--I have received reports recently about members of the community claiming to have a development position or inside knowledge of SSL development. I want to make it clear that this is still a one-man operation and community members who claim to have inside knowledge aren't being truthful. I am not currently active on Discord and any official news will be posted here on Steam! I also want to clarify that using any software to aim-assist or xp-farm is against the SSL Terms of Service and can result in an account ban. We're going to be more strict about this moving forward.
With that said... I'm just tying up some loose ends and doing some last minute testing on the update. There also miiiiiight be a return of a certain minigame beloved by the SSL2 Flash community... but that's just a rumor. See you Friday!
We're deep into v1.1 development and wanted to show off a new feature we're working on: Daily Challenges. Challenges will be unique per player and completing them will yield rewards.

It's been a while since I last posted so I wanted to bring you up to speed on the current development roadmap for ShellShock Live. We've got some big things in the works.

Some players have been complaining of connection issues with ShellShock Live for a long time. Today's mini-update adds a new system that intelligently tries to reconnect users disconnected by an 'EndRead' or 'ReceivedBytes == 0' error. If reconnected successfully, you should never notice you were disconnected in the first place. Previously, you would have been kicked out of the game (and match) and forced to reconnect from scratch. This feature is early in development, so it might not always work, but it's a start. For those of you affected by connection issues, please let me know if this update helps improve the situation. I've just set up a project on Crowdin for ShellShock Live, which will allow the community to help add, improve, and vote on translations. Please feel free to join through the site and help out where you can. I'm also planning to make translating weapon names optional via an in-game setting. Some players might want to keep them in English while the UI is localized. Thanks in advance for the help!
BETA Language support added for 10 additional languages! - German, French, Iralian, Spanish, Russian, Brazilian Portugese, Chinese, Turkish, Polish, and Ukranian Not all phrases are localized currently- Notable phrases missing are item names, tank part names, and challenge names. Also, In-game chat might not have the character support for all languages yet. These will be fixed in future updates.
- New in-game obstacle: Black Holes
- Black Holes affect gravity around them, but don't let your shots get sucked in!
- Black Hole Skill Shot added: +5xp
- All other in-game obstacles now have a chance to span multiple turns
- Shots fired from inside a circular bumper now bounce internally
- Improved initial connection reliability (less resorting to 'Method 2')
- Power/Angle indicator text now easier to read with a thicker outline
I've just put forward a patch release that should fix several networking issues some players were having. Notes: - Upgraded Unity to v5.6.2 for crash and bug fixes - Rolled back networking code which seemed to be causing issues (specifically with connecting and creating rooms)
