Hey everyone! I've got some exciting news to share about the latest progress on Delivoo . The game has been evolving rapidly, and I'm thrilled to announce some major improvements and fresh content! Redesigned Architecture Our team has been hard at work behind the scenes, rebuilding Delivoos core architecture from the ground up . This overhaul means faster performance, smoother gameplay, and a more immersive experience overall. I've taken your feedback to heart and optimized everything to make sure the game runs like a well-oiled machine! . With this change, support for latest Unity SDK has been deeply integrated into Delivoo's save / load system, state management and timers (yes, there are a lot of timers involved in an ordering app). New Art Additions I've added stunning new pixel art to the game! From vibrant urban landscapes to detailed character sprites, every corner of Delivoo has received a visual glow-up . I've added new environments, more diverse NPCs, and a lot of small details that really bring the world to life. I cant wait for you to explore these new areas! Together with the art I've put my hands on, there are now 5 different districts of Peyter Town, with a planned number of 8, ranging from busy city center where the stadium, cinema and shopping mall is, to the serene countryside where farmers collect their autumn goods. As the season changes, I'm also incorporating some seasonal touches to celebrate Fall! Keep an eye out for cozy autumn vibes throughout the city, with colorful leaves and decorations, once the game releases . I will be posting new screenshots to the Steam page, so stay tuned for that. As always, thank you, from the bottom of my heart(h) for the stunning number of wishlists. I wish you and your families enjoy the cozy and warm Autumn vibes and remember to smile now and again.

Hello and happy new year! Not much time for posting articles just yet, but I am working on that. I am currently working on the backpack logic and graphics. It is a very complicated mechanic that I really want to nail so that it is satisfying and easy to interact with. I have great plans for 2024, so stay tuned for a year plan update coming soon. Thanks!
Still staying strong steamthis in 2023
First, I'd like to thank the people that wishlisted Delivoo in these past 6 months. It's been a rollercoaster of motivation and drive for me, as the solo developer of the game, but each time I logged into Steam to check the stats, my heart raced for every new increment of the wishlist count. Second, I am thankful for those of you who reached out, visited the website and the YouTube channel. The video got 1.5k views and one lovingly comment, which I simply adore. As someone that thought game development is pretty easy, it turns out the problem was not technical, but rather motivational, as it requires more creativity than technical expertise (as opposed to software development). Third, the reason why these first 5 months of 2023 were a bit silent was partly due to the fact that me and my family are building a house and partly due to me failing my promise of updating you weekly - which, in retrospect, is unrealistic given the workload and the fact that I am a single guy generating all this content - from graphics and mechanics in the game, to items, locations, quests, NPCs and dialogue, story, achievements and performance - writing updates on Steam and getting the graphics for them tops it all up and makes the glass overflow.
What will happen from now on
I'll hold back with my promises to you as I feel like I cheat you when overestimating my ability to generate all this content. I will post updates on Steam whenever I get the time for it and I feel like there's something major to showcase, I'll upload new videos on YouTube as soon as I get some part of the game fully polished and I'll post regular updates on the game's facebook page and Patreon. I have a concise plan of schedule in terms of development aims and I'll do all I can to stick to it. By current estimates, you'll see major feature development (and corresponding updates) every 1 / 1.5 months, especially since the scope grew quite a bit lately with even more mechanics and things to do in-game. As usual, I hope you'll stick around to see the finished product: a heartfelt game about a delivery driver grinding in order to open their own Restaurant, learning recipes, going through all possible scenarios and buying himself a ranch to raise his own organic crops (sneak - peak right there). I appreciate all the support you've shown and I'll keep you updated at every step of the way. You can support my work at this game using the following links:
Thank you
As always, I'd like to thank you for your support and feedback - bringing joy in your homes and hearts is my objective and I'll do what I can to bring that drop of laughter and that pill of heartwarming atmosphere in your day to day routine. 'Till next time!
Dev Update - (multiple weeks) #5
Planning
These past few weeks (with Holidays included) I've worked on putting together a definitive plan for 2023 - including releasing the game.
Sprints & Agile
I've decided to work in sprints of 1 week - I have about 85 tasks to complete in the coming months and hope to release an early access version of the game sometime this summer. There's still a massive amount of content to be added, but I'm glad to announce that the main mechanics are already put in place and working in isolation.
Markets, Outskirts, Buildings
I've designed grocery stores and markets where you can shop for products to fill your customers' baskets and deliver them in time, along with food and other types of orders from restaurants and other theme stores. I've also designed 6 outskirt areas populated by houses where you will have long distance orders. You need to plan your route according to traffic, weather conditions, special events and more. I've also designed 5 new types of buildings (blocks of flats, skyscrapers, restaurants, markets and car shops) and implemented the inside navigation inside.
AI Improvements
I have made some improvements to how NPCs drive their cars around and prepared the stage for events such as football and sports matches, visits from important people (celebrities, politicians, influencers) and car shows.

