Are you feeling CONFIDENT, Wizards?
We have a big surprise for you! Today we are releasing the Confidence Update for Wizard's Way Out! The biggest change is that you can now finish levels without perfect execution and progress in the game without mastering each level. For each level you master the little Wizard will become more and more confident in their skills
However, the Wizard needs to be completely confident in their skills to tackle the final level and escape the magical prison! We hope this change will also give you the confidence to experiment with the levels and discover new ways to solve the puzzles you might be stuck on! Don't worry, if you're coming back to Wizard's Way Out after a long hiatus, levels you have completed previously are already considered mastered and you won't need to solve them again in order to progress. Due to how the old level progression worked you may find yourself in a situation where newly unlocked levels will appear as already mastered, this is due to you having mastered them prior to this update and is as intended. That said, if you feel the need to refresh your telekinetic puzzling skills you can revisit and replay any level at any time We also revamped the movement controls, both inside a level, and on the level selection screen. In a level, you can now select any tile, and the little Wizard will figure out how to get there fastest! No need to click a million times to move anymore!
Level selection now lists all the levels on the bottom of the screen, and you can simply select the level you want to go to and be taken there directly. The level buttons also better indicate if a level has been cleared, mastered, or is yet to be unlocked.
Thank you for supporting our indie dream If you want to give us feedback, chat or anything else, hit us up on the Steam forums or Discord! Have fun, Kikimora Crew

Hello Wizards!
We did a bunch of small quality of life updates that we hope will improve your chances of escaping the prison!
- You can now easily see the level number! It should make searching for solutions easier. You would never do that, right?
- A handy restart button is now directly accessible, and restarting is a tiny bit faster so you can express your frustration on a hard level easier!
- We now detect if you prefer using a mouse, keyboard or gamepad a bit better, so the appropriate prompts and cursors will appear and disappear correctly!
- If you dislike having button prompts inside the levels, there is a handy checkbox that can help you out now!
- Credits will now zip by in 3 seconds only, if you so wish. We promise they're not long either way!
- If your graphics card doesn't support Vulkan, the OpenGL version of the game should now be a lot more readable!

The Prison is shifting!
You hear a strange sound, as if the walls of the prison are moving! A magical phrase appears in thin air: The Difficulty Curve Has Been Adjusted. Confused, you continue forward. You have to escape the prison no matter what this difficulty curve is. The level selection screen seems prettier somehow, like a world designer passed here and made sure things fit better. TBH It's really hard to talk about settings in prose, so you will be glad to learn that we also added text speed settings! You can now get your dialogues:

The well bottom, it has widened?
It seems our little Wizard remembered some more of their Telekinesis lessons, and is willing to share them during the first level of the game. This might not mean much to wise old sages among you, but the younger sorcerers will hopefully appreciate it
A member of our Discord community ( I couldn't come up with a cool Wizard themed way of saying this) requested the ability to control the amount of film grain effect. You can find a fancy new slider living in the settings menu. We hope that the headaches will stop now It turns our some folks has screens the exact size of our windowed resolution, we tweaked the way buttons behave so hopefully windows will now look more...windowy for most of you Wizards out there! Thank you for supporting our indie dream If you want to give us feedback, chat or anything else, hit us up on the Steam forums or Discord! Have fun, Kikimora Crew

The Prison Sounds...Different
We've fixed a bunch of audio and UI related bugs that will make your escape seems just a tiny bit more immersive. Things will now crash, boom, shake and zing more purposefully. If they shake a bit too much, you can always go to the settings and lower the amount of screenshake to something you personally enjoy! We've also fixed the way button prompts appear, so if you're more of a keyboard Wizard, and less of a mouse Wizard you should now see the controls that fit your preferred playstyle!
As always, thank you for supporting our indie dream If you want to give us feedback, chat or anything else, hit us up on the Steam forums or Discord! Have fun, Kikimora Crew

Minor Patch For Achievement Hunters
[ 2023-04-24 17:05:01 CET ] [ Original post ]
It turns out you could unlock all the level completed achievements just by replaying the first level We have decided this is not the most fun way to experience the game and have patched it! Enjoy breaking out of prison, Wizards!

Push, Pull and puzzle your way out of a magical prison in Wizard's Way Out!
After hearing a voice from a well, an underachieving Wizard trips and falls into its depths. Deep underground awaits a forgotten prison, and the only way out is to get past the slumbering guards.
So you flunked out of Sorcery School. And sure, you fell into a well because you heard a strange voice and lost your balance. But that won't stop you this time. This time you will succeed.

You Can't Do This:
- You can't teleport
- You can't throw fireballs
- You kinda suck at the whole Wizard thing
You Can Do This:
- You can Push things away from you!
- You can Pull things toward you!
- You have an awesome Ratbug best friend you just met!
And You Do It Like This:
- Simple mouse controls!
- A bunch of levels that will squeeze your brain!
- Easy to learn, hard to master gameplay that will test your logic!
- Full controller support, for maximum comfy couch puzzle action!
- Deal with the slumbering guards before they wake up!
