The Championship selection screen now includes a "Reset Progress" button, allowing you to reset progress for individual championships.
Championship progression has been reworked: you now need to complete specific championships to unlock corresponding cars.
If you played during Early Access and purchased a car before completing its respective championship, it will remain unlocked.
Only The Geneve, The Doggo, La Lunette, and The Croquet will be available for purchase without completing a championship, as they were added during Early Access and aren't tied to any progression.

Finally, a Human Touch

We heard your feedback and decided to address it, and were pleased to announce that you can see your Co-Pilot and Driver sitting inside the car. No more ghostly self-driving cars. From this point on, your Co-Pilot Juan and others will be right there with you.

Behind-Car Camera & Top-Down Camera: Youll see your Co-Pilot and Driver. Interior Camera: Youll see your Co-Pilot, your Driver hands are hidden.

New Achievements & PhotoMode Stickers

[Beta Patch - v0.5.5.0] Public Beta Branch Update

Hey Drivers!

Today, wed like to give you a sneak peek at whats coming in the December update for #DRIVE Rally. Since this update will be larger than previous ones, weve decided to make it available for early testing via the beta branch feature on Steam (Check below how to switch your game branch). Please note that this update is still a work in progress, and its features may undergo changes or improvements as part of our development process. Your feedback is always welcome and greatly appreciated! How to switch branches? To try the Public Beta branch, please follow these steps:

Open Steam
Right-click on #DRIVE Rally in your library
Select Properties
Go to the BETAS tab
Choose "Public Beta" from the "Beta participation" drop-down list
Wait for the game to update the files (if nothing happens, restart the Steam client)
Launch the game

Whats coming in the December update? Heres a glimpse of what you can test on the beta branch right now: Free Roam Mode Explore maps at your own pace, get familiar with every turn, and discover exciting bonuses like car upgrades or extra in-game cash. Collect all 7 hidden letters scattered across the map to unlock the next location for Free Roam exploration. At the moment you can explore all four maps available in #DRIVE Rally - Holzberg, Dry Crumbs, Revontuli, Vinh Vang.

Today were excited to roll out the #DRIVE Rally update (v0.5.4.2) across all platforms, along with our previous v0.5.3.0 update, bringing in new content and more ways to personalize your rally experience! Drivers now have the choice between two pacenote modes Emotional, Standard and option to turn them off completely. Emotional mode resembles the current setup, with added Co-Pilot comments and reactions based on your driving. Standard mode is a simpler option, providing only the essential pacenotes without any additional shouting or roasting.

Todays update is only available on Steam. In the coming week, this update and its fixes will be finalized and released on other stores. The latest #DRIVE Rally update (v0.5.3.0) is live! Responding to community feedback on pacenotes, were enhancing the Co-Pilot reaction system across all four locations. Drivers now have the choice between two pacenotes modes Emotional and Standard. Emotional mode resembles the current setup, with added Co-Pilot comments and reactions based on your driving. Standard mode is a simpler option, providing only the essential pacenotes without any additional shouting or roasting.

The Geneve Update

Hey Drivers!

New Update for #DRIVE Rally (v0.5.2.1) is live! This update introduces the brand-new carThe Geneve 1975along with significant improvements to the time penalty system. Weve also added new features to tackle excessive corner-cutting and incorporated various Quality of Life improvements suggested by the community. Introduced a slow-down feature that activates when you stray too far off-road.
Added extra safety tire walls to all short rally stages across all maps to prevent corner-cutting. The remaining tracks will be updated in future patches.
Disabled time penalties for breaking racing objects (tapes, nets, flags, direction signs, tire walls). While you'll still be slowed down when hitting them, no additional penalties will apply.
Disabled time penalty for Car Resetting. Wrecking a car is a punishment in itself.
Added top-down camera option. now you can experience the race like in the classic #DRIVE game

Fixes:

Gamepad input adjustments for better control.
Tweaked drifting physics for smoother handling.
Fixes to car colliders.

