I'm thrilled to say that CASTILLO: The Nine Circles has been awarded the Excellence in Direction award at the Student Game Awards. Additionally, I'm proud to have been nominated for the long-form GOTY and would like to thank the team who put together the Student Game Awards as well as the people who've enjoyed playing it.
This game lent itself to an endless supply of ideas. Im so grateful and appreciative of those who played it and hope they had as much fun as I did making it.

Enemy scripts have been modified to keep them from being too close to you when you spawn in from points that aren't the main entrance. Specifically, when you leave a shop or sublevel, you won't be jumped by enemies.
BOSS RUSH:
- There is a new boss rush area you can find in the hub world, you must beat all bosses to open it.
- Face all bosses back to back to get 3 shards.
- Gluttony's boss fight has been completely reworked
- All 3 major boss fights have been given balance tweaks along with new music
- New areas have been added to CIRCLE 05: WRATH
- CIRCLE 07: VIOLENCE has been recolored and retextured
- Can you find the secret snow globe in the hub world? It will take you to a new secret area with 2 bonus shards.
I am working on patching sound issues related to dialogue volume and music pausing randomly while also creating a new secret area. If you find any areas that pause music, or any dialogue that's too loud/quiet, please tell me via the Steam Discussions.
The lighting has been changed to look a lot nicer and to help guide players.
I have added new tutorial markers in the intro section. I have changed ziplines and mirrors to use a keypress to activate instead of auto-activating. After receiving feedback, I've modified the goop so that it all destroys from a single shot. This should also lead to a slight boost in loading times.
I have patched the game so all dialogue volume is at a similar volume. If anyone runs into any other issues please do not hesitate to let me know in the Steam Community page. Thank you, Jackson Clayton
