Trapers Platformer 2 revolves around the island of Montaa Clara and its inhabitants. But Coconut\'s journey is very different from Tortuga\'s, and so are his abilities and gameplay! Trapers Platformer 2 offers mechanics more in line with a classic Metroidvania. Abilities such as dashing, double jumping, diving, and many more allow Coconut to reach a ton of places that Tortuga couldn\'t. Plus, this sequel offers higher screen resolution and reworked menus.\n

Solved a bug where rhe player could get stuck in a particular platform
Hopefully fixed some menu issues with some configuration on steam deck and xbox controllers.
- Fixed a physics bug that prevented the Rocker Ship multi-shoot to spread properly

- Fixed a bug that caused high level monster to appear in the spring factory entrance for lower difficulties
- Fixed a moving platform in the spring factory area
How do I start a new game+?
once you beat the game, you can restart any saved game as new game plus. Your weapons, powerups and maps will be preserved so you can keep growing stronger!How do I enter the new sidequest zone?
Once you start a new game plus, play as normal until you reach Treasure Island I. Go to the leftmost part of the island and a new building will be there. Inside you'll start your trip to the new area.
Trapers Platformer is a prequel to a never finished project of mine, Traper Tournament (2001), a (J)RPG featuring Tortuga as the main character. Coming soon, I swear!
But the first title in the series dates back to 2000. Trapers was what we could call today a boomer shooter (doom-like back in the day)
The first game already featured the terrible hand drawn, graph paper style the series is built around. The name comes from a southern Spanish slang referring to something that is poorly made.
Alas, the latest source code was lost long ago, and current builds are not playable on modern systems. May it be time for a remaster perhaps?
Hi there! This is not a content update, but a little fixes and tweaks update based on your feedback.
Main changes include:
- Easy difficulty is now the default option for New Game
- Sound volume halved by default on first run
- Coin count shows up whenever you pick up coins
- First level rats aren't 5x as powerful as the orcs anymore!
- The forest boss fight can now be defeated with the base sword (you used to need at least one sword upgrade)
- Lots of small dialogue placement tweaks
This update includes a lot of little fixes which I believe would be nice to have before the next big update (NG+ and the new NG+ dungeon). Let me know if any bug slipped in, and thanks for your support!
Difficulty Settings Update is here!
Hello there! This update brings difficulty options to Trapers Platformer! The game is supposed to be challenging indeed, but if the bosses or jumps get too infuriating for you, there are not one, but TWO easier game modes to try! And if you are into suffering and pain there's a harder game mode too! Yay!So if you got frustrated in the past, don't be ashamed to start over and enjoy the charming story behind Trapers Platformer. The difficulty selection screen is available when you start a new game, and your existing saves will be labelled as "classic" difficulty.
So what's next?

- The first boss was still moving during pause
- Some graphical glitches here and there
- Better background contrast in the cursed tower
- Added a save point right after the first boss
- Starting a new game after playing an existing one was carrying playtime and coins!
- Audio volume can now be configured from the settings menu
- Use Gamepad L/R or PgUp/PgDn to switch weapons
- Some minor tweaks on the forst tweak to make it easier to find the buildings and optional powerups
