Fixed a glitch that stuck the player in a loop when dying off screen on the Highway Level (thanks to PolySteamgames from Twitter for discovering this glitch).
Corrected an issue that erroneously did not reset all data when using the 'Initialize' option in the Options Menu. Various tweaks and bug fixes.
Thank you for bearing with me as I go through the trials and tribulations of releasing and tightening up my very first game. I've gone through the game extensively to update and enhance the gameplay experience as best I could, based on feedback received both on Steam and elsewhere. The main updates are: - Edited Lovely Gauntlet boss fight to prevent bug that prevents the game from continuing upon winning the boss fight. - Edited graphical issue on Surf level causing the sky image in the background to reposition itself erroneously. - Edited [Final Boss] phases to make the overall fight less punishing. - Increased player's base health by 20% - Increased score multiplier to better enable High Score achievement - Edited a certain boss fight's ending for better narrative continuity. - Added extra information on the Tutorial Level. - Reprogrammed controls for better compatibility with multiple devices and gamepads. - Added Dash and Dash Jump (but not Dash Kick) to the list of invulnerable moves. Removed tooltip about Dash not being invulnerable. - Added a new mini-boss. I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to try my game and give me feedback. I hope to absorb this experience and make my next game project that much better.
Latest patch disabled playability on desktop. Rolled back for now.
(Attempted) Integration of Steam Achievements based on Construct 3 update.
Fixed an error with the save system that prevented the current level from updating properly.
- Fixed an error preventing the Kick Cannon command from working correctly. Holding Y on Gamepad / X on keyboard (with energy) should function normally now.
- Continues are no longer limited. The player can continue as many times as desired. No change to the functionality of the Game Over shop. - Fixed an issue with the Stalker enemy that sporadically prevented its sprite from being removed after its health was depleted. - Fixed a minor issue of the Dash Exhaust effect not spawning correctly. - Added boss names to their health gauges. - Fixed an issue that caused a certain boss' health to restore to full under rare circumstances.
- Fixed an issue where it was possible to get the player stuck inside level tiles when hitting a ceiling during a Dash Jump - Fixed an error on the Pause Menu's instructions. Incorrectly wrote "Z key to Select", now correctly says "Spacebar to Select" - Lowered the score threshold to obtain continues.
Fixed an error preventing unlock of final gallery image.
