Update 1.2: improved game graphics

The big change in this update is the improvement of the game graphics. A lot of textures have been enhanced, and new 3D models have been added. Release notes (v1.2.0):

  • The game's graphics have been enhanced with new textures and new 3D models
  • A new setting option has been added: rendering scale
  • Platform 12: sliding puzzle has been simplified (according to the anonymous statistics, the puzzle was too complex)
  • Fixed a bug where copying and pasting line breaks didn't work in input fields
  • Increased the thickness of some windows to prevent the character from passing through them during intense physical collisions
  • Technical update: when the Steam API cannot be loaded, the game is now still playable
  • Technical update: migrated from the GLFW to SDL library

Update 1.1: puzzle hints

The big change in this update is the arrival of hints. If you get stuck on laser or sliding puzzles for a certain period of time, you will have the possibility to request a hint. Important note for players who have already played the game: go to platform 05 to discover what's new! Release notes (v1.1.0):

  • New platform with 32 optional hints are now available for the more complex puzzles of the game
  • New achievement for players who do not use hints
  • The new platform also contains a recap of all block mechanisms
  • Platforms 27/34: fixed a bug where it was possible to build a block through the "special" windows
  • Platform 27: added more foundation blocks to ease the building process
  • Platform 34: fixed a small hole where it was possible to take back an already well-placed block
  • Improved a picture of the logbook to make it more comprehensible

Release notes (v1.0.15):

  • Improved the opening door mechanism by adding on-screen progression indicators, making reset clearer, and ensuring the receptor is always 100% synchronized with the blocks' state.
  • Changed the default keys for the logbook and interactive view to use more commonly used keys in the gaming industry (only applied to new players).
  • Increased the range of the analyze feature because some players were missing elements to analyze due to being too far away from them.
  • Hub platform: reviewed the design of the validation button on the console because it was somtime mistaken for a reset button.
  • Platform 09: fixed a case where an achievement could be manually resolved, but the achievement description indicated that only an automatic solution was acceptable.
  • Platform 05: adjusted the difficulty level of the sliding puzzle.
  • Platform 10: reduced the time it takes for automatic notifications to appear, in order to prevent overlapping notifications when a player requests an analysis within the first few seconds of landing on the platform.
  • Platform 13: fixed a grammatical error in an analysis description (English & Portuguese).
  • Platform 17: fixed a grammatical error in an analysis description (English only).
  • Platforms 20 & 22: added more story elements to the levels to make the puzzles more intuitive.
  • Platform 32: rearranged the objects in the level to prevent a solution that does not work and is difficult to understand.
  • Engine optimization: reduced draw calls for all UI by using instancing on GPU.
  • Engine optimization: improved the 3D objects instancing to better reuse past rendered objects.
  • Engine optimization: improved 3D objects animations in case a vertex is effected by only one bone.
  • Fixed crash when player tries to close the logbook while zooming on an image in the logbook.

  • Reflections caused by backlit/technical lights that are not intended to be visible have been removed (bonus: performances in game increased slightly).
  • A new sound has been added to alert players of execution interruption when attempting to build a block.
  • Resolved an issue where execution failed to initiate on the first attempt in rare cases.
  • Visual design of the dotted lasers has been improved to make it clearer to players that they are not actual lasers, but rather visual aids to understand where the lasers will appear.
  • Level 9 has been reviewed and adjusted slightly to prevent puzzle solutions that may be easier than originally intended.
  • The size of the symbol on the receptor panel has been increased to make them more noticeable to players.
  • In level 8, a laser block that was overlapping with a baseboard has been repositioned.
  • Level 10 has been simplified by blocking unnecessary parts on the cart.

  • An image at the end of the game has been updated to correct an erroneous illustration.

In 2075, a space probe saw a strange platform floating in space near Jupiter. The government decided to finance a space mission to send you on this platform to elucidate the mystery.

During your journey, you will face a variety of original and challenging puzzles:
  • Redirect and adjust the laser beams by using the environment or by building blocks. These blocks have the capability to interact with laser beams to change their color and direction, deactivate them, and much more.
  • In addition, there are 2D puzzles where you must move pieces in a certain order to reach a target. As you progress, these puzzles will evolve with the addition of new rules, which will change the experience and gradually increase the difficulty.
Altogether, more than 90 puzzles await you, providing several hours of play.
