales of Neo Cosmos have allowed us to dedicate the time to adding new stuff to it in the future, so we're really grateful for your support and your interest. There's more to come! That's all for now! Thanks for playing, and check out the Neo Cosmos Soundtrack if you want to take the songs with you everywhere you go! Neo Cosmos FAQ
Q: Who made Neo Cosmos? A: Neo Cosmos is directed by TaroNuke, with help from the 7th Beat Games team. We all worked on it together, but it deserves a huge thank-you to Taro for coming up with the ideas, story, and levels. Thank you Taro! It also includes great character art from two artists, SUPERCOMPUTATION and electr1ca. Q: How difficult is Neo Cosmos? A: It has some new surprises, so that answer will be different for each player! We recommend that you at least try playing the main 12 Worlds of A Dance of Fire and Ice before playing Neo Cosmos. We like how it feels as an extension after playing those, but the DLC does not require that you beat those levels to play it, so don't worry! Q: Do I need to unlock Neo Cosmos? A: If you've purchased the Neo Cosmos DLC, the only thing you need to do to unlock the new content is to complete World 1 (and the boss level 1-X) from the beginning of the game. You probably have it unlocked already! Q: Is the Neo Cosmos DLC needed to play Steam Workshop levels that use special Neo Cosmos Level Editor events? A: Yes, owning the Neo Cosmos DLC is required to create or play custom levels that use the new Neo Cosmos Level Editor events. Q: Will the Neo Cosmos content come to mobile? A: Yes, eventually! We are still working on it, so it might take a while for the mobile version to be updated. We can't really confirm anything else about the mobile version yet. Thank you for understanding! Q: Will A Dance of Fire and Ice, the base game, still receive free updates? A: Yes! The base game will be treated separately, and will still receive free updates, such as levels and level editor improvements. Q: Us the Neo Cosmos soundtrack available to purchase? A: Yes! You can get the soundtrack on Steam or Bandcamp! We hope you enjoy the DLC! We had a lot of fun playing it ourselves. Ever since we launched A Dance of Fire and Ice, we've been surprised over and over again with how many different ways there are for creators to explore new rhythms and new game concepts. The game has evolved a lot since it first launched. Thank you for playing, and let us know what you think of the new levels! Version 1.15.0 release notes
3-Year Anniversary Update
Its hard for us to believe that its already the 3rd Anniversary of launching A Dance of Fire and Ice on Steam, but here we are. Time has flown by, and we continue to be surprised and honored by the positive feedback weve seen from players about our simple rhythm game. We really appreciate everyone who has played the game, whether youve mastered the skills on your own, shared your scores with friends, or streamed yourself marathoning 6-X until you finally got it right. To celebrate the 3-Year Anniversary, weve got a few additions to the game this week! Here's our full changelog if you prefer not to miss every single detail.
Collaboration with Rhythm Journey
New World: Fear Grows, with music by Linky Recently we became fans of a new indie rhythm game, Rhythm Journey. It's a game inspired by ADOFAI on the surface (with tutorial levels for each song, speed trials, one-hit death etc), but actually tackles a different aspect of rhythm theory! It's focused on teaching you different kick and snare rhythms on the drums, so it uses two buttons instead of one. Each song is written to teach you a unique rhythm, from ghost notes to swing notes to fun drum fills. We at 7th Beat Games are all about unique rhythm mechanics so we love it. Not enough people are playing this game, so now we're doing a collab so that more of you will check it out. The new world, RJ, has a special one-time gimmick that's a nod to their game's mechanic, guess what it is Thanks to Linky, the musician of Rhythm Journey for supplying the song and also making all the tutorial tracks! New Options: Practice and No Fail Modes
Were introduced two new options for helping players learn levels theyre stuck on. Practice Mode: With the Practice Mode option toggled on, you can practice a segment of a level that youve failed on. After you lose, press the P key before respawning to trigger Practice Mode. This will give you a chance to practice the segment of the song that youre stuck on. You can exit Practice Mode in the Pause Menu. This feature can be used on both official levels and custom community levels. No Fail Mode: No Fail Mode is an option you can use while playing custom community levels. This No Fail option allows you to continue to the next tile even if you miss it, and it disables Overloading. When you finish the level, the Results Screen will display info about your misses if you have the Detailed Results option toggled on. In a way, its like playing the custom level with Invincibility. We hope this is useful for learning really difficult custom levels, or having the option to enjoy the full song even if you cannot complete the level on your own. You can enable No Fail mode in the Custom Level Editor by clicking the armor icon in the bottom right corner. You can also toggle it in the Custom Level Select menu by pressing the N key. An icon will display in the corner while you play, indicating that you are playing with No Fail mode on.
