New Puzzle Sets!
Infinitely, procedurally-generated levels are neat, but not as the meat of the game. Enjoy 40 handmade levels that increase in difficulty at a nice pace. They have themes, and even make patterns/images! Want more handmade levels? Don't worry, every Sunday 5 new puzzles will be available! I now plan to focus on the mobile release of the game, but I left the door open for creating a "Set #2" as possible DLC in the future.

Handmade levels are here!
New Additions
- 40 handmade levels as "Set #1"
- 5 handmade levels every Sunday as the "Weekly Set" (if connected to internet)
- "Unlock A", "Complete Week", "Easy 1", and "Quick 1" achievements
Major Changes
- All tutorials, except the tutorial about hints, are moved to "Set #1"
- Hints are disabled in handmade levels
- Handmade puzzles can go up to 10x10
- Removes statistics menu (Stats are now shown at the bottom-left of each infinite puzzle, respectively)
- Adds tracking for "Quick" and "Perfect" kudos you get (used to only track "Complete" and "Perfect" streaks) (Expect 0 "Quick" and 0 "Perfect" stats for each infinite game mode since they're new!)
- All infinite game modes are locked at start until level 20 of Set #1 is complete(Unless you played prior to 1.1.0)
Achievement Changes
- "Quick A" 4 seconds -> 10 seconds
- "Quick B" 15 seconds -> 20 seconds
- "Quick E" 15 seconds -> 20 seconds
- "Unlock D" 8 levels -> 10 levels
- "Unlock A" achievement added for completing level 10 of Set #1
- "Unlock E" achievement changed to completing level 30 of Set #1
Minor Changes
- "Play" button at main menu changed to "Infinite"
- "Levels" button added at main menu for all handmade levels
- In Settings, changing thread colors only impacts the palette in Infinite puzzles(Handmade levels have immutable palettes)
- Music restarts or changes when going to the next handmade level (Because, the next level could have a different song since the difficulty slowly increases)

1.0.3 - Better Puzzles
[ 2022-11-29 01:29:06 CET ] [ Original post ]
Improvements
- Difficulty consistency improved between puzzles
- Puzzles with 2 solutions are far more rare (it will never be 0% with random generation sadly, but I plan to make a puzzle pack in a future 2.0 update to compensate this)
Minor Changes
- Puzzles' sizes are now in sets. Puzzles start with their smallest dimension, then after a few puzzles, go up one in height, then after a few more puzzles, go up one in width and down one in height, then repeat this cycle.
- Game Mode A tutorial is more descriptive
Bug Fixes
- Fixed bug where tutorial would show twice

1.0.1 Patch
With the addition of skippable levels, I had to add a save state to know which levels were completed or not so players can traverse ahead and back. In 1.0.0, the game only tracked how many puzzles you completed, and the level you were on was the amount of levels you completed plus 1. [strike]You will notice that the game takes you to level 1 on each game mode with this update. Do not be alarmed - simply skip ahead to what puzzle you were on, or get double credit for completing the earlier puzzles again! The game will keep track of your exact level from now on. I am sorry for this minor inconvenience, but enjoy the ability to skip any level![/strike] Edit: I believe I found a solution where this will not happen. Your puzzle number should be at the latest puzzle still.

Big Changes
- Skippable levels
- Hint Button
Small Changes
- Tooltip shows up on smaller buttons
- Puzzles' initial stitches cannot be unstitched
- Thread selection with mouse-wheel scrolls around to the other side
Note to all Players

Hey everybody! First off, thank you to everyone who is playing Across-Stitch! I am so happy to see people playing it. I have gotten a lot of positive feedback today, and it has been wonderful to hear. With a lot feedback, also, comes some suggestions. I wanted to make quick note of what 1.0.1 will look like.
1.0.1 Additions
- An undo button
- A skip button - for those pesky, randomized puzzles that are not fun
- A hint button - for those moments where it will be nice to have a little suggestion
1.0.1 Fixes
- Prevent being able to unstitch the stitches given at the beginning of the puzzles
