• Slime Boss now has adaptive stats to prevent the streamer from being insta-killed, and provides a better combat experience.

• Killed THE NUMBERS bug for the third time.
• Mouse cursor is now locked to the game application in windowed mode when not in the pause menu.

Tangia Updates

• Added a max enemy count to prevent viewers from crashing the game.
• Interactions are now paused when the player is interacting with a chest or NPC.
• "Pack of Enemies" reduced from 5 to 3 to make interactions more fair to the streamer.
• Enemies spawned through Tangia now have adaptive attack stats to prevent the streamer being insta-killed by high level enemies early in their run.
• Viewers username now appears over enemies they have spawned.
• Fixed an issue where "Camera Flip" would not return to normal after the set duration.

Content Added

• Rush Mode has been added. Notes: Some players felt runs were taking too long and the enemies they faced were too easy. Rush mode is a version of Ascendant with only one floor per biome, increasing the difficulty curve and shortening runs significantly).

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where the player could complete the tutorial without parrying due to the speed increase in a previous patch.
• Fixed an issue where main menu music would not play when returning from a run.

• 5 New Wand Caps have been added to the Blue Dungeon biome.

Balance Changes

• Reduced all Meizer Boss health pools.
• Increased attack delay in Meizer Miniboss final phase.
• Increased Meizer Miniboss chain speed during final phase to compensate for longer attack delay.
• Lady Tangle health pool reduced and lethality increased.
• Nature Biome Minibosses have received health reductions and damage buffs.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue with boss fights not saving correctly once defeated.
• Fixed an issue where Lady Tangle would not transition to her death state properly.

Reworks

• Blue Dungeon bosses now have significantly less health and are much more deadly. Notes: Players felt that bosses were more of a chore than a challenge, these changes aim to remedy this feeling. If the Blue Dungeon changes are well received, the changes will be implemented in the rest of the game.

• Player base movement speed increased 1 -> 1.3

• Fixed a rare issue where the players dash wouldnt complete when using the Spirit Dash Amulet and caused multiple game systems to fail.
• Fixed an issue where "Slow Attribute" stats were not being saved.
• Fixed an issue where the "Slowing Compound Augment" was not being added as intended.
• Fixed an uncommon issue that caused player knockback to not be reset after being hit by a Spore Spreader.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a CRITICAL issue where Lady Tangles death animation wouldnt finish playing which prevented the Ascendant Cap from spawning.
• Fixed a CRITICAL issue where Slimes would sometimes not be collected by the Soul Chest causing the room to stay locked.
• Fixed an issue where Spore Spreaders could knock players into corners that would trap them in place.
• Fixed an issue where restarting the tutorial wouldnt activate the intro sequence.
• Fixed an issue where items combined by the Meizer when the players inventory was full caused the item to disappear.

Balance Updates

• Decreased the maximum enemy spawn in the Hungering Goliath boss fight from 7 -> 4 to encourage more focus on the boss and decrease being overwhelmed by enemies. Notes: Player feedback suggested this boss fight felt more like an endless fighting room and less like a boss fight. This change should remedy that frustration and return focus to the boss.
• Decreased health for the Enchanted Armor and Phantom Minibosses to reduce the bullet sponge feel. Notes: Player feedback suggested these fights were feeling more tedious than challenging. Future updates may have to increase boss difficulty to offset the reduced health pools.

• Fixed a CRITICAL issue where players were unable to move Wand Caps during the tutorial when using controller.
• Fixed an issue where some players had no resolution options.
• Fixed a visual bug causing the Crystal Ball to display incorrectly when using a controller.
• Added an error message when multiple controllers are connected.

Hello everyone! With the rapid progress we have been making on the game, we no longer feel that the available demo accurately reflects the current state of the game. The demo will remain available for 1 week following this post, then it will be taken down and you will be unable to play it. Don't worry though, a new demo should be popping up around early February! Hello everyone! We've been watching your playthroughs of the Ascendant demo and are so appreciative of your overwhelming support! As expected some bugs have cropped up, luckily we were able to cast them into the shadow realm with this update.

• Fixed game breaking bug that prevented players from being able to complete rooms when an enchanted armor failed to detach.
• Fixed bug that broke the starter wand cap if combined with the "Brittlebones" cap.
• Music has been added to the main menu and tutorial.