Hey Drivers!

The next official #DRIVE Rally Patch (v0.5.1.7) is ready! This patch will introduce new feature along with leaderboards saving time issues,

AI Difficulty Settings - From now on you can now choose from three different settings - LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH.

Ghosts nameplates - From now on, you'll be able to see the ghost driver's name above their car. The game will randomly choose an opponent based on your current leaderboard time, always selecting someone ahead of you on the leaderboard. Version 0.5.1.2 -> 0.5.1.7 Fixes:

NEW FEATURE: AI Difficulty Settings in Gameplay Options.
Leaderboard times saving and upload fixes.
Fixed issue for occasionally ghosts not showing during the race.
Added driver nameplates to the ghosts, so you know whose time you're trying to beat.

We're thrilled to share our release date trailer, marking the Early Access launch on September 25th! Get ready to play on Steam and Steamdeck! With 36 customizable cars divided into 3 unique classes, players can fine-tune their vehicles to match their driving style. And lets not forget the dynamic co-drivers who react to your every move, guiding you to victory and keeping you on your toes with their sharp commentary!

The Early Access edition will include:

4 unique locations, each with up to 24 stages that can be driven in standard or reversed modes.
Championship mode, featuring a selection of 4 fully voiced co-drivers.
A selection of 12 cars with unique performance stats, plus 3 different classes per car, amounting to 36 unique variations. So you can choose a ride that matches your driving style!
Plus fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and community-driven updates based on feedback from #DRIVE Rallys passionate community.

Demo Update!

Hey Drivers!

New Demo update is available to download right now. Below is the list of major changes you can expect. Your #DRIVE just got way smoother! We've tweaked the car physics and braking to make handling more natural and responsive, so from now on you can brake smoothly and drift easier while cutting those sharp corners. Co-pilots reactions were also balanced, we have reduced amount of one-liners that you could hear during the crashes or while passing race checkpoint. Hans should be now more focused on road than his jokes. Additionally, we have added the ability to edit game Options from the pause gameplay menu, along with few new Options to choose from! Soo from now on you do not have to leave the game every time you want to change something.

New Feature - Ghost! Boo!

We have also added a new function in the form of a Ghost, The Ghost memorizes the Driver's currently best track time and mimics it on the road. This allows you to race against yourself. From now on, when you cover a given rally stage for the first time, you will see your ghost on that route with your best time so far. The Ghost will update every time you beat your Global leaderboard time record. If you don't want to stress about having to set the best time, you can always turn off the Ghost at any time in game Options menu. What's changed?

Therefore, we have decided to release #DRIVE Rally into Early Access."

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

"We plan to enhance the game's quality by making various improvements throughout Early Access for at least one year. We aim to focus on every aspect of the game with the right approach. During Early Access, we will regularly update the game, actively adding content and improving in-game systems. Depending on the progress of development, we may consider extending Early Access or, if satisfied with the game's state, officially releasing it."

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

"We plan to include various additional elements, focusing on adding new content and balance adjustments based on community feedback. This includes the addition of new cars to expand our garage, new maps and tracks to race on, new Co-Pilots to drive with, and additional car customization parts and items. QnA Answers!

