This is the first major update for Matrix Hearts!

The In-Game ZippyApp brings you a phone that you can play throughout the game. You are prompted in-game that you have new Texts and ZippyApps waiting for you. A phone icon then appears, and that's how you get to the adventure! Texts your friends. Flirt and comment on ZippyApps in the game. It's up to you! Your interactions bring you closer to the woman of Zippyzinc.

Thank you for your patience. It has been a long swim through the ocean to get this perfect, and now that it is, it can be used in every new chapter going forward for Season Two!

Now that this update is in the ocean, the next one you can look forward to is a little update to improve a few dialogue choices, a couple images that gotta be fixed, and adding a feature to the ZippyApp that lets you click on the image to get a full screen view of the awesomeness. I am also adding an animated main menu to the game! You can expect this update next month. Then it's onto the next major update for the game.

If you were waiting to play Matrix Hearts, now's your chance!

For an entire week, August 14th-21st, you can enjoy the game at 15% off the regular price. This is the first official discount for the game since it was launched, because I wanted to wait when there were a few patches.

The next update is going to be a big one, the in-game phone integration. You can navigate, text, and go on the Zippyapp to talk with and comment on the pictures of the locals of Zippyzinc. It's like Instagram with boobs.

Matrix Hearts is an adult Visual Novel about romance, comedy, and choice. Play in the shoes of a former Olympic rock-climber as he moves to a tropical island where he may be able to climb to the top once again.

Ello Otters!

The new patch for Matrix Hearts is in the ocean! This begins the animation refresh for the game, which includes increasing the quality and framerate of the animations starting in Chapter 3. There is a new animator coming with even more incredible skills, so we are going to be moving to better animations. I work on everything in this game aside from crazy programming like the gallery or the animations. I render them, but another otter goes in and uses my graphics to make the animation.

You can find a new animation with Layla once you come home from the arcade. I am going to keep rolling out these new animations over the next month, so if you have an update for the game, that's why! Anyway, there are quite a few updates for this patch.

+Layla's, Gemma's, and Xia's routes have now been fixed with the correct number of Hearts
+All achievements are now achievable
+Fixed a few variable triggers on the routes to ensure they won't cause any issues playing
+A few grammatical fixes
+Added the Chapter 3 music to the Otter Tunes
+You can now name your bird if you chose to be its master! You name it when you are with Rylee in Chapter 3

I had also planned to add Steam trading cards to this update, but Steam wants Trading Cards, Emoticons, and Backgrounds all completed before it is going to launch and the game needs Emoticons and more Backgrounds. I am working on those now!

The next update is a Major Update! It is going to be the in-game phone integration which you can play through in all chapters. You can text, browse the ZippyApp, and more! That is coming later next month-ish.

There is plenty more ocean coming, and it's going to be otterly-awesome. I hope you enjoy playing Matrix Hearts!

Ello Otters!

I am happy to announce that Chapter 4 of Matrix Hearts is fully written, and I am working on programming! And while I am working on the next season of the game, we also have updates to work toward for this current season.

The animation refresh was supposed to launch this afternoon, but there were a few things that we realized we had to fix.

+While no one had noticed the issue, there is a huge one that involves not being able to name your bird if you are on that route. I could have fixed this without telling anyone, but that's not the Otter way!

+The current heart route with Layla and the route with Xia needs a slight rework. The hearts aren't adding up to correct paths and achievements, and we want to fix these because, you know, romance game, romance girls.

I could have waited for the in-game phone update, but it felt more appropriate to fix these as soon as possible, so this update feels like the best. There is going to be a light push to August 12th (ish) for the release of the update to include these otterly-amazing things.

And if you want otterly-amazing, Steam cards are coming on the 12th as well featuring anime graphics for your favorite girls!

Ello Otters!

Thank you from the ocean in our hearts for playing Matrix Hearts! We have officially been launched a month now, and it has been an amazing whirlwind. But the game isn't fully complete yet! There are a few things I wanted to add to Season 1 that hadn't been worked in yet. There are plenty of otter-ly awesome things coming to Matrix Hearts!

Coming this month is going to be the Animation Update. There are a few animations in the game that weren't quite as smooth and lewdzy as I wanted them. These all come in Chapter 3 because that is the Chapter that I, the Main Otter, began the art and animation for the game as well. There are a few animations that I want to make better and a few animations I want to add as well! Making the game as polished as possible is the ultimate goal.

