Hey there, it's a brand new beta today! As usual, I've been working hard for the past month (ahem) writing, editing, and improving all the things to continue the remake of Her Heart's Desire. This edition is a little different in that there are no new animated scenes - but there will be next time, and even more as we get closer & closer to wrapping up the remake, and there were four animations early in the game that have been remade for this update with higher quality images and movement. What's in this edition?

• Nine thousand words of new story
• 416 new images, as well as four remade animations from the first animated scene in the game
• Brand new menu (similar to the prior production version)
• Revamped characters page, accessible via the new Stats link in the upper left, in addition to redone character images for that section versus the previous edition of the game.
• Renaming feature / change the customization in game via the character profile pages for Daisy, Lily, or Rose.

Hey there, we're back! The latest edition of the Her Heart's Desire remake, 1.5, launches today after a month of hard work writing, rendering, and animating. So what's in the update?

• 7,400 words of new story
• 320 new images
• 29 new animations across two brand new sexy scenes
• 37 new music files and sound effects
• Scoring changes from the earlier game scenes based on some feedback in Discord
• Introducing two new never before seen characters in any version of the game, and Sara the coffee shop barista in a second job is introduced for the first time in the remake.
• Steam Deck compatibility? Maybe? I've also updated the code to see if we can make sure the Steam Keyboard shows up on the Deck which prevented the game from being functional, as well as updated the fonts used in the menu at the bottom of the screen.

Hey folks, we made it to Friday, it's the beginning of the weekend, and what better time to enjoy an awesome game update than the beginning of your time off from work - well, if you have a similar schedule as me, naturally. It's been a lot of time sitting in an uncomfortable chair, since my cat stole my good one, so I'm hopeful that despite the struggle, the update is as awesome or better than usual. Here's the scoop:

• Story continues with the 2nd day in the game and over twelve thousand words in this update
• 417 new images including Daisy, Rose, Lily, and a new character (to the beta) in her second job
• Multiple new locations that were never featured in the original game
• 39 new sound effects & music tracks, bringing the total to 310+ audio files (far more than the previous production game)
• 15 brand new animations
• Lots of new transitions (good, bad, or meh? You tell me) in both the earlier parts o the beta and the newest content.
• Audio, image, and other bug fixes from the beginning of the beta through to the newest content, with a few dozen edits overall.

Happy Friday! Due to some conflicting dates on my calendar, I'm shipping the beta 1.3 earlier than planned this month, but rest assured, for less than three weeks, it's got a lot more content than I used to create in two months. So what's new?

• Six thousand words of new story, bringing the total to about 41 thousand, six hundred words - we're now over a third of the way done, and some portions in the later updates should be faster as they'll have less rework, I think.
• 297 new images (some are remakes from the current production edition, some are brand new).
• 14 brand new animations (13 of those are a remake of the previous Jen + MC scene in the bathroom) one is a surprise as part of a scene that was not in the current edition
• 31 new music and sound effects files, which brings the total to 276 - finally, more audio than anything else I've ever done. I'm particularly proud of this one.
• At least one spelling and grammar fix from the previous 1.2, and hopefully less bugs than last time ;)

Hey fam, thanks for tuning in to Big Chungus Productions. We've got another hot one for you, and if I do say so myself, the newest Her Heart's Desire beta is my best work yet. So what's new?

• 550 new images (all new, nothing re-used from the current production game), and combined with the previous beta, there now 1,449 images in the remake. That's more a lot more than thirty percent of the current completed game.
• 19 new animations, these include a remake of a scene in the current game, as well as a new goodbye kiss that's one of my longest animations so far (almost 8 seconds), and a brand new scene as voted on by supporters in a recent poll.
• 83 new sound effect & music files - the total for this remake is now at 245, which is just shy of what's in Milfy Cases. I think you'll enjoy the audio even more than usual this time around - or not, but I'm optimistic.
• All new 11,400 words of story, some of which is a rewrite of the current game, and some for new scenes was written from scratch. The total in the remake is now just over 33,400 words, which is only ~6K words short of the latest Milfy Cases update before I paused development on that title to remake HHD.
• Revamped office scene with Elizabeth, Tricia, and Eric - I've used a few new techniques, some new Renpy transitions, and more to make something that I consider some of my best work yet.