Weekly reflection steamhappy
2022 has been the year when I decided to pursue this dream of mine - creating Delivoo. By the number of wishlists and views, I got fired up to deliver what I promised, and maybe a tad more. I will do my best not to let you down and release a game you and your family can enjoy!

Dev Update - Week #4
The week of refinements
This week, the focus was mainly on making sure the game has a strong framework to support the features I plan.
Redesigned order management
Order generation and the entire flow used to be messy - I have improved and cleaned it of weird random logic blocks and it now allows for easier configuration. You will now receive orders based on your skills and level, so that you won't get to deliver a 15 km order on foot, during winter time.
Character customisation
It is important for your character to closely represent your personality - that's why you now have around 2500 combinations of bodies, eye colours, hairstyles and hair colours to choose from. I also started to lay the bricks for purchasing accessories and outfits around Peytor Town.
Graphics Improvements

It's very rewarding to see how much a small code change can affect the performance of the game. I'll keep that in mind next time.

Dev Update - Week #3
The week of cars
This week the focus was on the ability to drive a car around Peytor Town and the ability to have more than one active order at the same time.
Driving mechanics
Here I am, walking illegally past some NPC cars, entering my car and driving away on the road. There is still much to improve, along with adding an UI with the fuel/battery level and the speed display - but I am proud of this achievement.
More orders in the backpack
Depending on the backpack you own, you may be able to carry multiple orders at the same time - so plan your route in a smart way in order not to go overtime and keep the customers waiting for too long.
Graphics Improvements
I've also reworked some graphics around the orders app (not final, ofcourse).
- The backpack icon on the bottom left looks better now (may be final).
- You can now scroll to find all available and active orders.
- Reworked car sprites.
- Added shadows.
- Tweaked lightning (outside).
Status update
This week's status:

Dev Update - Week #2
The week of home design
This week I've worked on giving you a place to call "home". You start in a tiny and cozy apartment in the South District where you have the essential items: a bed, a small kitchen and a drawer with clothes thrown around. Also, I've started to work on driving mechanics. You can hop in your car and drive around Peytor Town, albeit it's a very alpha version of the final design and function.
Heartwarming lightning
Since the whole point of a home is to create a cozy atmosphere, I thought the natural light coming from the two windows would aid in that process. Here is how the lightning changes during the day-night cycle. Hope you like the colours! You can also use the bed in your apartment to sleep and regain energy (while skipping time). Don't sleep too much or you'll miss the bonus orders of early morning. You can also choose to sleep during the day and only deliver orders at nighttime, thus minimising the time spent in traffic and maximising profits steamhappy
Driving the car
After you purchase (or rent) a car from one of multiple dealers around Peytor town, you'll be able to use it to deliver long-distance orders more quickly than on foot. Keep in mind that owning a car is different from renting a car:

[th]Type[/th] [th]Fuel costs[/th] [th]Insurance[/th] [th]Parking[/th] [th]Repairs costs[/th]

Renting You get the car with tank / battery full You pay higher insurance costs You get an unlimited parking subscription all around Peytor Town Fully covered by insurance

Owning You pay for the gas / electricity you use You pay lower insurance costs You pay for each individual parking meter or purchase area subscriptions You pay for any damages to the vehicle

