You might’ve seen in the forums that we’ve started a monthly community roadmap to show you what we’ll be working on with Worms W.M.D each month. Today’s update brings with it a host of fixes to improve performance for the Community.
Windows Update
- Fixed an issue where worms would slide when using the parachute
- Fixed an issue which prevented players using the last selected weapon after exiting a vehicle
- Fixed an issue which showed a gap in imported levels
- Fixed an issue which could prevent players from selecting team colours
- Fixed an exploit which allowed players to teleport outside of a cavern
- Fixed an issue where the commentary panel would appear after quitting an online match
- Fixed an issue which could prevent a restart from the results screen
- Fixed an issue which prevented from the input language updating correctly
- Fixed an issue which prevented Single Player missions from starting if the chat window was left open at the end of an online match
- Fixed an issue which could cause loss of input on both keyboard and controller when the chat window is left open after an online match
- Fixed an issue which changes the key bindings when using NumLock
- Fixed an issue which prevented symbols from being used in chat
- Additional fix when using Alt+F4 so the game can be closed
- Players can now quit LMP games in the mid round lobby
- Replays will now fade in and fade out
- Teleport in now has the correct audio effect
- The speed for the commentary text has been increased
- Tweaked AI threat value so it will target the biggest threat instead of going after the player all the time…sneaky Worms!!
- Ninja Rope will now correctly play the correct audio when attaching to the landscape
Tweaks
- Tweak to minigun
- Tweak to Bunker Buster when used on magnets
Roadmap Updates
At the start of the month we started our Community Roadmap to keep you in the loop with our plans for the month and to get your feedback. So, let’s give you an update on what’s what shall we!
Global Chat – We were progressing at full steam with Global Chat and had originally had planned to have it released by now. Unfortunately we ran into a small hurdle of getting hold of a licence holder that would enable us to go live with the systems we wanted. Because of this we’ve had to explore other options that are now going through our QA process. We hope to have global chat seeing the light of day as soon as our QA team have signed it off.
Global Chat will be releasing on the Windows version of Worms W.M.D first with roll out to the other platforms once we know everything is working as intended.
Cross-Play Beta – We’re still on track with this to be functional by the end of the month, subject to nothing going wrong of course.
Craftable Weapon Scheme – Due to the slight bump in the plans for Global Chat we prioritised that and reassigned extra development time to addressing the issue that had arisen there. Once everything is resolved in Global Chat we’ll be pushing on with the craftable weapons scheme.
