COVEN - Summer 2023 Demo Update

I recently released a demo update for a bundle with 2 other games on itch: https://itch.io/b/1977/the-dark-and-gory-shooter-bundle The demo bundle features demos for COVEN, KVLT and DARKENSTEIN 3D. So now I'm bringing the update across to Steam. Updates: - A new level - Old levels have been updated both visually and in terms of gameplay (enemy placement, secrets etc) - Dual-wield magic and weapons - Necronomicon and spell additions - New level select menu (allows you to replay previously finished levels with weapons/unlocks) - Full body presence (look down and see witchy toes) - Dark sight/secret improvements - New enemy animations - Numerous bug fixes - Improved performance

    • Coven is a fast-paced retro fps/slasher which is heavily inspired by classic fps games such as Blood, Hexen, Unreal and Timesplitters.

    In the first episode you take on the role of a young girl in the 1600's who is wrongly accused of witchcraft and is burned at the stake. She's resurrected by an unknown force and seeks revenge.

    In the first episode:
    - Utilize an explosive mix of early modern period weaponry and magic
    - Movement is key - dash, slide, teleport and slow down time in order to survive
    - Eat the flesh of the newly deceased to regain health so you may continue on your path of rigorous vengeance
    - Explore villages, temples, forests and cities to uncover the secrets of the old gods
    - Slammin' tunes by John S. Weekley aka Primeval

    More episodes will release during early access. Each set in a unique time period.
