2.5D UPDATE

Almost all levels are now 2.5D sidescroller, except by the Relic Dungeons and some special maps. That's how the game was envisioned at beginning.

Linux Version and Steam Deck Support

The Linux version of Reddish has been released and now it is possible to play using Steam Deck.

Optimization, new settings and DASH system

New settings were made available and it is now possible to have better game performance even with less powerful hardware. Optimizations were also made to textures and 3d models to use less memory. A Dash System was added. Now pressing the E button on the keyboard or B/Circle on the controllers will trigger a dash that can damage enemies, throw and break things.

Narbash House + New Relic Dungeon

Narbash's house after Armyrn forest has been added. It is possible to buy clues of relics from Narbash, in his house after Amyrn Forest. These clues will never tell you exactly where the relic and relic dungeons are, but they will give you a better sense of where you need to look.

Reddish is a 3d action platformer with a beat 'em up style combat. Each level has different enemies and secrets, also the world map where you enter the levels is highly explorable and hides some dungeons. Some gameplay aspects are heavily influenced by old snes platform classics, bringing then to the new generation. The game is powered by Unreal 5 and use assets from Paragon game. New techniques like Nanite and Lumem for global Illumination are widely used.

Storyline:

In the depths of planet Paragon, inside the Arcan Mines, the great drills never stop working. But that day a strange red light was all around, workers talked about some energy popping up in the air. Tremors interrupted and broke some tracks, platforms have fallen. And than, in a weird Terminator style, Reddish Wukong was there. Now he will face the Kaizan Empire that controls the planet, but no one knows his purposes.

Reddish is a 3d action platformer with a beat 'em up style combat. Each level has different enemies and secrets, also the world map where you enter the levels is highly explorable and hides some dungeons.

Reddish is a solo dev project with some gameplay aspects heavily influenced by old snes platform classics, bringing then to the new generation. The game is powered by Unreal 5 and use assets from Paragon game. New techniques like Nanite and Lumem for global Illumination are widely used.

Combat - Action and challenge in a beat 'em up style combat, Reddish can attack and defend with his staff, he can also jump on enemies heads to cause damage and in some levels it has some hidden powers.
Exploration - Each level has a lot to explore, in some parts of the game you can find Relic Dungeons which are small hidden maps where Reddish has to beat a wave of enemies to escape and get the reward.