Howdy! Today, I've got something special for you, the first edition of the remake for Her Heart's Desire. Before I go and finish everything, I wanted to share the initial first episode as a beta (English only, for now) and collect feedback. What's in the remake Her Heart's Desire 1.1 edition?

• 700+ new images, and just shy of 900 images in total.

Hi all- Thanks for your interest in Her Heart's Desire! By special request, I've added a new feature to the preferences page to enable players to change the opacity in the image for the text in the game. This way, instead of having low contrast on some scenes, you get to choose how dark, or transparent, the background image is while playing. Cheers, Brosef Chungus

Hey all, this is the holiday "let's make it even more awesome," update. There isn't much for spelling (only two minor issues I found) and there was the heartbeat sound that I've swapped out for a premium asset which is far better. Last but not least, it's almost 3 gigabytes lighter since now nearly all the image frame animation has been swapped out for video animations in webm. This ensures playback is buttery smooth in all the scenes, and makes the overall gameplay infinitely better. Happy Holidays from Big Chungus Productions (that's me), Brosef Chungus. Cheers.

No other changes to the game, only for French language selection will you see changes.

Reported earlier today in the discussions, the dialogue had Daisy instead of the main character as the speaker in the day3evening file. Thanks for the report.

If you read the discussion, you'll see me saying, "We'll find another bug next year," it happened faster than I expected, and there's a reason I'll never post something like that again, because you have to be careful what you wish for. Thanks for the report, and I hope this fixes all the issues for that particular feature. Impacts English language version only.

Since somebody asked, here you go, a Dutch version too.

I've added Italian, Turkish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian translations to the game. For English speakers, no new changes. Please enjoy.

Multiple issues with the rename feature in the game reported in the discussions here, only impacts the English language version. Thank you very much for the report.

English version is the only one that didn't have any changes or updates, each of the machine translated versions had a bug (or a few) which have been fixed, French in particular you couldn't save, Spanish had some encoding issues, same with both Chinese versions, etc. Apologies for so many updates lately, I've been trying to make sure the game is fixed anytime I see or hear about something that's not functioning properly.

No other changes in this patch, only the new added French and Traditional Chinese translations.

Again, thanks to the same super helpful person from the Steam discussions here, I've updated all the text with the issues they highlighted, and then also updated the translations as well. Thanks again.

Per the Steam discussions, I've patched another bug, this one fixes a scene trigger on the third day evening with Lily that gave the wrong branch due to the requirements being unable to be met in game without hacking the code. Thanks again for all the help! If you see anything else I can improve, I'm happy to get it done.

What's special in the Harem Ever After update?

• Rewritten introduction, multiple other scenes as well, for clarity and quality. Every scene file was at least partially rewritten in this update to ensure the main character is always the narrator which reduces the potential confusion.
• Three new fully animated scenes, with more than 26 animations, some with 30, 40, or even 60 frames - yeah, I tried to push things & improve in that area too.
• Twenty plus new renders in my latest visual style, a significant upgrade to the previous styling in the game.
• 43 scenes in the replay feature, now when replaying a scene you can experience every scene the same way as it happened in the game.
• Compressed animations to shrink the game footprint from 7.7 gigabytes to just over 5 gigs; this includes the new content as well.
• Added character label & italics to all the lines where the main character was thinking, but it didn't have a label.
• Reworked sounds, the man laughing in particular, as well as others that didn't have the same high quality as the remainder.
• Customization has been simplified, enabling people who don't want to customize all the text to skip many questions in the game & focus on the story.

I've created trading cards, badges, emoticons, and special backgrounds for Her Heart's Desire to celebrate the two year anniversary since I began creating the game, and six months since the launch on Steam. Thanks for supporting Her Heart's Desire! I spent the last month going through and expanding the audio effects and music tracks, which is now complete. Also there are new image transitions on nearly everything in the game, and last but not least, this newest build today finishes the menu updates to ensure almost every time there is a choice in the game, there are three. Some new choices are good, some bad, some neutral. Please enjoy.

