Hi everyone, Today we're launching the Stunt Derby demo and will be patching/updating it as the week continues. I wanted to post a quick FAQ that goes over the basics and details the controls. So let's jump in.

Demo Overview

The demo is largely focused around multiplayer but we do have a small single player componant to practice in. "DRIVE" will send you our test level and allow you to test out the three cars in manual or automatic either solo or against 20 or 100 bot cars. It's a three lap race. HOST will allow you to create your own race from a selection of pre-made levels. You can also chose to broadcast this to the internet which allows people to join. JOIN opens the server browser showing current online games. REPLAY opens our replay system (controls listed below) and EDITOR opens the track editor.

How do the Game Modes Work?

Team Relay is our core mode. In it you and your teammates have to complete 3 laps hitting every checkpoint on the way. However only one of your team needs to drive through a checkpoint for it to count for the whole team. This means that when one car is racing, the other team members are free to crash / block / skip ahead to their hearts content. In Tag the Leader you score points by being the first through any checkpoint with a flag. To get the flag you have to touch somebody who has it to steal there's. Once you do, drive to the next checkpoint to start accumulating points. 10 points per checkpoint, and double if you're driving in a van. Special points go to flag carriers who cross the start/finish line first. It's 50 for the first two laps and a whopping 100 points for the final time across the line. So it's not over 'till it's over! Race mode is just regular racing. Boring! But people asked for it.
