Hello everyone! For those you I've informed that VAGUE will be on June NextFest, unfortunately I have to delay and move to October NextFest instead. As some of you guys know, VAGUE is developed by a single developer at the moment and the game is slowly turned into a big game over time. During development, I've seen several issues with the development pipeline especially when making new maps. The solution is to change the game architecture to ensure the process to be less tedious and easy for solo dev to handle. But this takes a lot of time to migrate from the old to the new architecuture... Hence, I have to delay the release. I'm truly sorry about this especially for anticipating fans from the socials. But I'm more worried about the current state of the game and don't want to disappoint players with a broken, messy and bugged game. - Wollabebes, the developer
MSME Festival 2024 is coming this 29th Feb! Under the Brunei GameOn Section, I will be showcasing a playable VAGUE Prologue Demo!
AITI just reached out IFB as they are requesting 3 organizations from BruGameDev to showcase during the BICTA Launch on 18th January 2024 at the ICC. And with that, SCE will be joining! There, I'll be showcasing the VAGUE Demo as well as the game development pipeline, from cutscene to character controllers, all within the Game Engine.
Following the unexpected attention sparked by a mysterious Reddit Post from an unknown user, the response from the local (Bruneian) community has been nothing short of astonishing. Word has even reached me through a friend's connection, indicating a surprising level of interest in my game.
This influx of attention brings a mix of emotions for me.
As a solo developer, VAGUE is planned to be a short interactive horror experience, but the sudden surge in popularity has both motivated and challenged me to elevate the game's quality to meet the growing expectations.
As a response, one of the significant enhancements I've focused on is a improving the graphics for the in-game characters. Here's a glimpse of the original version for the main character:

Initially designed with "good enough PS3" graphics in mind, I found myself compelled to elevate it to a semi-realistic PS4 standard. I believe I've made considerable progress in achieving this goal!
With that, I had to delay the release date to November 2024 (a year from now).
