Thanks to you, we live and share our common passions for gaming and FPV through this great project. We're sticking with it!

Let's give you our vision of where TRYP FPV will go, how and why.


Our last update 6 months ago was mandatory to simulate a correct drone torque and motors ' behaviour into TRYP FPV - Thanks a to BF PID system. But, we quickly realized it was not enough to reach the ultimate physics and make every pilots happy, because of aerodynamics complexity. We had to find a way to improve it but this is not an easy topic. So, we made the difficult decision to delay all our updates (including multiplayer, map editor, etc.) until we reach our goal, even at the risk of causing frustration. Since 2 years we launched theearlyaccess, physics has became a new priority for us. In fact, before offering you a great game, we want to give you the most realistic FPV Simulator ever.

The great news is that we found a way to make it !


With a new collaboration of @betaflight, and the support of a lot of great pilots we have developed a new tool that has never be seen in a FPV simulator - We imagined a "digital twin" technology process for FPV : [olist]
  • We import and run a flight blacklog with GPS to generate the real trajectory into the simulator.
  • We run the commands of the same flight blacklog but with TRYP Physics to generate a 2nd trajectory.
  • We match both trajectoires and behavior by tweaking physics factors. And boom ! No discussion needed about physics anymore, just validate it visually.[/olist] Our tool, "Physics Matcher", will analyze a blackboxto get the right aerodynamics, motors, acceleration, gyro, position, PID, Rates at each moment with decimeter precision. The next update should close the debate about how should be physics in a FPV simulator.
    We realized this technology is probablymore powerfulthan we thought, it could replace awind tunnelstudy in some cases and it will probably find new specific uses in the RC industry. Italso helped us to measure precisely, adjust and find new ultra complexe aerodynamic forces like lift and airflow... this is improving so much realisms of the feel of flight. Of course, physics is obviously not everything for a great game, and here are the other great features you will find in the update coming in few weeks :

  • Fixes, improvment and new 7" drone

    Our latest update was complex and crucial, and some problems weren't detected during the beta test. This is why your feedback is extremely important to us, as you can see in this patch where we've taken them all into consideration. Welcome to a new drone, Chimera 7 pro V2 ! New drones will be arriving swiftly, and new maps are already in progress. Multiplayer functionality is also in the works. 2024 is approaching rapidly, and just like our new features, you can trust us on that! About the spinning effect, it was something you didn't like, so we increased the PID overflow to eliminate wild spinning upon impact by default. If you want to put it back as it's reflect reality, simply set the Overflow parameter (in the GLOBAL section) to 2000; this is the default value in Betaflight.     NEW PHYSICS SYSTEM with Betaflight, NEW UI & UX, NEW SPOTS, and more

    Earlier this year, we embarked on an entirely unexplored territory, unprecedented in any other FPV simulator at this level of detail. The Betaflight team themselves shared their invaluable insights and assistance, aiding us in the direct implementation of their original algorithms and source code for PID management. TRYP FPV will now operate with the authentic Betaflight PID system, generating movement based on the torque created from independent rotor thrust, and this is a total game changer in the world of FPV simulators. This is the reason why our update was significantly delayed. We made the challenging decision to temporarily suspend the development of multiplayer and content in order to prioritize refining the flight experience. Our primary focus was on delivering the most advanced physics system ever integrated into any FPV drone simulator. We sincerely hope you will appreciate it, and we promise that the next update will be released more frequently.     IMPORTANT - Lumen is now set to low by default as it causes lacks of performance on some configuration. You can manually set to ultra in the Graphics Settings > Global Illumination (last parameters) to activate and improve lighting.     Migration to Unreal Engine 5

    A new patch is finally available! We took way longer than expected, but we added some content to make up for the wait. We did a bunch of optimization and also took the time to upgrade the engine from Unreal Engine 4.27 to Unreal Engine 5.0. For those of you who might be disappointed by the current performance of the game, we take this issue very seriously and we will continue to work on it as more options will become available from the engine. Another major change is the first localization update! Don't hesitate to report anything on the discord as always. We also added more content on the desert map to make it more exciting to play. What's next? Some of you might be hyped to hear that we have laid the groundwork for multiplayer and is in developement, however our next priority is an update to the physical system.     First Patch & Update

    First of all, thank you for your feedback. We read everything on the discord and see a lot of interesting ideas and bug reports that are a huge help. This patch focus on bug fixing and improvements that were reported, like rates, but we wanted to do more with our first update : > That's why we added also new challenges, a ghost system in race mode and two new flight mode: Angle and 3D. We are aware of some controller issues and we are looking into it. As for optimisations, we are looking at our options with UE5 as well and will work on it soon. You can expect some news in a few weeks. We will continue with these type of patch (next weeks) until we are satisfied with the state of the game and then the team will work on major updates. Thank you & Have fun! NEWS: - You can now navigate with the gamepad in the map menu. - Added ghost for races. You can toggle the ghost in option/display. - Added buttons in pause menu to change map / mode. - Added new challenges (3 in Desert lost temple, 2 in Quarry valley, 1 in Alpine ride). - Added angle and 3D flight mode. You can find the corresponding options in option/control. - Added a delay in cinematic mode after respawn and at the start of a race, you must move your throttle to activate the physics.