New: Featured Levels
In the years since the games launch onto Steam, we have seen really incredible work done by the community with the custom level editor. Knowing that some players might not search through Steam Workshop to find these creations, we decided we wanted to find a way to highlight them and add them to the game for everyone to enjoy. We reached out to the original musicians and the level creators and will now begin adding a few of our favorites to the game! This way, even users who dont search through Steam Workshop can easily find these levels we enjoyed. You can now find these levels by heading to the Custom Level Select and entering the Featured Levels section. We will update this section with more levels periodically throughout the year, so you will hear from us again on more favorites weve been playing. Nichipe will be joining us in handling the search and curation for custom Featured Levels. He has played over a thousand ADOFAI levels, and has a great Youtube channel where he tries out and discusses great levels each year, so working together has been a natural fit. Thank you, Nichipe! We also plan to add these levels to the iOS and Android versions of A Dance of Fire and Ice in the future, allowing mobile players to also enjoy them. Our first few Featured Levels are: Final Phase, music by Plum, level design by Daming Barrage, music by Halv, level design by NumbEr07 Make It Funky Now, music by DOT96, level design by PizzaLovers007
Coming Soon: Neo Cosmos
In case you missed it, were working on an expansion to A Dance of Fire and Ice! Its called Neo Cosmos, and its directed by TaroNuke, creator of NotITG and UKSRT! It features a new set of levels, and a few gameplay surprises. Were still working hard on it, but we do have a teaser to share [previewyoutube=fMwmiGOxSh0;full][/previewyoutube] Neo Cosmos will be a paid DLC, but free updates will continue to be added to the base game A Dance of Fire and Ice even after its out. Thanks for playing, and thanks for all the incredible feedback on Steam, Twitter, and Discord over the past three years. We still have more plans for A Dance of Fire and Ice, and were excited to keep working on them. Thank you for coming on this journey with us! Steam Workshop support is here! Visit our Workshop to easily browse custom levels made by the community. Download a level youd like to play by clicking the green Subscribe button, then the level will appear in the Custom Level Select section of the games main menu. If youre looking for some great levels to start with, try the levels that rank high in the Most Subscribed tab or levels tagged with the Easy or Medium difficulty. Another great place to start is to download the levels from the RDL Constellations collection, which is a set of levels recommended by the moderator staff on our Discord Server. A new Xtra level, Rose Garden, has been added! The song is by RoDy.cOde, and the level is created by hotduck, LUMI, and NumbEr07. Test your skills with sharp triangle turns in an elegant floating garden. New difficult levels have been added in a new location, Crown Island, with: One Forgotten Night, with music by Quree and level design by Star4th. Options, with music by Frums. This level was inspired by a level created by PowerFactory. New features:
- Steam Workshop + Custom Level Select: Access the Custom Level Select in the main menu to play custom levels. You can browse through all of the levels you have subscribed to on our Steam Workshop page.
- Adjustments of default timing strictness for levels faster than 310 bpm. In ADOFAI, timing strictness is determined by the angles the planets make to the tiles, so the game becomes stricter as the planets move faster. This used to happen up to a cap of 500 bpm. After the cap, the timing doesnt get more strict. From this version onwards, the cap is now 310 bpm in Normal mode, and 500 bpm in Strict mode.
- Timing strictness option for fast levels: You can now change the timing strictness upon starting the level, if the level is above 310 bpm. Normal strictness will make any speeds above 310bpm have the same timing strictness as what it is at 310 bpm. Strict timing strictness raises that cap to 500 bpm. This change doesnt affect the difficulty of any past official levels, since all official levels in the game so far have been below 310 bpm. This change was done to enable more players to be able to experience faster custom levels. Experienced players can still use Strict mode to use the old timing strictness. Strictness is indicated in the bottom right of the screen. (The Red Otto symbol seen in the bottom-right corner of the screen in the previous versions of the game is the equivalent of Strict mode in the new version.)
- New Shortcuts: From the Level Select screen, press Ctrl+Shift+E (Command+Shift+E on Mac) to open the Level Editor and Ctrl+Shift+C (Command+Shift+C on Mac) to open the Custom Level Select screen.
- Crown Island: If youre looking for an even harder challenge, a new post-game set of levels will be unlocked for those who complete the bonus level B-X.
- The planets now have a sound effect when they explode. More sound effects coming soon, from our new sound designer s9menine! If you'd like to disable it, press Ctrl-Shift-D during a level or in the level select.
- Multiple hits: multiple keypresses in a single frame are now properly detected as multiple inputs, rather than the extra keypresses being dropped, so you no longer have to stagger your inputs when there are hits very close to each other. These are only allowed for singular double-hits, not on long consecutive hits, so that you still cant cheese them by playing them at half-speed with two keys per hit, e.g. 123412341234 being played as [12][34][12][34].
