Hello little goblins, Thank you for all your support throughout the years. 8 years, to be more precise, as the first game in the series - Goblin and Coins - was released on November 8th 2016. Time simply flies by. There are two more Goblin and coins games since, a very difficult Goblin and Coins II with metroidvania-lik levels and a focus on exploration and acquiring upgrades, and an easier alternative to it, The Lost Recipes, which is more similar to the first game, with mostly linear levels and unlimited continues. In order to celebrate together, a franchise link has been created on steam, so it's easier to find all the games in the series, and also there will be a significant discount on all three games at the same time a bit later this month (scheduling requirements prevent it from starting today). Don't forget that purchasing a complete-your-collection bundle gives you an additional discount on top of the regular discount. Happy 8th goblinversary to all of you! PS There just might be a tiny giveaway hidden here.
There's no changes to the code and assets of the game this time. After watching a bunch of streamers play The Lost Recipes, I've decided to add (more) bean soup cauldrons to larger, exploration-focused levels, in the base game too. It's not going to turn it into an easy game, but should be more welcoming to the players who are after the certain achievements, while still being difficult to master.
The wait is finally over, The Lost Recipes is OUT NOW and can be purchased on Steam. Please note that, if you already own the previous two games, you can save on top of the -20% launch discount by purchasing the complete the set bundle. What awaits you?
- Familiar platforming mechanics, traps and enemies, but improved!
- 25 handcrafted levels
- world 1 very easy, worlds 2 and 3 easy/medium, worlds 4-5 a bit challenging
- Unlimited continues / level restarts
- No boss fights, just platforming fun!
- Double-jump available from the very start of the game
- 5 brand new recipes to unlock, prepare (baking), and post your artwork to the game hub
- English and Serbian language (with Brazilian Portuguese coming soon and more to potentially come later)
- Gamepad support, keyboard re-binding
Hello little goblins, Let's head back into adventuring and numismatics! The Lost Recipes, a much easier stand-alone expansion for the Goblin and Coins II, will release on August 28th on Steam. What can you expect?
- 25 handcrafted levels (that get a bit challenging close to the end, but are a walk in the park compared to the most of GnC2 maze-like levels)
- Familiar mechanics, traps and enemies - but improved!
- Unlimited continues / level restarts
- No boss fights, just platforming
- Double-jump available from the very start of the game
- 5 brand new recipes to unlock, prepare, and post your artwork to the game hub

Thank you for the support!

Nothing really changed in this new build compared to the previous one in the means of levels, enemies, gameplay... The only thing is that I've increased the number of continues available in order to motivate the players who don't understand the idea of continues and the underworld and might be scared by the shrinking numbers, and reward those who manage to escape it. So, from now on...
- New game with an "easier start" ON (default) sets you with 30 continues instead of 20.
- New game with an "easier start" OFF sets you with 20 continues instead of 15.
- Escaping the underworld adds 20 new continues instead of 15.
The store page is up now for the next adventure: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2677680/Goblin_and_Coins_II_The_Lost_Recipes/ Please wishlist and follow to be the first to get the news and updates and to support the effort. Thank you.

- Cumulative minor fixes (nothing important really)
I'm sorry you had to wait, but the gamepad input on Linux/SteamOS should now be working the same way it does on Windows. Even the users of SteamDeck should not have to use Keyboard emulation (WASD) anymore.
- Re-wrote the gamepad input from scratch.

Hello little goblins,
Years have passed, but the wait is finally over. Eat your bean soup, then run and jump through the new adventure ahead of us. Goblin and Coins II is out now!
Goblin and Coins II is a 2D pixel art platformer with a unique twist - after the player loses all lives and all continues, they end up in a challenging level called the Underworld, where they must assembly the Golden branch in order to resurrect with additional continues/lives.
Of course, the game can be made easier (or not - create your own challenge!) in many ways, including purchasing up to five upgrades in exchange for the collected coins (additional life, double jump, 99 continues, instant shrinking to gain access to crawl space tunnels, and seeing the invisible objects/levels) or using an "easier start" gameplay option in the settings menu.
The game features 25 handcrafted story levels, 5 boss arenas, upgrade store (no microtransactions of any kind, just coins collected in the game/levels), the Underworld, and 5 hidden levels.
It supports English, Serbian, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese-Brazil, Greek, Ukrainian and German so far, with Turkish in the works.
Use the launch discount to start playing today, or if you already own Goblin and Coins (2016) you can get additional discount by using a complete the set bundle containing both games.

Goblin and Coins II will participate in the NEXT FEST June '22 with a DEMO for you to try out and hopefully have fun. What to expect in the DEMO:
- Only English and Serbian language. More to come in the full release.
- Only the Windows build available for now, Linux/SteamDeck dedicated build coming later (you can try and use Proton though).
- All settings and options available, be sure to tune it to your liking before playing.
- Available levels: Midnight raid, Sunny beach, Fisherman's village, Dark mines, Downhill, Cpt. Greenbeard boss fight, Snowy pass, Ice caves (+ the underground, a special level you only get to see after you lose all lives/continues). These are the initial levels and are on the easy side.
- Quarter of the world map, including store/trader (ingame coins exchanged for upgrades, no mtx!)
- Upgrade 2 (double jump) is purchasable for free (available sum will go into debt. I recommend getting the 4th life first, so you can have both)
- Upgrade 4 (shrinky in a blinky) works automatically without a purchase (will cost 200 coins later)