Either with this update or the next is going to be the inclusion of the ZippyApp feature in-game. It's a phone you can navigate, browse, text, and get extra lewdz based on your choices! This was a bit above my programming skills at the time but is now being worked on. The big feature is the ZippyApp, which is the social media platform for the island of Zippyzinc. You get more insight into the lives of the characters on the island and build even more of a relationship with them!

Coming next month is the Point and Click Update. You have already played through a few of these Point and Click Spheres in the game, where you get to click around for more stories with new characters. We hadn't included any in Chapter 3 because I wanted input from you, our fans, on where you would like to adventure more in that chapter. This is going to include more renders, animations, and even more story for the game!

There's Steam content coming as well! The game has already been approved for Steam Cards and all the cool things I can add to the game for Steam. These are coming as soon as they are complete. I am going to work my little paws to make certain they are unique and worth collecting. I have been thinking of not going with traditional game art for a few of them and using cartoon/anime graphics. The fans of the game can have their input as to what kind of cards they would like for the game! The profile banners are probably going to use our in-game engine, but the cards can be as unique as we want them to be!

Being an otter means being adorable but also making the best possible game we can. And next is Season Two! I have already begun writing and programming the next three chapters, and while it's going to be a bit, you can keep your tails excited about what's coming next. There's a few more surprises in this ocean, but we are going to keep those on the boat for now. It began with a dream and is now a reality, with Matrix Hearts being played more than I ever thought possible! Thank you again. I can't wait to bring you more Matrix Hearts!

Ello Otters!

This is the first patch for Matrix Hearts! Here is the full list of fixed issues for the game:

+The game now runs on both Mac and Linux
+Fixed the image issue with the Otterly Ultimate screen when talking with Xia
+Fixed the character issue when clicking on a few of the Point and Click Otter Hunt images
+Patched the Otter Replay gallery that wouldn't go to page 3

These were the most important things we wanted to fix for players! Going forward, we have plenty of other things we want to add to the game. We are going to have a more in-depth blog about what features we are going to add to the game later on, which includes the integrated phone, a few more point and click spheres, and more animations.

We have officially made it to the 9th! Matrix Hearts is ready to play. Right now, we are waiting on Steam because there was a new Mature Content Survey that needed to be filled out, and we had filled out the old one a long time ago.

As soon as they approve it, we are going to be ready to launch. We are excited for you to play and can't wait for more otters to enjoy Matrix Hearts!

Hello Everyone!

We wanted to give you a quick little update on the upcoming release of Matrix Hearts! The game is almost complete, but we had to make a tiny adjustment to the release date. There has been a soft push of a month on the release.

While the main build of the game is going to be finished on time, there is one thing we have to play it safe for: animations. Matrix Hearts is built entirely in house by one Otter! That was the main reason for the first delay, because the writer took over for the artist as well. The only thing that isn't included in that are animations, which are outsourced to another artist. The animations haven't been completed as fast as we wanted, and while the main build of the game is going to be ready, these animations might not, and we don't want to release a product that isn't 100% complete. This little push allows us time to make certain that the animations are completed, and in the game, while giving Steam time to verify the final build of our game.

We know another month might be a long time, but we promise this is the release. Everything has to be perfect, as this is our first game, and making the best first impression is what our little paws and hearts want.

Keep in mind, this game is currently a work in progress, but the version you get for each season is the polished product. The first release, Season 1, contains three chapters of the game with about 4-7 hours of gameplay.

We can't wait for you to play Matrix Hearts. It's going to be Otterly-amazing!

Hello Everyone!

We are Blue Otter Games, and we are excited to have our game Matrix Hearts release on Steam! We originally planned to have it release this month, but because we changed graphic engines from Cinema4D to Daz Studio for Chapter 3, we had to render and work on images to make certain they were perfect.

Our new release is May 8th, 2023! We are very confident we can get on or at least around that date, even if in the month of May. We want to release the best possible version of the game, and the one we are working on now is going to blow you out of the water.

The official price for Season 1 is $9.99, and we are working on a discount for all the awesome otters who pre-order before May 8th.
