ABOUT THE PLAYTEST

\r\nBefore we dive into the full details, we invite you to watch the trailer released specifically for the start of playtest sign-ups. \r\nWere also delighted to announce that weve been selected for The Winter OTK Games Expo - a major event for indie developers. The expo kicks off on November 22.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

WHAT AWAITS PLAYTESTERS

\r\n\r\nYoull be able to experience:\r\n- The first chapter of the Undead campaign, led by the Chaos Lord introducing the story and core gameplay mechanics. \r\n- The Skirmish mode (previously unavailable in the demo version). \r\n- 3 playable factions (Humans, Undead, Inquisition) out of 9 planned in total (1 in the campaign + 2 in Skirmish mode). \r\n- Full animations for all units, dialogue portraits, and castles. \r\n- The ability to share your feedback via a Google Form. \r\n- Two Steam achievements. \r\n- Exclusive rewards for playtest participants.\r\n\r\n

EXCLUSIVE REWARDS

\r\nBy participating in the playtest and completing specific objectives, each player will be able to unlock unique equipment for their units. \r\nThese rewards will be granted in the full game once all conditions are met. Lets take a closer look:\r\n\r\nFirst reward - an enhanced axe for your Zombie unit. It significantly boosts its starting damage. By default, you cannot purchase it in the shop at the beginning of the game. However, dont worry - it becomes available later in the campaign once youve collected the required resources. This reward simply grants early access to equipping the Zombie unit with the axe.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSecond reward - an improved healing potion. It restores significantly more health and is a unique consumable item. This potion is available only to playtest participants and is single-use.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThese rewards will be especially valuable for players who enjoy higher difficulty levels.\r\n\r\nConditions for earning the rewards: \r\n- Add the game to your Wishlist. \r\n- Follow the publisher on Steam: Valkyrie Initiative \r\n- Earn the Steam achievement \"Strategist\" during the playtest.\r\n\r\nTo unlock the \"Strategist\" achievement, you must complete the campaign content available in the playtest without losing a single unit - on any difficulty.\r\n\r\n

The playtest is scheduled for Q1 2026.
