Niflheim Beta

Hello hello! Nice to see you two times this week! Niflheim Beta Today we are so happy to release the 7th Realm on Beta mode: Niflheim! This is the realm where everything started. Its deep layers of ice make it the coldest realm on Norse mythology. You will meet Auumbla, the Primal Cow, one of the first beings ever created. Also meet Buri, the first of Gods and grandfather to Odin.
Were gonna swap two final bosses While developing the game, we thought Ymir would fit great on Jotunheim, as he was the father of giants. However, Ymir is also the first being that ever existed. And thats why we are going to swap things around and make him the final boss on Niflheim. But, what about Jotunheim then? We decided to ask Jr, Thors mom if she would like to defend her realm, and she proudly accepted. So, in this update, you will fight Jr as final boss on Niflheim to test her strength on the Beta. In a few weeks we will swap Ymir and Jord so everything makes sense and players dont feel that confused with this change. We hope we explained ourselves! Let us know what you think about the Beta! How to access the Beta?


REMEMBER: To play the beta, you will need to have purchased Nordic Ashes previously. [olist]
  • Open the Steam application.
  • Go to the Steam library and select Nordic Ashes.
  • Right click on it and select Properties.
  • A panel will open, select the Beta option.
  • Enter the following code: NordicAshesBeta
  • Click the button to verify that it is correct.
  • If everything is OK, you will have the Beta option in the drop-down menu. Select it and the game will be updated. [/olist]

  • Keep in mind that this is a Beta and therefore it may contain bugs and balancing issues.
  • The purpose of the Beta is that you have access to an early version of the game, so you can help us to fix bugs, balance the game and give suggestions.
  • The Betas last for a certain period of time. We will release them as new updates are released. This particular one will be open for 1 week.
  • There is a specific discussion for beta feedback in Steam.
  • The Beta progress will be saved in your actual account.
  • You can unlock the Steam achievements already published, but the new ones that will be released will not be available. However, once the Beta version is released, you will receive all achievements you have already earned.
  • You may upload or stream Beta content if you wish. However, please add a disclaimer to your videos/streams to announce that it is the Beta you are playing, not the public version of the game.

    Nordic Ashes: Survivors of Ragnarok, is a Norse themed Roguelike enemy hell game, where you’ll have to survive hordes of creatures that come your way.


    Fight all sorts of beasts, from basic creatures to Elite monsters and Epic bosses with their own IA. Don’t be fooled, even minions can be pretty dangerous!


    Unlock new weapons and abilities as you battle. Upgrade your characters’ stats with Constellation Ability Trees and slay your enemies before they surround you, or it may be too late…



    After Ragnarok, Yggdrasil, the World Tree, lost almost all of its energy to sustain the Nine Realms. Only a few heroes survived the End of the World. In this Technical Demo you’ll play as Axeldör, a Norse berserker, Thyra a fierce hunter, and Hafgrim, a master of the elements. Wield a legendary sword, or maybe conjure ancient fire to slay all the enemies that have reached your realm to conquer its remains.



    Design different builds and make each run different by using the Constellation Ability Trees to upgrade your damage, area, cooldown and many more stats during each run.
