An asteroid hit the Earth, ending all life. An alien bacteria was released from the ruins of the asteroid. It rapidly multiplied and all the bacteria born absorbed the leftover DNA of humans and animals on Earth. As a result, a new race of thriving bacteria inhabited the Earth forming a peaceful colony.
Many years later, the Earth finally became habitable for human life again. Four human survivors, lucky enough to escape the Asteroid can finally return to Earth. Not knowing what's in store...

Progress has been blooming since the last update, with a new area for the game in its early planning stages, along with some more work on Sandlyn.
One of the coolest things about Astromeda is how every character you meet feels unique, each with their own personality and way of interacting with the world.

[u]Upgrade Shard Balancing[/u]

Something youve brought up during development is how the game will be balanced around item upgrades.
I am here to reassure you that a lot of thought is going into the values picked for each upgrade shard. When the game gets closer to release, we\'ll be running plenty of playtests to ensure it\'s balanced well.
Aaand, I\'ll be testing the numbers out myself thousands of times.

The point of the upgrade shards is to let you create different playstyles by upgrading your favorite items to the max.
The fun thing about upgrade shards is that they also upgrade an item\'s unique ability instead of only plain stats. This means that if you like a certain item more than others, you\'ll be able to lean more into its playstyle using the shards!

However, their purpose isn\'t making the battles easy, but just more fun and varied.
The combat in the game is easily one of the parts we spend the most time on, making sure each attack is fair but has a difficulty that fits the current enemy and stage of the game.
I will point out that it\'s also of big importance to me not to make the game too easy.
Playtesting a bunch will help get the most well balanced results we can!
