- Fixed animation glitch that made the player stay in walking animation after slamming.

Happy New Year! Let's jump right into it. Currently: I have completed all special abilities for all characters. Balance testing is now in progress. Boxer AI has been improved. Future: The final phase before the next big update which doesn't have an official name yet has begun. In this phase much of the placeholder art will be replaced and level assets will be updated. Estimated time to the next update: February 22, 2024 (subject to change) - Doug
What's Happening?
The specials are nearly done for all fighters. Just two left (DapperBall and SlimeBall). Next week will be the final week of development for special abilities. AI tracking will be improved and optimized for boxers.

After a brief hiatus, we are back in action. I've worked on a few more character abilities and am doing testing for balancing and bugs.

INTRO
I would like to start posting updates bi-weekly just so everyone knows that I am still actively developing Ball Punchers. I will introduce myself. I am Doug and I am a solo developer that has been developing this game for the past 2.5 years now. I started from scratch learning to code and learning 3d modeling software like Blender. I made Ball Punchers because local party games are a pastime in my family, that my brothers and I have enjoyed since the N64 days. I figured I would make a game that we could all enjoy together but also share it with you all. Like every other aspiring developers, I overestimated my ability to learn all of these new programs and underestimated the amount of work it would take to complete a game. I am fully dedicated to providing a complete game, no matter how long it takes.
Update
Enemy AI
I have started working on our new enemy that will spawn during fights to add to the madness. The Cube Fighters, or Boxers will target players and deal small amounts of damage but in groups can really take down a player quickly. I have plans to make the enemy spawn in with different mutations.
Fury Activated!
Fury can be gained by stringing together attacks. Once the meter is full you may use your special ability. Each character has their own unique ability.
Bonus
New character Spherix will soon be entering the battle. I don't have a definitive timeline on when this update will be live but I am working diligently and would like to have it be before the end of the year. See ya next time! -Doug