- Editor Position Offset indicator lines now have an animated dotted line that indicates the direction of the connection
- Editor Floor Number markings (Ctrl+F on Windows, Command+F on Mac) and Position Offset line indicators now respawn on exiting the editor playback mode
- Color Picker: You can now set the color properties in the Editor by using a Color Picker to set the color. No more Hex Codes needed!
- Planet Decorations: Set decorations to be anchored to the movement of the planets themselves, so that the decorations will travel with them.

Version 1.8.1 release notes
A new Xtra level, Credits, has been added! The song is by Frums, and the level design is by Exschwasion. Test your skills by surviving square-shaped paths and angled turns in a lo-fi digital world. New editor features:
- Checkpoints: You can now add a checkpoint into your custom level! Players will start from this tile upon failing the level.
Version 1.7.0 release notes
World 12, Artificial Chariot, has been added! The song is by Riya, of Butterfly Planet fame, and the level design is by SimsimHI. Test your skills with navigating tight turns and evading robotic goat drones!
New features:
- Planet Colors: You can now choose new planet colors in the main area of the level select menu. You unlock the colors by completing the first six worlds. If you unlocked the Golden Planets for mastering the game, you can toggle them on and off by using this feature. Customize your planets with different color combinations!
- Xtra Levels: On the main menu, you can now travel to an island of extra bonus levels after you complete World 6. The levels in this section are not a part of the main progression of levels to beat the game. They don't have individual achievements tied to beating them. They will sometimes have hand-drawn art assets, they sometimes wont. They sometimes have tutorials, they sometimes don't. Theyre just extra levels to play, of a wide variety of difficulty levels. More levels will be added to this section in the future.
New editor features:
- Moving track chunks: Select a tile, then hold Alt while clicking to drag selected track areas to different places! This is for the level creators use only, and is useful for visually untangling overlapping track segments. It has no effect on the gameplay. Moving a track piece close to another tile will snap them together. This works well in conjunction with Shift+Left/Right and CTRL+Shift+Left/Right for more precise area selections 5 new visual filters: Static, Film Grain, Motion Blur, Fisheye, and Funk
- Orbit Easing: A new setting allows you to separate the orbits easing speed into multiple parts
- Tile Numbering: Press Ctrl+F to display numbers on your tiles while you edit the track
Improvements and bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug where you would continue to hear the sound effects of the track play after you lose
- Various game and level editor bug fixes
Version 1.6.0 release notes
World 11, Heracles, has been added! The song is by the musician Yooh , whose music you might have heard in other rhythm games like SOUND VOLTEX. The level design is by Exschwasion, with tutorial tracks contributed by Riya. Test your skills with a variety of track shapes in this high-energy, high-tempo battle. New level editor features:
- Decorations: You can now Add or Move Decoration events. This allows you to upload images and place them throughout the level, separate from the background layer
- Orbit Easing: Set Orbit Ease level settings or events. Now the planets can rotate with a little more customization between notes
- Two New Track Styles: Neon Light and Gems
- Undo and Redo: Use Ctrl-Z and Ctrl-Y to undo and redo your changes in the editor
- You can use F5 and F7 keys to make Pentagons and Heptagons in the level editor (There may be a few bugs with this for now)
- You can now lock the Rotation property for backgrounds, so that they dont rotate during the level
- Improved scrubbing for Move Tiles event
- Tile icon black outline bug fixed

Version 1.4.0 release notes
- World 9, 'Classic Pursuit', has been added! The song is by the musician cYsmix, and the level design is by Aratonati. Test your skills with tight corners while escaping an alien invasion!
- New custom background options: Now you can make custom backgrounds loop, or even have a parallax effect! Set backgrounds to tiled for funky repeating patterns, or set them to unscaled and set the size of the background yourself, allowing you to make sprawling landscapes that you can explore throughout your level!
- Camera settings: Now you can set the camera at the very start of the level! Want a cinematic angle right off the bat for your favorite action movie song? Well go ahead and make it a reality!
- Color and animate track events: The Change Track event has been replaced with two new events: Color Track and Animate Track. Youll be able to do the same things youve always been able to do with the original Change Track event, but now you dont have to worry about managing a single gargantuan event each time!
- New track color options: Now you can add a pulse effect to animated track color types (glow, etc.), letting you make cool waves of color that move throughout your level. Speaking of animated track color types, theres now a few more you can play around with; Blink and Switch color types will give you plenty to experiment with! Tip: Set pulse length to 2 for a fun disco pattern!
- Recolor track event: Introducing Recolor Track! This will allow you to change the color - and even the style - of a section of track, right in the middle of your level! Now you can do cool effects, like changing the color of the whole track to fit the mood at different points in a song, among other things. See what cool things you can come up with!