Audio, image transitions, and more have been improved now from the beginning of the game all the way to the ending. In total, there are nearly 140 audio files between sound effects and background music. Multiple new music tracks, as well as more choices in the game as well for the first day with Daisy. Bug fixes as well. The increase in size is due to a few new animations in the scene with Chef Naomi.

Updated license links for music since it seems the website is no more to point to the relevant creative commons license for each track. Updated in game audio, image transitions through day 6, only day 7 in game remains, about six text files left to edit mostly the harem & Daisy endings at this point are left and a small amount of other items.

Latest build has audio, image transition, and other fixes through day 6 evening / day 7 morning just before the scene with Rose and Lily (if you're on the harem path). If not, then the latest updates you'll see through sometime in day 6. About 15% of the game or less remains to be updated, which I'm working through quickly. Thanks for your support.

Updated audio through day 4 evening after date with Tricia in the library. There was a bug at the end of the date where you couldn't progress to the scene with Tricia and Elizabeth at their apartment, which may have prevented a threesome scene in the replay gallery from being available. That's now fixed.

Added audio improvements, image transitions, and more from day 3 afternoon to day 4 evening. The last modified scene was the threesome on day 4 with MC, Lily, and Dee, and the first scene without the new changes is the date with Tricia in the library. Thanks for your patience as I update everything, total audio files in the game is now double the 1.0 version.

Continues the audio edits and image transitions, adding another half dozen sound effects, re-engineered other sound effects, fixed grammar, spelling, and other odds & ends through day 3 afternoon, just before taking Daisy to visit the coffee shop. After that, the edits for new sound & image transitions have not yet been applied.

Based on feedback from players, I've added 35+ sound effects throughout the first few days in the story. Additionally, I've updated multiple bugs during the same period, added visual transitions, and fixed multiple issues of dialogue, grammar or other that weren't ideal. If the visual transitions and audio effects are successful, then I'll be working quickly to add those to the remaining two thirds of the game. As of the second day at night after the walk in the park with Rose, the newer sound effects finish. The door knock at the beginning of the first night Rose and Lily are in MC's house is the last of the current edits. Let me know what you think about the improvements.

Her Heart's Desire Bonus Edition launches soon with a massive increase in content for you to enjoy. There are multiple love interests that previously weren't a part of an animated scene with the main character, this update fixes that, and so much more.

• There is a new scene with Chef Naomi and Rose, while the other characters watch. If the MC chooses, he can skip going back home with the other tenants and have a lot of fun with Naomi & Rose. 20 new images and over 20 animations.
• Lois the bartender never got any love with the MC either; in this edition, in the bonus scene you can skip going back home after the date with Elizabeth, and keep flirting. 33 new images, and 14 animations. Vanessa and Sara, the two baristas in the coffee shop, kissed in front of the MC in the previous edition, but now, there's a whole new threesome scene with them. 25 new images, and 17 new animations.
• The harem ending with Dee, Lily, and Rose has been updated & expanded with 3 new images, and 9 new animations.
• For the new scenes, I had to mix new audio, so there are now 7 additional sound effects to accompany the new scenes above.
• Revamped the left menu, replacing the Replay & Gallery links with a single link that points to a combined page for Replay or Bonus content; this way, it's easier to navigate to your favorite characters to see their bonus content - or in the case of the three tenants, the slide shows that seem hard for some people to find.
• Tricia library scene with MC has multiple improved animations which were made by combining existing loops where the start frame was the same; it's improved compared to before, and plays much, much better.
• Lily & MC hotel scene near the end on day 6 also had improvements in multiple animations, resulting in longer, more interesting, and smoother movement. This was the same technique as the expansion & upgrade to the animations with Tricia in the library scene.
• Other miscellaneous two frame and other animation fixes in multiple places in the game.
• Last but not least, more story, with an additional five thousand words in the various new scenes.
