We're two bilingual developers from Quebec, so we released Quest Giver in both English and French. However as more players popped up in France, it was made clear to us that Quebecois French and France French are substantially different, and that much of the slang and expressions we used just don't work for our European NPCs! So now, we're pleased to announce a new language option: France French steamthumbsup Those who already play in French will be prompted once to pick their new localization of choice:
We're super grateful to Heksaeder who volunteered to go over the 2000+ lines of dialogue and Franced them up for us (while also catching numerous typos we'd missed), this wouldn't have been possible without you! We also adjusted the punctuation in the France version, using the proper quotation marks and spacing:

We've released the OST for Quest Giver here on Steam, and with the current launch discount those who already bought the game can get still get a nice deal on the tunes. Hey folks, just some quick bug fixes:

• Fixed several UI input bugs (including one submitted by TheChronicleHunter, thanks!)
• Fixed an incorrect note in one of the scenario songs
• Fixed an unlikely but devastating crash in the music engine

Added the seer, a character who makes the World Needs a Hero scenario more beginner-friendly.

Weve just launched our Discord server! Hop in to chat about Quest Giver and get a sneak peak at our next project Version 1.2 includes:

• New sound effects, especially during the end of day results
• Hints for various input modes when the game is first launched
• Mouse QoL: use the scroll wheel when viewing heroes or quests to quickly change between them

There's a nice little update for all you NPCs today:

• Set the default font to CURVY for new players (since people find it easier to read, and by golly QG is a readin' game)
• Fixed a crash in The World Needs a Hero if Krol is killed early and the goblin quest is ignored, thanks to Kerolink for finding and reporting it! steamthumbsup
• Fixed some French and English typos
• Added a more noticeable scroll for important quest results:

Just a few quality-of-life and bugfix changes: -The scenario map is now more intuitive for mouse-users (the current scenario button always spins, and theres a text hint for how to exit the map) -Pressing keyboard buttons like volume or media controls no longer puts you into keyboard input mode -Fixed some typos -Fixed some missing french text