- Set filter event: Introducing Set Filter! This lets you add all kinds of cool filters to your level. Make the game look like its on an old 80s TV, or like its on an arcade machine, or add some rain, or even make it look like a pencil drawing! You can even add several filters at once! VHS recording in a blizzard? Yep!
- Hall of mirrors events: Introducing Hall of Mirrors! Have you ever won Windows Solitaire? Well add a little of that fun card-snake magic to your level! It might look a bit weird on its own, but try combining it with background flashes, or even some filters!
- Shortcuts panel: Dont know how to use the fancy keyboard shortcuts needed to use some of the editors features? Just press ctrl + H - or click Help in the file actions panel, to get a handy little panel telling you all the shortcuts youll need to know. Now youre creating with power!
- Editor: fixed possible desync when starting in the middle of a level (thanks Nichipe!)
- Editor: starting in the middle of a level with large offset no longer adds an extra long delay before starting
- Midnight Train can keep up with the planets during Speed Trials
- Added swirl arrows to Spin 2 Win
- Added portal art for bonus stage
- World name is now localised

Future
We are continuing to work on new worlds that explore new track shapes, as well as working on small additions and changes for the Level Editor. We're a small team, so we appreciate your patience. We will have a new world for you to play later this summer. Thank you for playing! And thank you again for the very kind Steam reviews. You can play hundreds of custom levels created by other players by downloading them from our Discord. Discord: https://discord.gg/rhythmdr Twitter: twitter.com/adofai
Hello! It's been a little while, but we've been pretty busy working on new versions and features for the game. First of all, the game now has a level editor! We know there's been a lot of requests for the ability to make your own custom levels of any song you want, so now you can.
Aside from that, you can now find the game on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store! The iPhone and Android versions have been adjusted to match the art of the Steam version. Have fun!
Version 1.1.3 Patch Notes
We've implemented a few changes and tweaks to the game, mostly for optimization. Here's a list of them: Features:
- Custom Level Editor: You can now upload a .mp3 or .ogg file and create your own level for it. You can find the editor by moving to the left on the Level Select menu. We wanted to create a simple and intuitive system, so you can create the shape of the track really quickly using your keyboard. Saving your level will save it as a .adofai file, which you can share with friends. We look forward to seeing what people can do with our game mechanics!
- Play Custom Levels: If you'd like to play a custom level that someone else has made, download their .adofai file along with the audio file in the same folder, and then open the .adofai file using the in-game Custom Level Editor. Now you can play it yourself!
- Visual changes: We've remastered and re-optimized some of our visual assets. Most of the changes are small, but they're most notable in the level 1-X.
- Adjusted audio issue on level 4-1.
- Minor bug fixes and adjustments.
Future
Due to the expanded scope of the game, especially supporting the Level Editor and playable custom levels, we are increasing the price on Steam to be $3.99 USD. We feel that this is a better match for the size of the game. The change will occur on Friday, May 10th. You can still get the game this week, before then, at the old price. Thank you for understanding! Now that we've finished these graphics remasters and released the level editor, we can focus on working on free additional levels. We've got a few ideas in mind, so thank you for your patience as we finish the levels! And thanks again for all the very kind Steam reviews, it means a lot to us. We will update you on here and on our Twitter/Discord when the first additional world is added to the game. You can also hang out with the 2000+ members of our Discord, and see what levels they've come up with using the Custom Level Editor. And if you encounter any bugs, let us know! We've just released our soundtrack! It includes the 7 main tracks of the game. It also includes a few bonus things, including a thank-you, a set of "tips and tricks" maps (think of it as borrowing a Strategy Guide from your neighbor), and a little secret hidden within the files. You can find and purchase the OST here! Also available on Bandcamp for streaming or purchase.

Press on every beat of the music to move in a line.
Every pattern has its own rhythm to it. It can get difficult. This game is purely based on rhythm, so use your ears more than your sight.
Note that it is quite strict and unforgiving, so please play the online version here if you're not sure if this is for you! If you've played the Rhythm Heaven series - this is about as strict as that.
- Explore the cosmos: Soar through each genre of music in a variety of colorful fantasy landscapes.
- Predict every moment: With a track that shows you every rhythm ahead of time, you’ll learn to sight-read levels as they come. No tricks, and nothing is reaction-based.
- Play new levels for free: Tackle new songs and new rhythms as we expand the game with free level patches
- Steam Workshop Support: Create, share, and play countless user-made custom levels through our Workshop
- Calibrate your experience: Manually adjust your calibration on-the-fly, or use our auto-calibration method. The game is precisely timed, and you won’t experience any slow desync over time like you might with other music-based twitch games. (We’re musicians and off-sync games hurt us.)