Hello, drivers! We're excited to inform you that we have answers to our recent QnA Session! All your questions were answered by the developer and CEO of Pixel Perfect Dude - Dariusz Pietrala. Will the game be free? We're aiming to set the price at around 20$, but you should keep an eye for a special launch discount as we want to kick things off with a bang! But most importantly - we will be using regional pricing, we want to make sure that everyone who wants to is able to join the fun, no matter where they live. Will there be rich visual customization for vehicles like different panels, wings and etc.? Yes, you will be able to customize cars but we will tell more about that feature later. In a few weeks I would say. Will there be in-game purchases after buying the game? No, #DRIVE Rally is a pay 2 play title, so there will be no microtransactions and no premium currency. There might be some paid DLC's in the future but they will usually be bigger content packs, not something small like cosmetics. Will the game ever be released on mobile platforms? We're a small indie studio so we have to take priorities - and right now our main focus is to deliver the game to PC's and Consoles. What about Online Co-Op? No plans for that at the moment, and no idea how a coop rally game could look like. Will there be Online Multiplayer? #DRIVE Rally is a rally game, so while you'll be able to compare your scores with other players, you will not be able to race them in real time. Are you planning to making various contests, e.g. for the best fan-made coolness or vinyl? Of course! The car paint contest is just a beginning! I wonder if we'll get a demo on steam to try the game out before buying it We're planning to do some closed beta tests and launch a demo next year. How many likes does fan-made idea (e.g. map, car with coolness, or mechanics) has to have got to introduce to #DRIVE or #DRIVE Rally? We're not running a popularity contest, if you have a cool idea just drop it on our Discord and we'll consider it It needs to fit our vision, the game's style and, of course, it needs to be possible to implement to the game, it doesn't matter if your idea gets 1 like or 100 likes - the chances to get in the game are the same. How much free range of customization do we have for cars and etc.? As mentioned before, we'll announce that feature later next year. Will the game have a career mode? Yes, but we will give more details closer to the release. It looks pretty cool though Will the control methods of #DRIVE rally be the same as original #DRIVE? I mean like sensitivity and steering type The driving in #DRIVE Rally is a totally new system so it will be a new experience. Acceleration, braking, handbrake, that kind of fun stuff Will there be realistic drift in the game? We're aiming for an arcade driving feel so drifting yes, but much more fun than in simulators. Not that realistic. I think I'm going to ask this the 2nd time If the game would be single player does that mean the AI also improved? #DRIVE Rally is a rally game so it won't include any real-time AI opponents during the race. Will cars have ABS? Cause it's arcade style driving it's hard to say if it's your typical ABS, but some assists are added to the car physics. Will each car in the game have its own authentic engine sound? (Or just like in the #DRIVE there will be only a few basic sounds for all cars?) We're aiming to have separate car sounds for each car and class. About the wood trailer thing from one of your devlogs, are we going to have delivery jobs? This is not that type of game, sorry And not every devlog is about #DRIVE Rally... Are there gonna be snow tracks? We will be offering a wide variety of tracks in #DRIVE Rally, stay tuned for more updates! Do the new cars in #DR have new names (like the Audi Sport Quattro S1 in the trailer)? Yes, the 2 new cars you saw were Sandsturm and Celestia, the car from the trailer is Sandsturm. Will we be able to pre-purchase it? No pre-purchase plans at the moment. Even though this is a rally-focused game (I mean, rally is literally in the name), will there be other cars available? Depends on what you mean. We will try to add some cars that are not your usual rally cars. I hope that answers the question. Will there be subtitles? Yes, accessibility is important for us and subtitles are super important part of making sure that everyone will be able to enjoy #DRIVE Rally, we will also offer a wide variety of text localization options. Will there be ridiculous vehicles? As long as it's cool and fits the style of the game, why not? Any cars based from the 90s Group A or early WRC era? We only focus on trends from each era in car manufacturing so you might expect some shapes and patterns from the 90s and the 80s. Will there be Car Tuning like Camber Offset? Because we're doing an arcade game there's no plan to include more mechanical car upgrades but only per class differences. Are there going to be seasons in the new #DRIVERally? just like what's happening in #DRIVE. No plans for seasons or season pass. Will there be a Coolness system? We're completely reworking our customization system, players will have more possibilities of customizing the car - we want to make sure that your car will be truly yours and you will be able to design it your way. Any sort of damage system? No plans for that, sorry. In the new game, we'll have new songs or remixes of the songs we already have on #DRIVE? We're creating this game from scratch, so expect new songs, however - #DRIVE veterans might spot some references here and there. What DLC's are planned to be added ingame? We're focused on finishing the game first, after that we'll think about the DLC's.