Types of cars
The plan is to have both electric and gas engine cars in multiple colours. Here is a preliminary list:
- Gasoline / electric small car (easy parking, lower insurance, better fuel economy, slower)
- Gasoline / electric sedan (higher insurance, more complicated parking, worse fuel economy, faster, gives you extra storage for orders, supports food heating/cooling gadgets)
- Gasoline / electric sports car (easy parking, highest insurance, worst fuel economy, fastest, coolest)
- Gasoline / electric van (gives you the most extra storage, supports most gadgets, can sleep in it, higher fuel capacity, gives you the ability to deliver parcels).
Status update
This week's status:
- Player Home implementation steamthis
- Ability to place furniture steamthumbsdown (deprioritised for December)
- Ability to sleep and regain energy steamthumbsup

Weekly reflection steamsad
It's hard to split my time between marketing (content updates, devlogs like this one, sharing content on Patreon, planning new videos, etc), design (in-game assets) and development work. I admit that I spent half of this week on the first two and less on the third. I will be more aware of the split in the future.
Thank you
As always, I'd like to thank you for your support and feedback - bringing joy in your homes and hearts is my objective and I'll do what I can to bring that drop of laughter and that pill of heartwarming atmosphere in your day to day routine. 'Till next time!
Dev Update - Week #1
The week of Excitement
This week I launched the Steam page so there's that! I am really excited to having the game page up on Steam, as it allows me to easily communicate plans and progress with you.
Order delivered successfully
I have added an animation for when you deliver an order to a customer. In case of success, you'll see the points earned (I'll tell you more about these points in a later weekly devlog) and the feedback that the customer left you (which can be either positive or negative and it can get really funny).
View order history
You'll be able to see the order history in a nice elastic scrollable list in a dedicated app on your phone. This helps both showing off to your friends and finding out what's your total count of successful/unsuccessful orders.
New Wallet Design
That ugly green background for the wallet is now gone and the placement of banknotes and coins is now different (I will update the screenshots from the game page as well at some point).
Next steps
The week of home design The following week (Nov 14 - Nov 18) I will focus on implementing the place the player calls home. I will get back to you in the next weekly devlog. Full list of items in scope:
- Player Home implementation
- Ability to place furniture
- Ability to sleep and regain energy
- Ability to move furniture around
- Ability to purchase furniture - not the shops, but the inventory of available furniture that you previously purchased
- YouTube Channel
Thank you
As always, I'd like to thank you for your support and feedback - bringing joy in your homes and hearts is my objective and I'll do what I can to bring that drop of laughter and that pill of heartwarming atmosphere in your day to day routine. 'Till next time!

The game idea revolves around simulating the role of a local item delivery person. You have a smartphone with an app installed that notifies you of active orders from all around Peytor Town. While you discover the city and earn money walking / running / driving / cycling / commuting / etc your backpack around, you will face a number of challenges.
Keep An Eye On Temperatures
Depending on the type of items you carry in your backpack, you need to carefully arrange them in such way that frozen pizzas don't melt and nachos cheese sauce doesn't get cold. You can upgrade it to carry more items or even have better temperature insulation.Make Sure You've Got Change
Some customers will prefer to pay cash, so make sure to manage your wallet contents carefully and don't forget to visit the ATM every now and then. If you don't have exact change, you can either bargain and hope for the best or make the customer wait ... your rating will likely suffer.Grind Your Way Through Delivoo Partner Program
While short and easy orders are smooth, longer distance ones will pay more. Even better: rush hour and weather conditions also influences your payment. These perks are only available to Delivoo Partners only, so make sure to keep your rating up and customers happy in order to get bronze, silver, gold or even platinum Partner Level.
PS: There's no rating that many can't magically remove
Find your way through Peytor Town
The city is large - so large, in fact, that it has a shore with a beach, a crowded old town, a busy office area, a picturesque mountain road leading to Holywood grade villas and more. Getting around the city can prove to be complicated, depending on the vehicle you pick:- Your own two feet
- Public transportation (You'll need tickets or subscriptions)
- Bicycle
- E-Bike (You'll need to charge it or spend twice the effort to pedal it)
- Electric scooter
- Car (Gas, maintenance, taxes, parking passes, all that jazz)
- Electric Car (Pick a good one)!
