Fixed a bug where the greedy "enemies added" number did not reset on new runs.
- Fixed bug where duplicating RPG bullets that duplicated and blew up at the same time created dud duplicates that hung around forever.
Games are always at their best when they can be shared with friends, and video games are no exception. Which is why for the last few months, we have been working our butts off to bring you the next big update to GunDeck[100]. GunDeck[100] now features a full couch co-op mode! Grab a friend, choose a pair of ships, and get ready to dual-blast your way through GunDeck's CLASSIC waves or INFINITY mode. With 15 ships to choose from, mix and match combos for unique, powerful, and hilarious runs! If you are intimate with GunDeck[100]'s CLASSIC waves, and are worried another play though wouldn't present much of a challenge, we've got you covered there too! Beat 100 waves to unlock Side B, a whole new challenge featuring 100 waves of shiny new enemies and brand-new bullets, prowled by 10 additional bosses. Fresh new perks abound, including wacky bullet patterns and super special surprise guns. Showcasing your shooting skills in front of friends not enough? Show the world your GunDeck[100] dominance in the fancy new leaderboards! Now you can flex your INFINITY mode high scores, including resources spent and run speed. Tl;dr: GunDeck[100] now rocks a full couch co-op experience, double the levels, bad guys, and bosses, and global leaderboards for INFINITY mode glory. We hope you enjoy!
-Fixed bug where exiting game after picking up the "Double or Nothing" card, caused issues. -Fixed bug where shots fired on enemy death, were teleported in to the play area, even if the enemy was killed before entering.
GunDeck[100] has come a long way since its release and seen quite a few updates. The bigger ones have mostly consisted of added features, and, while they made the game more fun, we felt like the game could benefit from a round of improvements that didnt involve adding new content. Were not talking bug fixes there have been plenty of those! were talking about fixing the least-liked cards of the game, as well as improving some favorites. A New Perspective The first cards to get a major rework are the perspective rotation cards. These cards seemed to be the bane of some peoples existence (I wont name names), and while they were meant to be fun, we understand the novelty of having your entire screen flip 90 or 180 degrees for the rest of the game wore off after three waves, making the rest of the playthrough a bit grueling. So did we get rid of the cards? Nope! But we did improve them MAJORLY. While the cards effect continues to linger til the end of the game (or til death do you part) the scale of the effect has changed dramatically. No longer will you be expected to play the rest of the game upside-down or at a 90 degree angle. Instead, grabbing the card will rotate the perspective 10 to 15 degrees at the start of every wave in a random direction. This means that every wave theres a chance the previous tilt is undone by the new rotation. Plus, the rotation is reset when you get hit, giving your brain a break ;) Oh, and the cards offer 3 and 6 hearts as the trade off. This can really save a play through... then again... Pets Pets now fire three crystals at once before reloading. Thats it! It just felt better, so we did it. Your little helpers are now a bit more helpful. :D Cardinal and Ping Pong These movement cards have been updated to well, not suck. Cardinal movement now moves mostly in the direction that you fire, while retaining the large area it covers. Ping Pong shots now travel forward further before they start to ping pong, which they now do in a tighter pattern. Both cards now come with a boost to crystal lifetime, allowing the crystals more time to wreak sweet havoc! Inverted Crystals Oh boy... we know. Inverted crystals start slow, and speed over time. This doesn't seem good, however the benefit is that card comes with a lifetime boost to the crystals. The old cards did not mention this however. That was our bad. Weve now made this fact (crystal) clear on the cards. Crystal Splitters Ok, everyone already loved these cards. In the spirit of tweaking, weve modified the angle at which crystals split. Instead of a 90 degree angle, the crystals now split at a 45. Trust us. Its better this way. Especially when combined with other upgrades! Other than that, we added some jazzy post-processing effects (which can be toggled off if they bother your eyeballs) and some minor menu improvements. We hope youre able to hop on and enjoy the updates! We think weve really taken the game up a notch. Thanks as ever for playing our game! :)
We've noticed that our player base has been playing really hard to beat the game with every ship possible. It's the biggest compliment we could have received. Thank you! As a response, we have been working just as hard hard to make sure the fun never ends! The first thing we have done is reward all of that hard work by creating new achievements that will be awarded for all your efforts, as well as future efforts to come. There is now an achievements for beating the game with every individual ship. Don't worry, if you've already beaten the game with a ship, the game will know, and will award you that achievement the first time you boot up and play! We have also added new ships! We know how much our players enjoyed how the different ships changed the game play, as well as the challenge they presented. So we have come up with five entirely new ships that have completely unique abilities. These ships are truly game changers, and while we don't want to spoil anything, we will say they were inspired by our small community of players. These new ships were based on feedback and features our players wanted to see added to the game. Thank you everyone for all of your feedback, you are the reason we've loved working so hard on this game! Much like the original ships, the new ships must be unlocked. You'll have to beat a certain number of waves in the new game mode in order to unlock them. Speaking of... There is a new game mode! Infinity mode is just what it sounds like, a game mode where the game continues for as long as you don't die. The waves start small, with only a few enemies to defeat in the lower waves, and quickly ramps up by adding enemies the higher you get. Its as simple as that, but it creates an interesting twist that gives players a challenge, and a whole new way to experience the game, Last but not least, for those of you who are on the fence, we have released a demo that should help solidify GunDeck[100] as your next steam purchase. The demo includes the first of 16 ships available in the full game, as well as access to the new Infinity mode. Play to your hearts content, or until you are ready to try your hand at the different advantages and challenges that come from playing the other ships, as well as classic mode.
Whelp.. we know we messed up, but we want to make things right, and we are happy to announce that v1.0b52 introduces a tutorial! This should hopefully get new players up and running faster. Current players might also benefit however... For example, did you know there is a way to reload your guns manually? We have even added a way to re-set it! Just in case you forget... or go through it a bit too quickly the first time ;)
Spanish localization has been added! You can now switch the game's language in the settings menu, and play the full game in Spanish or English. The mouse is now captured by the game window. This makes playing in windowed mode more enjoyable by removing the risk of accidentally clicking outside window while playing.
